This paper discusses an expert system to generate part codes and construct part families, ESPCC, for the group technology application. The ESPCC, that is developed by using VP-Expert rule-based expert system development tool, embodies the specific knowledge of human experts to determine part codes consistent with the OPITZ classification and coding system. The ESPCC is implemented on an IBM compatible personal computers running MS-DOS.

This paper describes an improved FES system to restorp paralyzed extremities in spinal-cord-injured patients. By using time-division method in the proposed FES system, we can reduce the size and weight of system despite of increasing channels. We designed a DC-DC converter to adapt the condition of each patient. We could reduce the cost by using easily available apparatus like an IBM-PC for the stimulus-pattern-creating system and standardized parts for the protable FES system.

A high performance Butterfly Arithmetic Unit for FFT processor using two adders is proposed in this papers, which is Based on the distributed and merged arithmetic. Due to simple and easy architecture to implement, this proposed processor is well suited to systolic FFT processor. Simulation was performance using YSLOG (Yonsei logic simulator) on IBM AT computer, to verify logic. By using 3um double Metal CMOS technology,Butterfly arithmetic have been achieved in 1.2 usec.

An instrumentation system for the automatic measurement of body sway has been developed. The system consists of a force platform, amplifiers, and data acquisition and display software, operating on a computer. We used only the force platform and electronic amplifying unit in Kistler Biomechanics System to obtain precise measurements, and developed the data acquisition and analysis software using an IBM PC With 12 bit A/D converter. The system can be used in various specialized disciplines, such as ergonomics, rehabilitation, neuromuscular control, as well as sprots biomechanics.

스핀밸브 구조는 현재 고기록밀도 자기저장 분야에서 그 응용범위가 넓다. 이런 고기록밀도를 달성하기 위해서는 자기저항곡선의 비대칭성 문제가 중요하다. 그러므로 비대칭성 문제를 해결하여 센서의 민감도를 높이기 위해서는 고정층에서 나오는 정자기장을 제어하는 것이 필요하다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해 IBM에서 최초로 합성형 스핀밸브 구조가 도입하였다 [1]. 이런 합성형 스핀밸브는 기존의 스핀밸브에 비해 열적으로나 또는 자기적으로 매우 안정한 장점을 가지고 있다. (중략)

As the growth of internet and the diffusion of wide multimedia applications are increased, the ownership verification and authentication in communication channel for a digital image become more important. For these purpose there are many watermarking scheme available for image, video stream and audio data. In this paper we studied on techniques for integrity and authentication of digital images and proposed new watermarking algorithm. The proposed algorithm is implemented in C language on IBM-PC and the test results are shown.

European Union bans the usage of Pb in electronics from July 1 st, 2006. The Near-eutectic Sn-Ag-Cu alloys are the leading candidate Pb-free solders (for SMT card assembly). .The microstructure of Sn-Ag-Cu alloys is discussed in terms of solidification, composition and cooling rate. Methods of controlling Ag3Sn plates are discussed. .Thermo-mechanical fatigue behaviors of Sn-Ag-Cu solder joints are reviewed. Tin pest, whisker growth, electromigration of Pb-free solders are discussed.

한국건설기술연구원 구조연구실에서는 한국전력공사 토건연구실과 공동으로 N5200기종을 이용하여 철근콘크리트로 된 건축라멘구조의 해석 및 설계를 일관작업으로 시행할 수 있는 프로그램 KARST.1을 개발하였다. 본래 OA(Office Automation)용으로 개발된 N5200 기종은 현재 많은 분야에 보급, 사용되고 있는 IBM PC호환기종 보다 그 보급대수는 적지만 국내 여러기관에서 사용되고 있으며 계속적인 기계 성능의 향상과 다양한 Utility를 제공함으로써 적용분야를 증가시킬 수 있으리라 본다. 그러나 과학기술용으로 적용하기에는 아직 불편한 점이 많아 이 기종을 사용하여 구조물해석, 설계용으로 프로그램을 개발할 때 발생된 문제점과 KARST.1의 기능 및 특징을 간단히 소개하겠다.

본 논문에서는 문자 인식이 끝난 한국어 원문에 대해 한국어 Lexicon에 기반을 둔 후처리의 구현을 보여주는 것을 목적으로 한다. 빈번하게 오인식되는 음절에 대해 이의 옳은 음절을 대응시킨 테이블을 만들어 놓고, 오인식이라고 정의된 음절이 출현했을 때는 이를 원래의 옳은 음절로 대체시킨 어절과 오인식된 음절이 포함된 어절에 대해 한국어 형태소 분석을 행함으로써, 올바른 형태소가 분석될 경우, 이를 옳은 음절로 간주한다. 실험결과 약 90%에서 95%에 달하는 인식율이 이 후처리 방법에 의해서 95%에서 99%로 높아졌다.

This article develops to determine and to allocate the two level factors at the table of orthogonal arrays. The column numbers of two factors and two-factor interaction can be determined in applying the bit-by-bit EX-OR operation. The assignment of the Two factors and Two factor interaction is attained by USING COMPUTER, IBM PC/AT applying algorithm of EX-OR operation Theory.
