The costume, considered as a manner of clothing, represents the distinctive character of a country, of an epoch, of a personage; and always it mirrors the vicissitudes of human civilization. It is interesting to study the costume of ancient Western Asia, its civilization and culture were transmitted to Egypt and Greece. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Loin clothes, tunics, wraps were in Western Asia. 2. Sleeves and Trousers has been the great contribution to costume. 3. The Art of dyeing, weaving, and embroidering were well known. 4. Tassels and Fringes were used in Western Asia. 5. Egypt and Greece were affected by Western Asia.

Science fiction films touch coming-future themes, particularly those referring specifically to futuristic technology and its influence over human life. Dealing with the resistance of the replicants in the approaching millennium, Blade Runner brings the feat of modern civilization into doubt through the image of the dystopian future. In Blade Runner, a city is filled with waste, pollution, and dirt and a corrosive rain falls from the polluted clouds. Adorno criticizes contemporary society and its civilization. Characterizing advanced capitalist society by its total administration penetrating into every sphere of life, he contends that modern society promotes alienation, atomization, conformism, and fatalism. Blade Runner provides a chance to contemplate the problems of modern society, proposed by Adorno's critical works. Therefore, this paper attempts to analyze futuristic characteristics described in the film with Adorno's critique of modern society.

In contemporary modern architecture, it can be said that Western modern architecture, which has advanced in technology and ideology, is leading the world architecture today. However, because it is pointed out that modern architecture, mainly represented by Western architecture nowadays, is based on the crystal of Western civilization's consumption and capitalist culture, and because it seems not absolute for the eternal sustainable development of the Earth and happiness of Humankind, it is assumed that the new conceptions of Architecture should include the cultural, ecological and environmental characteristics of the region. So because it is thought that the latent characteristics of East Asian architecture including China, Japan and Korea has the advantage of reducing the deficiency of Western modern architecture and contributing to human civilization, this study was written to find a new direction of architecture by finding the differences of architectural characteristics(intrinsic and extrinsic) in the interior of the architectural result through comparison between the Eastern and Western architecture.

이항로(李恒老)의 심설(心說)은 기정진(奇正鎭), 이진상(李震相), 전우(田愚) 등의 심설과 비견되는 중요한 학설이다. 본 연구에서는 이항로 심설이 형성되는 과정에서 서학(西學)의 영향을 고찰하였다. 서학은 17세기 초부터 유입되었으며, 18세기에는 사회 안정과 함께 유교지식인들의 연구대상이었다. 그러나 19세기로 들면서 동아시아 국제질서의 혼란과 더불어 서학 역시 배척되었다. 이항로에게 서학은 서세동점(西勢東漸)의 원인을 분석하는 도구였다. 그는 서학을 주로 기독교의 입장에서 보았다. 특히 기독교를 인간보다는 신을 중시하는 종교로 인식했다. 이와 대조적으로 유교 즉 성리학은 신이 아닌 인간의 도덕 주체성을 중시하는 사고체계로 이해했다. 이 과정에서 심(心)은 인간의 주체성으로 확장되어 갔다. 하지만 이항로는 기존 유교 질서의 묵수를 강조하여 서학의 합리성을 도외시하였다. 즉, 서구문명을 주체적으로 수용하지도, 당대 세계질서에 적절하게 대응하지도 못하였다. 한편, 현재 우리는 4차 산업혁명이라는 새로운 문명의 시대로 들어가고 있다. 이에 이항로의 심설에서 서학과 관련한 부분은 이 새로운 문명을 주체적으로 수용하는데 중요한 방법적 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

