강선의 편조각도에 따른 고압호스의 응력변화 특성 (Stress Variation Characteristics of a High-Pressure Hose with Respect to Wire Braid Angle)

  • A high-pressure hose includes rebar layers of the synthetic fiber such as nylon or a steel wire to control internal pressure. The hose assembly is manufactured through the swaging process to clamp the hose into the metal fittings. Usually, the hose behavior is affected by the resultant of the longitudinal and circumferential forces produced by the internal pressure. The rebar layers can appear the most ideal rebar effect when they are arranged to the same direction as the resultant force. The braid angle applied in the rebar layers is an important factor in determining ultimate burst pressure and overall hose life. Failure can occur on the contacted parts of a hose with the metal fittings under severe operating conditions such as high pressure and temperature of the inner fluid. In this paper, the mechanical behavior between the hose and the metal fittings during the swaging process and the stress variation characteristics of a high-pressure hose under a constant applied pressure are analyzed with respect to the braid angle of steel wire using the finite element method.

  • High pressure hose having tuning cables, called 'Resonator hose' is frequently used to attenuate pressure ripple generated by the pump for reducing the vehicle interior noise. A number of studies have been conducted on the resonator hose and its analytical models. However, there are few studies which deal with the influence of resonator hose on vehicle interior noise because the most of studies focused on transmission loss of the resonator hose. This paper presents NVH test results of power steering system and frequency analysis results. In the frequency analysis, both the relations between vibration, pressure ripple and vehicle interior noise and also the design parameters of high pressure hose influencing on vehicle interior noise were discussed. The test was done for various high pressure hose specimens in full turn condition.

  • The objective of this paper is to numerically examine the mechanical behavior of the swaged power steering(PS) hose subject to internal pressure. PS hose experiences a large internal pressure change in operating, so it's material part has to resist a cyclic expansion and compression without causing oil leakage. This cyclic pressure is intimately associated with fatigue failure of PS hose. In this study, we compare two types of PS hose. The numerical investigation is composed of three steps; swaging analysis, low and high pressure analyses. The comparative numerical results provide the basic data for the optimal PS design.

  • Power steering hose is device that operation oil passes between steering gear box and oil pump by parts that is used to do steering system. Because this hose is receiving heat and pressure of high temperature, leakage can produce swaging from hitch of steel materials of done part. In this paper, we analyze swaging process of Power steering hose by finite element analysis, and achieved thermal and pressure analysis with this shape. We can analogize weakness part of hose through this result, and examine closely oil leakage and rubber failure mechanism and look for important design benevolence of power steering hose development.

염소 누출 사고사례연구를 통한 Flexible hose 설계 및 관리 방안 고찰 (Consideration on Design and Management of Flexible Hose through the Case Study of Chlorine Leak)

  • 2018년 울산에서 Flexible hose의 파단으로 발생한 염소 누출사고를 분석하여 국내 설계 및 관리 기준을 제시하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 누출 사고가 발생한데는 다양한 원인이 있지만, 본 논문에서는 직접적 원인인 Flexible hose의 파단을 분석하는데 초점을 맞추었다. 분석 결과, 사고가 발생한 사업장에서 염소 이송에 사용하는 Flexible hose 는 재질 및 사용 두께 측면에서 부적절 했고, 사용 전 압력 테스트도 운전압력 이하에서 하는 등 문제가 있었다. 설문조사를 통하여 염소를 취급하는 울산지역의 다섯 곳의 사업장을 확인한 결과, 한 곳을 제외하고 염소 이송에 부적절한 Flexible hose를 사용하고 있었다. 현재 염소 이송용 Flexible hose의 설계에 대한 국내 기준이 없어 사용하는 Flexible hose의 적정성을 검토하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 국내에 적용할 수 있는 염소 이송용 Flexible hose의 설계 기준을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 기준을 설계 및 검토에 적용한다면 염소 이송 시 발생할 수 있는 Flexible hose 파단의 위험성을 경감시키는데 기여할 것이다.

호스릴옥내소화전 호스에 대한 압력손실에 관한 연구 (Study on the Pressure Loss of Hoses in a Fire Hose Reel Hydrant)

  • 본 연구에서는 호스릴옥내소화전의 압력손실 실험을 실시한 후 각 요소의 압력 손실에 미치는 영향을 비교 분석하였다. 첫째, 호스릴옥내소화전의 호스릴 길이에 따른 압력손실 실험에서, 호스릴의 길이가 길어짐에 따라 압력 손실이 증가하였으며, 이는 25 m 호스를 기준으로 일반 옥내소화전 호스에 비하여 38.86% 만큼 압력손실이 증가하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 단위 길이 당 호스릴의 압력손실은 $.13{\sim}.15kgf/cm^2$으로 측정되었다. 셋째, 유량의 변화에 따른 압력손실 실험에서는 일반 배관 유동에서의 유량-압력손실 관계(${\Delta}P{\sim}Q^2$)와 유사한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이 연구 결과는 호스릴옥내소화전이 사용되는 건축물에 펌프의 양정계산, 호스릴옥내소화전의 성능위주소방설계에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • LP가스나 도시가스시설의 저압 호스 체결에서 견고함과 기밀성을 높이기 위해 호스밴드를 사용한다. 본 연구에서는 호스밴드의 성능 파악과 안전한 체결 거리의 제시를 위하여 호스밴드에 대한 내압강도와 당김력을 측정하였다. 호스밴드의 체결력은 스프링밴드 보다는 귀형밴드에서 높게 나타났으며 최적의 호스밴드 체결거리는 호스접속 끝단부로부터 1${\~}$2 mm일 때에 우수한 것으로 파악되었다.

  • A concrete docking hose of pump car's boom pipe line have been used in many construction sites. They are long structures with continuous cornering, similar to a trunk of the elephant, characterized by a very high pressure resistance of 20MPa. They need flexible materials and structure in order to move the hose smoothy. But commercial concrete hose is hard to handle and heavy owing to adaption of steel reinforcement. In this study, it is tried an experimental approach to the characteristic of inner rubber layer and abrasion resistance. Also, we are investigated the bursting pressure according to the reinforcement of the hose and propose the usefulness of the hose reinforced with high strengthened aramid fiber.
