We present the concept of a Medical Digital Twin (MDT) that can predict and analyze medical diseases using computer simulations and introduce a dynamic virtual body capture system to create it. The MDT is a technology that creates a 3D digital virtual human body by reflecting individual medical and biometric information. The virtual human body is composed of a static virtual human body that reflects an individual's internal and external information and a dynamic virtual human body that reflects his motion. Especially we describe an early version of the dynamic virtual body capture system that enables continuous simulation of musculoskeletal diseases.

A multiple classification system based on a new boosting technique has been approached utilizing different biometric traits, that is, color face, iris and eye along with fingerprints of right and left hands, handwriting, palm-print, gait (silhouettes) and wrist-vein for person authentication. The images of different biometric traits were taken from different standard databases such as FEI, UTIRIS, CASIA, IAM and CIE. This system is comprised of three different super-classifiers to individually perform person identification. The individual classifiers corresponding to each super-classifier in their turn identify different biometric features and their conclusions are integrated together in their respective super-classifiers. The decisions from individual super-classifiers are integrated together through a mega-super-classifier to perform the final conclusion using programming based boosting. The mega-super-classifier system using different super-classifiers in a compact form is more reliable than single classifier or even single super-classifier system. The system has been evaluated with accuracy, precision, recall and F-score metrics through holdout method and confusion matrix for each of the single classifiers, super-classifiers and finally the mega-super-classifier. The different performance evaluations are appreciable. Also the learning and the recognition time is fairly reasonable. Thereby making the system is efficient and effective.
The purpose of this study was the development of teat-cup attachment module for robot milking system. The teat-cups attachment module was controlled on the two dimensional space independently, Each teat cup of an end effector was independently controlled via two axis control based on the position information data obtained from the image processing system. This system was developed install of all 4 teat cups at the same time after adjusting positions of each teat sequentially. The individual motion system was operated using two servo motors for the high speed of teat position adjustment. The errors fur the individual motion system of teat cups were maximum 1.0mm, minimum 0.0mm, and average 0.6mm. The operating time for adjusting the teat cups position required about 1.0 second. It is envisaged that teat cups attachment module can be applicate to milking robot being developed in consideration of the experiment results for the teat cups operation accuracy and the actuation speed of servo motors.
Smart structural systems are defined as ones that demonstrate the ability to modify their characteristics and/or properties in order to respond favorably to unexpected severe loading conditions. The performance of such a task requires a set of additional components to be integrated within such systems. These components belong to three major categories, sensors, processors and actuators. It is wellknown that all structural systems entail some level of uncertainty, because of their extremely complex nature, lack of complete information, simplifications and modeling. Similarly, sensors, processors and actuators are expected to reflect a similar uncertain behavior. As it is imperative to be able to evaluate the impact of such components on the behavior of the system, it is as important to ensure, or at least evaluate, the reliability of such components. In this paper, a system model for reliability assessment of smart structural systems is outlined. The presented model is considered a necessary first step in the development of a reliability assessment algorithm for smart structural systems. The system model outlines the basic components of the system, in addition to, performance functions and inter-relations among individual components. A fault tree model is developed in order to aggregate the individual underlying component reliabilities into an overall system reliability measure. Identification of appropriate limit states for all underlying components are beyond the scope of this paper. However, it is the objective of this paper to set up the necessary framework for identifying such limit states. A sample model for a three-story single bay smart rigid frame, is developed in order to demonstrate the proposed framework.
The directivity characteristics of acoustic transducers for conventional single-beam echo sounders considerably limit the detection of fish-size information in acoustic field surveys. To overcome this limitation, using the split-aperture technique to estimate the direction of arrival of single-echo signals from individual fish distributed within the sound beam represents the most reliable method for fish-size classification. For this purpose, we design and develop a split-beam data acquisition and processing system to obtain fish-size information in conjunction with a 50-kHz single-beam echo sounder. This split-beam data acquisition and processing system consists of a notebook PC, a field-programmable gate array board, an external single-transmitter module with a matching network, and four-channel receiver modules operating at a frequency of 50-kHz. The functionality of the developed split-beam data processor is tested and evaluated. Acoustic measurements in an experimental water tank showed that the developed data acquisition and processing system can be used as a fish-sizing echo sounder to estimate the size distribution of individual fish, although an external single-transmitter module with a matching network is required.
The objects of this study are to consider the current features and the development process of the utilizing system of aquaculture farms in Japan, and to suggest the theoretical basis for improvement of aquaculture system of Korea in the future through the analysis of background of the liberalization theory proposed recently. The aquaculture-fishery system of Japan was begun from the Meiji Era Fishery Act and New Fishery Act of the World war II. A small sum of fishery fee is paid to the fishery cooperative having fishing rights for securing fishing area newly, because the aquaculture of Japan belong to fishery cooperative not individual ownership of union membr of cooperative society, the other words, cultivation fisheries household. In case of Korea, there are several differences with Japan as follows; almost cultivation fisheries household has a individual license, the lisence of fishing rights are recognized as an article, the license of fishing lights are able to do sale. Therefore, it is needed to paid a lots of money for securing fishing area newly. On the other hand, advanced countries in the marine aquaculture such as Norway have reached the stage where the managing abilities of marine aquaculture are similar to those in the manufacturing industry. And the number of large scale aquaculture farms with developed technologies and advanced marketing strategies in those countries is increasing. Considering that the marine aquaculture in Japan under the similar fishery systems of Korea has developed the state-of-the-art management skills or lead to large scale management, it is difficult to expect the decrease in the production costs under the small scale family business in Korea and this will lead to the decreasing competitive advantage over the imported seafood. Therefore marine aquaculture in Korea needs to increase the economy of scale to acquire the competitive advantage.
