This study considered the developing course on evaluation indicators of military library which published in 2007, and applied them to 84 military libraries in 2008. By analyzing the results from applying, this study also tried to find more effective evaluation indicators which are available properly. Through the output analysis of documental evaluation and actual inspection, which performed by ten organizations, on military library, revised and completed 28 indexes of 8 classes-plan, finance, service, collection management etc. and some of their evaluation scales. For accurate, objective evaluation, it is suggested that the navy and the air force libraries which have different military traits have needs for grouping separately from the army libraries, and also proposed to make standard of research on the actual condition for military libraries that can be used in each military line.

Since educating all students in learning how to learn and iic\il- to adapt thernselves to the changing society is the most desirable :.:.il:ii of education in the modern world, it is necessary that the library hc:one an increasingly important part of the students' learng activities. This paper is to make a brief trace of the development of liGl-ary instruction in American universities and colleges oiyer the decades, providing the overview of many successful components of saxe representative projects and experiments, from which to clarify coi~in;on problems and principles involl-ed in them. Any one of standard approaches so far identified has turned o:lt to be not a perfect method in that each has its own merits and pl-oblcms. It may be that the process of analysis and evaluation is 1-aluab!e for better comprehensive perspectives in future program of the instr~iction in the use of academic libraries. An effort is sincerely made to giie an impetus to the recogrriiivn of the importance of library instruction in Korean academic .yorid to meet the urgent needs of the modern society.

The purpose of this study is to develop a collaborative print journal preservation model for the medical libraries in Korea. After reviewing previous studies and advanced preservation practices, a survey was administered to the members of the Korean Medical Library Association to collect data about the present states of journal weeding and storage space as well as their needs and preferences for collaborative preservation. Based on the analysis, a hybrid model, consisting of centralized and distributed archives, is proposed with MEDLIS as infra structure. Detailed characteristics and three phases of implement strategies are described. Finally, recommendations for the Korean Medical Library Association to the successful substantiation are suggested.

It is essential that firm makes a rational and scientific decision making and creates a news value for the future direction. To do so, many firms attempt to collect meaningful data and find the filtered and refined implication for the better customer relationship and the active market drive through the various analytic tools. Among the possible IT solutions, utilization of 'Big Data' is becoming more attractive and necessary in such a way that it would help firms obtain the systemized and demanding information and facilitate their decision making process to keep up with the market needs. In this paper, it introduces the concepts and development of 'Big Data' recognized as a IT resource and solution under the rapidly changing firm environment. This study also presents the several firm cases using Big Data' and the Oracle's total data management and analytic solutions in order to support the application of 'Big Data'. Finally this paper provides a holistic viewpoint and realistic approach on use of 'Big Data' to create a new value.

AIS needs hish efficiency and safety in terms of operational management and, in the aspect of service range, it is time to minimize shadow regions through propagation evaluation of AIS transmitter. Thus this study analyzes shadow regions and the scope of propagation of waves from stations through the electric wave environment of AIS. First, this study examines the characteristics of AIS wave and draws up methods to analyze the scope of propagation of waves according to the characteristics. Second, this study finds out service regions and shadow regions of the 22 stations across the nation by analyzing the actual data based on climate and topography. Lastly, this study summarizes the results of wave conductivity evaluation and conductivity problems and proposes improvement measures.

In recent year, several types of PON(Passive Optical Networks) have been adopted into the subscriber loops for the high speed subscriber lines to meet the needs of some applications based on the Internet and the rapid increase of the Internet users. GPON(Gigabit PON) is a typical access network technology of these PONs which adopt the DBA(Dynamic bandwidth Allocation) scheme in order to transmit upstream traffic efficiently. In this paper, we introduce the gated polling system with a two-stage queue in order to analyze the delay performance of the DBA scheme in a GPON. We use a continuous time queueing model for deriving the mean cycle time and for obtaining the mean packet delay. We give some numerical results to investigate the delay performance for the symmetric polling system with statistically identical stations.

The paper examined and analyzed the factors affecting TQM in Medical libraries. The questionnaire was used for collecting data and the ANOVA and T-TEST were used for analyzing data. The results showed that librarians positively recognize the need of TQM in Medical libraries. However, the results showed that library system needs to improve the reward system for effective performance of the work. Finally, this study showed that librarians need to be well-qualified person as a professional with the CEO of strong leadership for successful TQM.

People's interest in the emergence of the era of the fourth industrial revolution based on technological innovation and consequently changes in employment structure increased. Especially, the society-wide intelligent informatization will have a great influence on the library environment, and librarian as a job in the library also needs to actively cope with these environmental changes. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the technology substitutability according to librarian's duties, and derive the core tasks of the future librarian. Finally, the new roles of future librarian are discussed in depth.

Datawebhouse consists of both web log analysis used for customer management and datawarehouse used for decision support. However, datawebhouse needs complex operations for management in order to transform and integrate data from heterogeneous data sources and distributed systems. We propose a metadata schema in order to enable data integration and data management which are essential in datawebhouse environments. We show that our proposed schema supports datawebhouse development and enables integrated asset management of business information. With ETL metadata for web log extract, we can improve the data processing time of web log.

There have been consumer needs for mobile payment system due to the rapid increase in the number of smartphones and the use of them. In tum, the market has been expanding as IT companies begin to participate in the mobile payment system business. Moreover, since the system supports better services not only covering payment service but also interworking with various apps in devices, it has been maximizing the consumer convenience. Although the convenience increased due to the mobile payment system, the vulnerability in security also increased; and smartphone users have been afraid of using the mobile payment system. This study is to examine Samsung Pay and Apple Pay, to present the vulnerability, and to suggest a countermeasure.
