The purpose of this study is to investigate the behavioral factors affecting the security attitude and intention to use biometrics password based on the protection motivation theory. This study also investigates security awareness training to understand trust, privacy, and security vulnerability regarding biometric authentication password. This empirical analysis reveals security awareness training boosts the protection motivational factors that affect on the behavior and intention of using biometric authentication passwords. This study also indicates that biometric authentication passwords can be used when the overall belief in a biometric system is present. After all, security awareness training enhances the belief of biometric passwords and increase the motivation to protect security threats. The study will provide insights into protecting security vulnerability with security awareness training.

대학은 국가적으로 연구개발비 및 연구인력 측면에서 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 핵심연구기관임에도 불구하고 연구정보보안에 대한 투자가 소홀하여 연구정보 유출이 우려되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 이와 관련, 본 논문에서는 연구정보 유출을 예방하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 대학 구성원의 보안 인지수준과 실천수준을 분석하고 대학내 연구정보보안 수준 제고를 위한 구체적 방안을 제시한다. 이를 위해 먼저 대학 구성원을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사 결과를 분석하여 연구정보보안 및 보안의식에 관련된 현황을 파악한다. 이를 바탕으로 상관관계분석, 일원배치 분산분석, 다중회귀분석 등 통계분석을 실시하여 정보보안의식 및 보안실천수준, 전임교원 보안수준, 연구실 정보보안 관리절차와 같은 문제점들이 존재함을 보인다. 마지막으로 분석결과를 기반으로 교육 홍보를 통한 보안지식 및 의식 개선, 연구책임자 의무사항을 포함하는 연구실 보안관리 규정 제정, 정보유출방지 출입자 통제 솔루션 등의 보안수준 향상을 위한 대책들을 제시한다.

Purpose Since the number of personal information breach incidents increased, many people have perceived the importance of personal information protection, in the recent. Especially, the number of personal information breach targeting middle-aged and elderly people rapidly increases. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the factors which influence to fail of online information security behaviors among the elderly. Design/methodology/approach This study made a research model by adopting the factors deducted from the protection motivation theory. To analyze the research model, we conducted an online survey targeted on the elderly and middle ages users who have nations of Korean and Chinese respectively. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, we identified that only perceived severity and perceived vulnerability affected information security awareness. On contrast, it was also discovered that perceived barriers, self-efficacy, and response efficacy did not affect information security awareness. Additionally, the awareness of information security also did not affect information security behaviors. Middle-aged and elderly people with personal information protection education did more information security behaviors than people those who no education experiences. Korean middle-aged and elderly people with education significantly did more information protection behaviors than the people without the education.

This study aims at knowing both the level of information security awareness in the use of social media among female secondary school students in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and the procedures that students follow when exposed to hacking or other security problems. The study relied on the descriptive survey approach. The results showed a high percentage of social media use among the study sample, and the most used applications by the students are snapchat and Instagram applications successively. In fact, 48% of the study sample have awareness of information security, the majority of the students memorize the password in the devices, most of them do not change them, and they have knowledge of fake gates and social engineering. However, their knowledge of electronic hacking is weak, and students do not share passwords with anyone at a rate of 67%. At the same time, they do not update passwords. Moreover, most of the procedures followed by students when exposed to theft and hacking is to change the e-mail data and the password, and the results varied apart from that, which reflects the weak awareness of the students and the weakness of procedures related to information security. The study recommends the necessity to raise awareness and education of the importance of information security and safety, especially in light of what the world faces from data electronic attacks and hackings of electronic applications.

조직의 비즈니스 환경이 스마트워크와 같이 모바일이나 네트워크에 의존하는 비중이 높아지면서, 기업들은 정보보안에 더 높은 관심을 가지게 되었다. 특히, 내부자의 의한 정보유출은 기업입장에서 상당히 부정적인 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 기업뿐 아니라 정보보안 관련 연구자들은 조직원의 정보보안 정책 준수에 초점을 두어 연구를 해왔다. 그 중에서 정보보안 대책(Information security countermeasure)은 조직원의 정보보안 정책 준수 의도의 선행요인으로 알려져 왔다. 하지만 조직원이 정보보안 대책을 인식하도록 하는 선행요인에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 조직원의 보안대책 인식에 대한 선행요인으로 경영진의 정보보안 지능을 제안하고 이들의 관계를 실증적으로 연구하였다. 정보보안 지능은 Kirwan(2008)이 제안한 안전지능을 응용하여 정보보안 관련 문제해결능력, 사회적 역량, 정보보안 지식으로 구성된다. 연구결과 경영진의 정보보안 관련 문제해결 능력과 정보보안 지식은 조직원이 정보보안 정책 및 교육/훈련 프로그램을 인식하는데 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

