The research and applications of numerical methods of design optimization on structural dynamic behaviors are presented in this paper. The emphasis is focused on the dynamic design optimization of aerospace structures, particularly those composed of composite laminate and sandwich plates. The methods of design modeling, sensitivity analysis on structural dynamic responses, and the optimization solution approaches are presented. The numerical examples of sensitivity analysis and dynamic structural design optimization are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the numerical methods.

This research proposes a Pareto-based multi-objective optimization approach to class-based storage warehouse design, considering a two-block warehouse that operates under the class-based storage policy in a low-level, picker-to-part and narrow aisle warehousing system. A mathematical model is formulated to determine the number of aisles, the length of aisle and the partial length of each pick aisle to allocate to each product class that minimizes the travel distance and maximizes the usable storage space. A solution approach based on multiple objective particle swarm optimization is proposed to find the Pareto front of the problems. Numerical examples are given to show how to apply the proposed algorithm. The results from the examples show that the proposed algorithm can provide design alternatives to conflicting warehouse design decisions.

이 연구는 유휴산업시설의 문화재생 사업에 있어 건축계획의 물리적 디자인 요소를 적용하는 방식을 분석하기 위해, 정부에서 시행이 완료되어 운영되고 있는 대표적 유휴산업시설들을 대상으로 문화재생의 주요 평가 지표인 역사성, 상징성, 지속성을 구체화하고 있는 방안을 구조적, 재료적, 자원적 측면에서 보존, 보완, 개조의 틀로서 그 척도를 두어 분석함으로서 현재 문화재생 사업의 건축계획적 적용방식의 유형을 정리하여 이를 향후 새로운 재생 건축계획의 방식으로 확장하는데 기초자료로 활용되도록 한다.