이 연구는 중국의 고문헌 관리 법제화에 대한 조사 분석을 목적으로 진행하였다. 우선 중국의 법체계와 고문헌 관리 정책을 살피고, 4종의 법률과 6종의 행정법규, 4종의 부문규장 및 13종의 행정규범성문건을 조사하였다. 그중 고문헌 관리 내용을 다루고 있는 1) 2013년의 법률 '중국문물보호법', 2) 1981년의 행정법규 '중국고문헌정리지시', 3) 1986년의 부문규장 '중의고문헌 연구정리출판 관리세칙', 4) 2001년의 부문규장 '문물소장품 등급결정 표준', 5) 2003년의 부문규장 '문물경매관리 임시규정'을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 1) 고문헌 관리 정책의 중요성, 2) 국가 차원의 고문헌 관리, 3) 교육 확대와 인적자원의 양성, 4) 고문헌 관리 전문기구의 설치, 5) 중의고문헌 부문의 특별 관리 등의 중국 고문헌 관리의 시사점을 도출하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the meanings of signs represented in contemporary fashion based on the Peirce's trisection theory in order to present various types of sign representation that satisfies aesthetic value and characteristics of the age of information and image. Types of signs represented in contemporary fashion can be summarized into letters, numbers, codes, pictures, logos, characters and emblems. The meanings of signs were analyzed based on the Peirce's trisection theory, resulting in representation of play, brandsymbol, eroticism and suggestion. The play was categorized into infantile and parodic. The former inspires unexpected interest and laughter from contemporary people in the age of disorder through humorous characters, cartoons and illustrations. The latter inspires laughter by parodying things and it's intention is to release the isolation of people and their relative poverty through pictures for which techniques of parody and surrealism were used. Most of the brandsymbols represented by logos, used for textile and clothing design as well as accessories are optimal signs that construct brand images. Eroticism means emotion, impulses, senses of value and sexual attraction. A desire to represent sexual attraction is an expression of eroticism and self-expression to adjust in a changing society. Suggestion tends to pursue the image of harmony with nature in a world which is pressed by material civilization. Humans represent illuminating messages through direct slogans by characters, natural objects and motives of social phenomenon in pursuit of the benefits of abundant material civilization in the structure of a highly advanced scientific civilization and industrial society.

도보는 인류문명의 발전에 기초가 된 인간의 기능 중 한가지이다. 도보 능력은 먼저 마을을 만들고 인류의 도시 패턴을 만들었다. 도시는 보행자의 편의와 행복한 삶을 위해 건설되었다. 하지만 기존의 도시는 물질문명이 발달한 이후의 급속한 차량증가와 인구로 북적거리게 되었다. 한편, 보행자 공간은 도시 지역에서 소외되고 있다. 본 연구는 도심 가로변 보행공간 특성과 이에 대한 개선방향을 제시하고자 함으로써 다음의 방향을 택하였다. 첫째, 문헌조사 및 고찰에 의하여 보행 공간의 의의와 문제점을 찾아내어 이들과 보행자 행태에 영향을 미치는 주위환경과의 관계를 규명하고, 둘째, 보행자의 공간영역(신체적, 심리적) 및 보행특성, 서비스 수준 등을 조사하여 쾌적한 보행공간으로의 개선에 대한 기초자료로 하며, 셋째, 실지 조사에 의한 자료와 위의 문헌조사를 근거로 하여 여러 제안을 추출하여 그 중에서 가장 적합한 최선의 대안을 제시하는 방안을 택한다.

All vague and constructions of contemporary cultural environment have been reorganized and the relationship between people and culture can't follow development speed of rapid material civilization development and being informationalized. Because of the circumstances, physical environment is changing into other cultural environment, existence of human being is at a crisis. Physical value precedes mental value and rapid changing causes culture lag. Modernism design of 20th century suggested standard, simplicity and mass production methods, but nowaday, as human being complexity is increasing, information-media are needed to satisfy that. Namely usual design thoughts have to be changed because our life is surrounded by many kinds of powerful media sings and various mixed cultural circumstances. People predict that the characteristics of new ages are 'Immateriality', 'Sensoriality', 'multimedia'. Amongst them, medial spatial characteristics will be eventually remarkable in commercial space which is coincided with economic logic and multilateral culture. This study is a focus on commercial space which emphasis contemporary medial characteristics and observes medial meaning and various technique through some experimental works in Korea. Also this study's purpose is to examine design directions which correspond with contemporary Korea culture.

With the development of human civilization, humanity has grown to use enormous of energy. As the use of energy increases, although human life has become prosperous and materially plentiful, the consequent problems are becoming more serious day by day. The main cause of the emission of greenhouse gases is the enormous amount of carbon dioxide generated by the burning of fossil fuels. Many land-based wind power generator facilities complexes, which is one of the new renewable energy sources, have currently been completed and put in operation or are planned to bo constructed in Korea. However, in consideration of the economy and the effect on the environment, the progressive trend is to plan and install such complexes at sea rather than on land. In this paper, we shall investigate and analyze the location selection for offshore wind power generator facilities.

The phenomenon due to the abundance of material civilization, and the destruct of environment provokes the damage to the order of nature in the earth. To prevent the fact, the necessity of the ecology start to become influential an important issue. In an outlook on the world of the ecological concept, human evolves with an environment as the mutual interdependence eventually. The approaching of the ecological method to reform of the present environment is an essentiality. In a viewpoint, the interior landscape starts to distinguish as an ecological concept in interior environment. To recognize the necessity of an interior landscape, comparison and analysis have been carried out in the worldwide examples of the lobby space in high-rise office buildings. In the results, the interior landscape is an essential fact to create an ecological interior environment. As the perceiving of the importance in the composition of the ecological environment, it needs to recognize the imminence the introduction of the ecological concept in the human life.