In this era of globalization without limitation, many security issues occur, especially in a public network. Internet users significantly increased every single day. However, only some users are aware of security issues when they use Internet services. For the campus network environment, both staffs and students are susceptible to security threats such as data theft, unauthorized access and more due to different levels of awareness towards security threats. This paper is to study the level of awareness among students on security issues based on KSA model. As a case study, the survey was distributed among students in the UTeM campus network. A quantitative study was conducted, and a structured questionnaire has been designed and distributed among students. The variables were focused on three (3) aspects, which are Knowledge, Skill and Ability (KSA). The finding shows the relationship between KSA with the level of awareness among students has been revealed. From the result, Knowledge is the most significant aspect that contributes to high awareness. For the future, a study about increasing students' knowledge about security issues should be addressed.

정보보안 인식 및 행위에 미치는 요소와 관련하여 심리학에서 사용되는 개념인 낙관적 편견과의 연관성에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 즉, 개인이 가진 낙관적 편견이 정보윤리 활동에 얼마나 어느 분야에 영향을 미치는 가를 알아보는 것이다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구는 개인의 낙관적 편견과 정보보안 인식 및 정보보안 행위와의 관련성을 실증해 보았다. 국내 민간기업 종사하는 111명을 대상으로 설문조사한 결과, 개인의 보안관련 경험적 요인으로 인해 개인별 낙관적 편견이 존재하며, 낙관적 편견은 정보보안 인식에 영향을 미치며, 낙관적 편견이 많을수록 정보보안에 대한 인식은 부(-)의 영향을 미침으로서 정보보안 인식이 낮아진다는 것을 확인하였다. 즉, 낙관적 편견이 정보보안 인식에 영향을 미치며, 낙관적 편견을 줄이는 활동을 함으로써 정보유출 등 정보보안 사고를 줄이는데 기여할 것으로 판단된다. 그러나, 정보보안 인식을 제고시키는데 낙관적 편견이 조절효과를 보여줄 것으로 판단되었어나 그 조절효과를 보여주지 못하였다. 그 이유는 낙관적 편견관련 건강분야 연구와 달리 IT분야는 선행연구가 부족하여 구체적인 조절 요인을 제시하는데 어려움이 있는 등의 한계점이 제시되었다.

As the importance of Knowledge Management System (KMS) in the military increases, Republic of Korea Army (ROK Army) developed Army Knowledge Portal. Although the members in the military are encouraged to use the portal, few members currently use it. This study was conducted to find variables to predict the user's intention to use the portal, which contributes to activating the use of Army Knowledge Portal in the army. On the basis of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), ten variables such as perceived ease of use, general information security awareness, information security awareness, expectation for external rewards, expectation for relationships, sense of self-worth, attitude toward compliance with security policy, attitude toward knowledge sharing, intention of non-combat knowledge sharing, and intention of combat knowledge sharing were considered as independent variables. 105 participants on active duty who currently use or have experience to use the portal participated in this study. The results indicated that general information security awareness and information security awareness increases compliance with the information security policy. In addition, the attitude toward knowledge sharing is enhanced by expectations for relationship and sense of self-worth. Based on the results, the authors propose the need for policy alternatives to reinforce the reward system and security policy, which activates the use of Knowledge Portal Service for ROK Army.

This study aims to inspect national security consciousness of marriage migrant women, and to figure out factors which affect on awareness of national security. Based on this, this study also suggests a way to build up national security of marriage migrant women. As the result of the factors on security situation, there were several things which are necessity of education, trust in the army and government, positivity toward North Korea and so on, while necessity of education, trust in the army and government, national pride and positivity toward North Korea were on the awareness of national security. There are three ways of building up national security consciousness of marriage migrant women. First, security education is needed to be in the social adjustment program of marriage migrant women. Secondly, concern on security is required to them. Third, a necessity of production on security education material is demanded for marriage migrant women.

세계적으로 의료분야는 스마트기기의 확산과 통신 기술의 발달로 매우 빠르게 발전하게 됨에 따라 의료보안 문제가 전면으로 대두되고 있다. 또한 진료정보교류로 개인의 민감한 의료정보가 네트워크 상에서 상호 교환되기 때문에 발생 가능한 보안위험이 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 보건소, 보건지소, 보건진료소, 1차, 2차, 3차 병의원 등에서 운용하고 있는 의료기기와 의료시스템을 현장에서 검증한 결과를 토대로 NCS(National Competency Standards)와 국제표준, 의료기관 요구사항, 교육기관의 정보보호 학습모델을 참조하여 의료기관의 정보보호 인식교육을 위한 교육과정을 개발하였다. 이를 의료기관 종사자와 ICT 전문가 집단을 통한 타당성 검증을 진행하여 교육을 통한 의료기관의 정보보호 수준향상을 위한 방법을 연구 제안한다.
