The characteristics of Efficiency through HIT layer thickness (HIT 층 두께 변화를 통한 태양전지 효율 특성)

  • Simulation Program (AFORS-HET 2.4.1) was used, include the basic structure of crystalline silicon thin film as above, under the intrinsic a-Si:H films bonded symmetrical structure (Symmetrical structure) were used. The structure of ITO, a-Si p-type, intrinsic a-Si, c-Si, intrinsic a-Si, a-Si n-type, metal (Al) layer has one of the seven. When thickness for each layer was given the change, the changes of a-Si p-type layer and the intrinsic a-Si layer on top had an impact on efficiency. Efficiency ratio of p-type a-Si:H layer thickness was sensitive to, especially a-Si: H layer thickness is increased in a rapid decrease in Jsc and FF, and efficiency was also decreased.

A Bankruptcy Game for Optimize Caching Resource Allocation in Small Cell Networks

  • In this paper, we study the distributed cooperative caching for Internet content providers in a small cell of heterogeneous network (HetNet). A general framework based on bankruptcy game model is put forth for finding the optimal caching policy. In this framework, the small cell and different content providers are modeled as bankrupt company and players, respectively. By introducing strategic decisions into the bankruptcy game, we propose a caching value assessment algorithm based on analytic hierarchy process in the framework of bankruptcy game theory to optimize the caching strategy and increase cache hit ratio. Our analysis shows that resource utilization can be improved through cooperative sharing while considering content providers' satisfaction. When the cache value is measured by multiple factors, not just popularity, the cache hit rate for user access is also increased. Simulation results show that our approach can improve the cache hit rate while ensuring the fairness of the distribution.

  • This paper described analysis of acoustic emission parameter for the damage evaluation of type II vehicle fuel tank during fracture test. The observation of Kaiser effect, Felicity effect and creep effect is the means of damage evaluation method. It is possible to evaluate tank damage by the ratio of hit of over 60 dB and total hit. Damage mechanism of pressure tank can be estimated by analysis of average rise time, average amplitude.

  • Homogeneous and isotropic turbulence (HIT) with no mean flow is a very useful type of flow for basic turbulence research. However, it is difficult to generate HIT in the lab. In this study, we implemented HIT in a confined box through synthetic jet actuators using sub-woofer speakers. Characteristics of HIT are varied depending on the strength of the jets. We used 2D PIV to measure the velocity field. Turbulence statistics such as homogeneity, isotropy ratio, turbulence kinetic energy, dissipation rate, Taylor microscale, Kolmogorov scale, and velocity correlation coefficient were calculated. Most of the turbulence statistics increased exponentially according to the strength of the jets, and the Taylor Reynolds number reached up to 185.

Structure Design of Artificial Neural Networks using Genetic Algorithm (유전적 알고리즘을 이용한 인공신경망의 구조 설계)

  • Artificial Neural Networks(ANN) have been successfully applied to various kinds of business and engineering problems, especially those involved in pattern classification. However, because of the lack of design standard or guidelines, the structure of specific ANN depends on the designer's own experiments or choices. In other words, even though we could construct a better ANN, we often steeled down with just a satisfactory ANN. The purpose of this research is to apply the Genetic Algorithm(GA) to design a structure of ANN that yields better performance compared to the existing test results. For a bankruptcy prediction problem. an exiting research using ANN which consists of 22 input processing elements(PEs) for financial ratios and 5 hidden PEs showed 70% hit ratio. In our research, the input financial ratios and the number of hidden PEs are determined by GA. The best ANN, which consists of 8 input PEs and 6 hidden PEs, shows 78.03% hit ratio. In addition, we compare the performance of two types of reproduction schemes, i.e., generational reproduction and steady-state reproduction.

  • This study shows the design and implementation of cataloging expert system using pattern recognition techniques. This system attemps to demonstrate the feasibility of cataloging in KORMARC format from title page and copyright page without the intervention of humans. The prototype was implemented as a rule-based system in Turbo C. To demonstrate the function and capability of the system, experimental document-group and control document-group was analyzed. The hit ratio of experimental document-group is 94%. On the other hand, the hit ratio of control document-group is 93%, a little bit lower than the experimental group.

