There are many application areas of sensor networks, such as surveillance, hospital monitoring, and home network. These are dependent on the secure operation of networks, and will have serious outcome if the networks is injured. An adversary can inject false data into the network through the compromising node. Ye et al. proposed a statistical en-route filtering scheme (SEF) to detect such false data during forwarding process. In this scheme, it is important that the choice of the threshold value since it trades off security and overhead. This paper presents an adaptive threshold value determining method in the SEF using fuzzy logic. The fuzzy logic determines a security distance value by considering the situation of the network. The Sensor network is divided into several areas by the security distance value, it can each area to uses the different threshold value. The fuzzy based threshold value can reduce the energy consumption in transmitting.

이 논문에서는 현재 모바일 단말기 중 국내에 가장 많이 보급되어 있는 휴대폰을 이용하여 가정 내에 위치하고 있는 여러 가전 기기를 원격에서 또는 가정 내에서 안전하게 모니터링하고 제어할 수 있는 원격 제어 홈 게이트웨이 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 제안한 시스템은 디지털 가전기기 및 디바이스들과의 Zigbee 통신을 지원하며 Linux 환경의 셋톱박스 내의 흠 서버는 네트워크를 통해 외부 휴대폰과 통신하여 원격지에서 가정내의 디바이스들의 상황 정보를 확인하고 상태를 변경할 수 있도록 설계함으로써 홈 오토메이션 홈 네트워크, 스마트오피스 등의 실내 환경 및 다양한 유비쿼터스 환경에서 홈 네트워크 미들웨어로 적용될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

A home network is a typical ubiquitous computing network that consists of various consumer devices and service environments. Home networks are requiring increasingly more complicated services, such as multimedia home theater and the monitoring and controlling of heterogeneous devices. Accordingly, a mutually connecting mechanism is needed among heterogeneous devices and services redundant. The current paper presents a Multimedia Room Bridge Adapter (MRBA) system that is designed to manage heterogeneous devices and support various services. In addition, a hardware and software prototype is implemented based on the proposed architecture.

In mobile ad hoc networks, an application scenario requires mostly collaborative mobility behavior. The key problem of those applications is scalability with regard to the number of multicast members as well as the number of the multicast group. To enhance scalability with group mobility, we have proposed a multicast protocol based on a new framework for hierarchical multicasting that is suitable for the group mobility model in MANET. The key design goal of this protocol is to solve the problem of reflecting the node's mobility in the overlay multicast tree, the efficient data delivery within the sub-group with group mobility support, and the scalability problem for the large multicast group size. The results obtained through simulations show that our approach supports scalability and efficient data transmission utilizing the characteristic of group mobility.

본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.16e 네트워크에서 통신 사업자간 로밍을 위한 새로운 인증 및 키 설정(AKE: Authentication and Key Establishment) 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안된 프로토콜은 두 개의 다른 인증 credentials를 사용하여 사용자(user) 및 단말(device) 인증을 함께 수행하며 사용자 익명성과 키 설정을 제공한다. 또한, 제안된 프로토콜에서 홈 네트워크(Home Network: HN)와 외부 네트워크(Foreign Network: FN) 사이의 메시지 교화 횟수는 단지 2 라운드(round) 수가 필요하다.

본 논문에서는 UWB 기술 기반 WiMedia Distributed Medium Access Control (D-MAC) 표준 프로토콜에 적용할 수 있는 협력 통신 프로토콜을 제안한다. 이를 위해 무선 채널 상태에 따라 변화하는 UWB 링크 전송 속도에 적응적인 릴레이 노드 선정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 UWB 링크에 적응적인 릴레이 통신 프로토콜은 분산적인 D-MAC 표준 기술 및 무선 USB 기술과 호환성을 갖고, 각 디바이스에서 독립적으로 실행되는 Relay Node Selection (RNS) 기준에 따라 실행된다.

In this letter, we propose a frame-size adaptive MAC protocol for high rate wireless personal area networks (WPANs). In the proposed scheme, during communication, frame error rate is periodically reported to a transmitting device and the frame size is changed according to the measured results. Thus, the channel can be more effectively utilized by adapting to variable radio conditions. Analytical results show that this scheme achieves a much higher throughput than a non-frame-size adaptive media access control protocol in high-rate WPANs.

최근 FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) 구현을 위한 수동형 광 가입자망 (PON, Passive Optical Network)에 대한 연구가 매우 활발하게 진행되고 있다. PON 구성에 있어, 버스트-모드 광송수신기는 핵심이 되는 모듈이다. 본 논문에서는 상용화된 칩을 이용하여 155.52Mps급 버스트 모드 광송수신기 모듈 시제품을 제작하고 성능을 측정한다. 또한, 버스트-모드 광 클록 재생의 새로운 방법을 제안하고, CPLD(Complex Programmable Logic Device)를 이용하여 구현 한 다음, 제작된 모듈 시제품에 연동하여 성능을 비교하였다.

This study aimed to explore the social networks which married immigrant women have in Korea. Special attention was paid to factors such as individual, family, and migrant characteristics contributing to the different patterns of social networks. I drew upon the nationally representative data on 60,719 immigrant women married to Korean men from the '2009 Survey on Korean National Survey on Multicultural Families.' Results showed that the foreign wives tended to maintain a connection with our society through contact with their neighbors and participation in social gatherings. Findings also showed that the types of social networks by the number of trusted neighbors and meetings were diverse among the immigrant women. In addition, the factors differentiating the types were mostly associated with socioeconomic resources or Korean proficiency. More interestingly, the immigrant women's contacts with their family members in their homeland contributed to their maintenance of more active social networks. These results provided a useful outlook on the relationship between patterns of social networks and the characteristics of the married immigrant women, which eventually showed a heterogeneous nature among them. At the societal level, supportive systems for enriching immigrant women's social networks should be developed particularly in terms of not their dependency, but their potential contributions to our society.

This study aimed to investigate the influence of consumers' innovativeness, perceived benefits of home shopping mobile apps, and satisfaction with telephone orders on switching to and satisfaction with such apps (for those who have used these apps). This study also investigated the influence of the aforementioned factors on the intention to switch to home shopping mobile apps (for those who have not used these apps). Data were collected from 546 customers ranging in age from 18 to 59 with experience purchasing fashion goods from home shopping networks, and 502 of the questionnaires were used in the statistical analyses. Structure equation models were employed using AMOS 23.0. The results were as follows: for consumers experienced with home shopping mobile apps, their innovativeness and perceived benefits of such apps (convenience, usefulness) influenced their switching behavior. Additionally, consumers' innovativeness and perceived benefits of these apps (usefulness, accessibility, interactiveness) affected their satisfaction with the apps. For those not experienced with home shopping mobile apps, consumers' innovativeness and perceived benefits of the apps (interactiveness, security, enjoyment) influenced their intention to switch to these apps. These results indicate that different strategies should be developed for home shopping consumers experienced and inexperienced with these apps for the improvement of app satisfaction.
