  • 최근 LBS(location-based service) 및 텔레매틱스(telematics) 응용의 효과적인 지원을 위해, 이상적인 유클리디언(Euclidean) 공간 대신, 실제 도로나 철도와 같은 공간 네트워크(network)를 고려한 연구가 활발하게 수행중이다. 본 논문에서는 공간 네트워크를 고려한 기존 k-최근접 질의 처리 알고리즘의 문제점을 제시하고, 공간 네트워크 데이터베이스에 보다 효율적인 새로운 k-최근접 질의 처리 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 질의처리 알고리즘은 순서정보 및 Materialization 기법에 근거하며 기존 방법의 검색 성능을 향상시킨 방법이다. 마지막으로 제안하는 k-최근접 알고리즘을 기존의 알고리즘과 성능 비교를 수행한다.

  • The amount of digital content grows exponentially by the development of the internet and the change of computing environments and the target also is getting wider. The industry using this digital content has been growing greatly. However, the distribution of pirated digital content is increasing using internet because digital content is easy to store and transmit and the damage is growing. In this paper, we propose safety trading system which can conceal the author's information safely in digital content in order to block illegal distribution of digital content. ARIA encryption algorithm is used to protect the concealed information of author in digital content and it is a help to track the illegal traders by doing fingerprinting of buyer information to digital content and managing the transaction information. The technical support for copyright dispute is to allow by providing the capability to verify illegal edit to original digital contents.

  • For the representative beat calculation and efficient rhythm analysis new method, that is, QRS typification were proposed. A problem that were resulted from pattern classification based on binary logic could be solved out by the fuzzy clustering and classification nodes could be reduced by using the proposed new feature vector. The accurate representative beat could be obtained by excluding the ST-T segment that happened outlier through ST-T segment typification procedure.

  • Real option valuation considers the managerial flexibility to make ongoing decisions regarding implementation of investment projects and deployment of real assets. The appeal of the framework is natural given the high degree of uncertainty that firms face in their technology investment decisions. This paper suggests an algorithm for estimating volatility of logarithmic cash flow returns of real asset based on Monte Carlo simulation. This research uses a binomial model to obtain point estimate of real option value with embedded expansion option case and provides also an array of numerical results to show the interval estimation of option value using Monte Carlo simulation.

  • Recently, with the sensor technology, research about the electronic nose system which imitated the olfactory organ are being pushed actively. But, in case of general electronic nose system, an aroma is measured at the laboratory space where blocked external environment and is analyzed a part of measured data. In this paper, we propose the system which can measure and recognize an aroma in natural environment. We propose the Entropy algorithm which can detect the sensor reaction section among the continuous detection processing about an aroma. And we implement the aroma recognition system using the PCA(Principal Components Analysis) and K-NN(K-Nearest Neighbor) about the detected aroma. In order to evaluate the performance, we measured the aroma pattern, about 9 aroma oil, 50 times respectively. And we experimented the aroma detection and recognition using this. There was an error of 0.2s in the aroma detection and we get 84.3% recognition rate of the aroma recognition.

  • In this paper, a high speed motor drive system using an indirect adaptive neural network controller is proposed. In the variable high speed motor drives, the speed response can be deteriorated by long settling time and high overshoot. To obtain a good dynamical performance, an adaptive feedforward controller consisted of Neural Network Controller(NNC) and Neural Network Emulator(NNE) is applied. The NNE is used to identify the parameters and characteristics of high speed motor. To train the controller, the weights are dynamically adjusted using the back propagation algorithm. Computer simulation and implementation of the proposed system is described.

  • A backward Dynamic Programming(DP) model for the optimal facility replacement decision problem during a finite planning horizon is presented. Multiple alternative challengers to a current defender are considered. All facilities are assumed to have finite service lives. The objective of the DP model is to maximize the profit over a finite planning horizon. As for the cost elements, purchasing cost, maintenance costs and repair costs as well as salvage value are considered. The time to failure is assumed to follow a weibull distribution and the maximum likelihood estimation of Weibull parameters is used to evaluate the expected cost of repair. To evaluate the revenue, the rate of operation during a specified period is employed. The cash flow component of each challenger can vary independently according to the time of occurrence and the item can be extended easily. The effects of inflation and the time value of money are considered. The algorithm is illustrated with a numerical example. A MATLAB implementation of the model is used to identify the optimal sequence and timing of the replacement.

  • Road traffic noise barriers being used to reduce the noise, but the city surroundings inhibition, ecosystem disturbance, and it is difficult to maintain. Can enhance or complement the existing noise barrier performance, so that it is necessary to develop an electronic noise-reduction system In this paper, we proposed an electronic road noise reduction devices to reduce road noise for a DSP-based signal processing and analog signal input-output controller. In order to verify the control performance, we performed noise reduction experimentation of ANC by filtered-X LMS algorithm and traffic noise signal injection. The controller is equipped with noise reduction algorithms were tested on the characteristics of directional and omnidirectional speaker.

A Low-area and Low-power 512-point Pipelined FFT Design Using Radix-24-23 for OFDM Applications

  • In OFDM-based systems, FFT is a critical component since it occupies large area and consumes more power. In this paper, we present a low hardware-cost and low power 512-point pipelined FFT design method for OFDM applications. To reduce the number of twiddle factors and to choose simple design architecture, the radix-$2^4-2^3$ algorithm are exploited. For twiddle factor multiplication, we propose a new canonical signed digit (CSD) complex multiplier design method to minimize the hardware-cost. In hardware implementation with Intel FPGA, the proposed FFT design achieves more than about 28% reduction in gate count and 18% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous approaches.