Improving Performance of Internet by Using Hierarchical Proxy Cache (계층적 프록시 캐쉬를 이용한 인터넷 성능 향상 기법)

  • Recently, as construction of information infra including high-speed communication networks remarkably expands, more various information services have been provided. Thus the number of internet users rapidly increases, and it results in heavy load on Web server and higher traffics on networks. The phenomena cause longer response time that means worse quality of service. To solve such problems, much effort has been attempted to loosen bottleneck on Web server, reduce traffic on networks and shorten response times by caching informations being accessed more frequently at the proxy server that is located near to clients. And it is also possible to improve internet performance further by allowing clients to share informations stored in proxy caches. In this paper, we perform simulations of hierarchical proxy caches with the 3-level 4-ary tree structure by using real web traces, and analyze cache hit ratio for various cache replacement policies and cache sizes when the delayed-store scheme is applied. According to simulation results, the delayed-store scheme increases the remote cache hit ratio, that improves quality of service by shortening the service response time.

  • 최근 인터넷 기반 서비스 환경의 질적개선과 이에 따른 이용자 증가에 따라. 오디오나 동영상과 같은 규모가 크고 동적 특성을 가진 웹 컨텐츠의 수가 증가하는 추세이다. 이에 따라 'hit ratio' 뿐만 아니라 오브젝트의 크기를 기반으로 하는 'byte hit ratio' 또한 캐시 성능을 평가하는 중요한 측정 요소가 되었다. 이러한 측정기준을 대상으로 할 때, 기존의 웹 캐시 교체 정책중 HP연구소의 GDSF (Greedy-Dual-Size with Frequency)알고리즘과 LFU-DA(LFU with Dynamic Aging)알고리즘이 우수한 성능을 보이는 것으로 알려져있는데, 이러한 기존의 웹 캐시 교체 정책은 서버와의 네트워크 상태를 고려하지 않은 정책이고, 이에 따라 네트워크 상태에 따른 전송비용의 차이를 반영하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 서버와 웹 캐시 간의 네트워크 상태를 반영할 수 있는 캐시 교체 정책을 제안하고, 이에 대한 실험을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 사용자의 요구에 대한 응답시간의 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Adaptive Migration Path Technique of Mobile Agent Using the Metadata of Naming Agent (네이밍 에이전트의 메타데이터를 이용한 이동 에이전트의 적응적 이주 경로 기법)

  • The mobile agent executes a given task by which the agent code moves to the server directly. Therefore, node migration method becomes an important factor which impact on the whole performance of distributed system. In this paper, we propose an adaptive migration path technique of mobile agent using the metadata of naming agent. In this proposed technique, node selection for migration depends on the content of referenced metadata, and the reliability of migrated information is determined by the metadata updating method and cooperative operations of individual agents in multi-agents system. For these, we design the metadata using by the number of hit documents, hit ratio, node processing time and network delay time, and describe the methods for creating, using and updating metadata for which determine the adaptive node migration path of mobile agent according to the cooperation of individual agents and number of hit documents using by designed metadata. And results of evaluated performance for proposed adaptive migration path technique through the proper experiment and analysis gain rate of high effective information earning, because of high hit ratio(72%) about of fathered documents by case of applying metadata move to the 13 nodes. But, in case of non-applying metadata is hit ratio(46%) of gathered documents and rate of effective information earning about of 26 nodes is 36.8%.

The Effects of Cache Memory on the System Bus Traffic (캐쉬 메모리가 버스 트래픽에 끼치는 영향)

  • It is common sense for at least one or more levels of cache memory to be used in these day's computer systems. In this paper, the impact of the internal cache memory organization on the performance of the computer is investigated by using a simulator program, which is wirtten by authors and run on SUN SPARC workstation, with several real execution, with several real execution trace files. 280 cache organizations have been simulated using n-way set associative mapping and LRU(Least Recently Used) replacement algorithm with write allocation policy. As a result, 16-way setassociative cache is the best configuration, and when we select 256KB cache memory and 64 byte line size, the bus traffic ratio was decreased compared to that of the noncache system so that a single bus could support almost 7 processors without any delay and degradationof high ratio(hit ratio was 99.21%). The smaller the line size we choose, the little lower hit ratio we can get, but the more processors can be supported by a single bus(maximum 18 processors). Therefore, using a proper cache memory organization can make a single bus structure be able to support multiple processors without any performance degradation.
