This paper delves into an examination of both non-Bayesian and Bayesian estimation techniques for determining the Topp-leone inverse Weibull distribution parameters based on progressive Type-II censoring. The first approach employs expectation maximization (EM) algorithms to derive maximum likelihood estimates for these variables. Subsequently, Bayesian estimators are obtained by utilizing symmetric and asymmetric loss functions such as Squared error and Linex loss functions. The Markov chain Monte Carlo method is invoked to obtain these Bayesian estimates, solidifying their reliability in this framework.

In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new category of rule-based fuzzy inference system based on Information Granulation(IG). The proposed rule-based fuzzy modeling implements system structure and parameter identification in the efficient form of “If..., then...” statements, and exploits the theory of system optimization and fuzzy implication rules. The form of the fuzzy rules comes with three types of fuzzy inferences: a simplified one that involves conclusions that are fixed numeric values, a linear one where the conclusion part is viewed as a linear function of inputs, and a regression polynomial one as the extended type of the linear one. By the nature of the rule-based fuzzy systems, these fuzzy models are geared toward capturing relationships between information granules. The form of the information granules themselves becomes an important design features of the fuzzy model. Information granulation with the aid of HCM(Hard C-Means) clustering algorithm hell)s determine the initial parameters of rule-based fuzzy model such as the initial apexes of the membership functions and the initial values of polynomial function being used in the Premise and consequence Part of the fuzzy rules. And then the initial Parameters are tuned (adjusted) effectively with the aid of the improved complex method(ICM) and the standard least square method(LSM). In the sequel, the ICM and LSM lead to fine-tuning of the parameters of premise membership functions and consequent polynomial functions in the rules of fuzzy model. An aggregate objective function with a weighting factor is proposed in order to achieve a balance between performance of the fuzzy model. Numerical examples are included to evaluate the performance of the proposed model. They are also contrasted with the performance of the fuzzy models existing in the literature.
Software reliability growth models are used in testing stages of software development to model the error content and time intervals between software failures. This paper presents a stochastic model for the software failure phenomenon based on a nonhomogeneous Poisson process(NHPP) and performs Bayesian inference using prior information. The failure process is analyzed to develop a suitable mean value function for the NHPP ; expressions are given for several performance measure. Actual software failure data are compared with several model on the constant reflecting the quality of testing. The performance measures and parametric inferences of the suggested models using Rayleigh distribution and Laplace distribution are discussed. The results of the suggested models are applied to real software failure data and compared with Goel model. Tools of parameter point inference and 95% credible intereval was used method of Gibbs sampling. In this paper, model selection using the sum of the squared errors was employed. The numerical example by NTDS data was illustrated.

In this paper, we propose a Label Reassignment Strategy to improve the performance of an object detection algorithm. Our approach involves two stages: an inference stage and an assignment stage. In the inference stage, we perform multi-scale inference with predefined scale sizes on a trained model and re-infer masked images to obtain robust classification results. In the assignment stage, we calculate the IoU between bounding boxes to remove duplicates. We also check box and class occurrence between the detection result and annotation label to re-assign the dominant class type. We trained the YOLOX-L model with the re-annotated dataset to validate our strategy. The model achieved a 3.9% improvement in mAP and 3x better performance on AP_S compared to the model trained with the original dataset. Our results demonstrate that the proposed Label Reassignment Strategy can effectively improve the performance of an object detection model.
In order to provide with personalized recommendation service in context-awareness environment, the collected context data should be analyzed fast and the objective of user should be able to inferred effectively. But, the context collected from the mobile devices is not suitable for applying the existing inference algorithms as they are due to the omission or uncertainty of information and the efficient algorithms are required for mobile environment. In this paper, the behavior pattern was classified using naive bayes classification for minimize the loss caused by the omission or error of information. And pattern matching was used to effectively learn of the users inclination and infer the behavior purpose. The accuracy of the suggested inference model was evaluated by applying to the application recommendation service in the smart phones.
This study proposed a face region detection algorithm using fuzzy inference of pixel hue and intensity. The proposed algorithm is composed of light compensate and face detection. The light compensation process performs calibration for the change of light. The face detection process evaluates similarity by generating membership functions using as feature parameters hue and intensity calculated from 20 skin color models. From the extracted face region candidate, the eyes were detected with element C of color model CMY, and the mouth was detected with element Q of color model YIQ, the face region was detected based on the knowledge of an ordinary face. The result of experiment are conducted with frontal face color images of face as input images, the method detected the face region regardless of the position and size of face images.
In the construction of successful fuzzy models and/or controllers for nonlinear systems, the identification of a good fuzzy inference system is an important yet difficult problem, which is traditionally accomplished by a time-consuming trial-and-error process. In this paper, we propose a systematic identification procedure for complex multi-input single-output nonlinear systems with DNA coding method. A DNA coding method is optimization algorithm based on biological DNA as conventional genetic algorithms(GAs) are. The strings in the DNA coding method are variable-length strings, while standard GAs work with a fixed-length coding scheme. the DNA coding method is well suited to learning because it allows a flexible representation of a fuzzy inference system. We also propose a new coding method fur applying the DNA coding method to the identification of fuzzy models. This coding scheme can effectively represent the zero-order Takagi-Sugeno(TS) fuzzy model. To acquire optimal TS fuzzy model with higher accuracy and economical size, we use the DNA coding method to optimize the parameters and the number of fuzzy inference system. In order to demonstrate the superiority and efficiency of the proposed scheme, we finally show its application to a Duffing-forced oscillation system.

The learning order of teaching materials to be a learning data in CAI is arranged from an easy item to a difficult one A learning in not necessary to be learned arranged this order. Actually the learning is done by the rules of trial and error on the sequences of an arrangement among items. In this papers, the constructed is modelled by the fuzzy inference after leaning the understanding on items by the intelligent CAI through the rile of trial and error of fuzziness. Given the difference of leaning and understanding, the leaning model is quantified by the order relationship among items and by the rules of fuzzy inference. The rule of trial and error of learning is restricted to the treatment of CAL system minimizing the rules of inference.

Accurate detection and classification of faults on transmission lines is vitally important. In this respect, many different types of faults occur, such as inter alia low impedance faults (LIF) and high impedance faults (HIF). The latter in particular pose difficulties for the commonly employed conventional overcurrent and distance relays, and if undetected, can cause damage to expensive equipment, threaten life and cause fire hazards. Although HIFs are far less common than LIFs, it is imperative that any protection device should be able to satisfactorily deal with both HIFs and LIFs. Because of the randomness and asymmetric characteristics of HIFs, their modeling is difficult and numerous papers relating to various HIF models have been published. In this paper, the model of HIFs in transmission lines is accomplished using the characteristics of a ZnO arrester, which is then implemented within the overall transmission system model based on the electromagnetic transients program (EMTP). This paper proposes an algorithm for fault detection and classification for both LIFs and HIFs using Adaptive Network-based Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The inputs into ANFIS are current signals only based on Root-Mean-Square (RMS) values of 3-phase currents and zero sequence current. The performance of the proposed algorithm is tested on a typical 154 kV Korean transmission line system under various fault conditions. Test results demonstrate that the ANFIS can detect and classify faults including LIFs and HIFs accurately within half a cycle.
