ON THE BEREZIN TRANSFORM ON $D^n$

  • We show that if $f \in L^{\infty}(D^n)$ satisfies Sf = rf for some r in the unit circle, where S is any convex combination of the iterations of Berezin operator, then f is n-harmonic. And we give some remarks and a conjecture on the space $M_2={f \in L^2(D^2, m \times m)\midBf = f$.

  • In this paper, we establish the boundedness and continuity for variation operators for θ-type Calderón-Zygmund singular integrals and their commutators on the Triebel-Lizorkin spaces. As applications, we obtain the corresponding results for the Hilbert transform, the Hermit Riesz transform, Riesz transforms and rough singular integrals as well as their commutators.

BPSK 변조 기반의 OFDM-Single Side Band 시스템의 스펙트럼 분석 및 성능 평가 (Spectrum Analysis and Performance Evaluation of OFDM-Single-Side Band Systems Based on BPSK Modulation)

  • 본 논문에서는 BPSK변조를 사용하는 OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)기반의 시스템에서 2 branch로 나눈 후에 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform)를 사용하고 DHT(Discrete Hilbert Transform)와 복소수를 이용하여 스펙트럼을 변화시켜 SSB(Singe Side Band) 전송과 같은 효과를 내는 시스템 모델을 제시하고 성능을 평가한다. 또한 제안하는 시스템은 한 정보신호를 SSB전송과 같이 절반의 스펙트럼으로 송신을 할 뿐만 아니라 전체의 스펙트럼을 양측파대라 할 때 양측파대 중 한쪽의 단측파대를 통해 BPSK 변조된 하나의 정보신호를 다른쪽의 단측파대를 통해 다른 BPSK 변조된 정보신호를 동시에 송신하고 수신기에는 하나의 OFDM시스템의 신호처럼 들어온 신호에서 양측파대 각각에서 정보신호를 구분 복조 한다. 또한 각각의 복조된 BPSK 신호는 이론적인 BPSK신호와 거의 유사한 BER 성능을 보인다. 즉 제안하는 시스템 모델은 하나의 BPSK신호를 절반의 스펙트럼만을 사용하여 송신하거나 혹은 두 BPSK신호를 동시에 송신 할 수 있다.

Alternating Sunspot Area and Hilbert Transform Analysis

  • We investigate the sunspot area data spanning from solar cycles 1 (March 1755) to 23 (December 2010) in time domain. For this purpose, we employ the Hilbert transform analysis method, which is used in the field of information theory. One of the most important advantages of this method is that it enables the simultaneous study of associations between the amplitude and the phase in various timescales. In this pilot study, we adopt the alternating sunspot area as a function of time, known as Bracewell transformation. We first calculate the instantaneous amplitude and the instantaneous phase. As a result, we confirm a ~22-year periodic behavior in the instantaneous amplitude. We also find that a behavior of the instantaneous amplitude with longer periodicities than the ~22-year periodicity can also be seen, though it is not as straightforward as the obvious ~22-year periodic behavior revealed by the method currently proposed. In addition to these, we note that the phase difference apparently correlates with the instantaneous amplitude. On the other hand, however, we cannot see any obvious association of the instantaneous frequency and the instantaneous amplitude. We conclude by briefly discussing the current status of development of an algorithm for the solar activity forecast based on the method presented, as this work is a part of that larger project.

전류신호의 유사도 평가와 통계적 상관관계를 이용한 유도전동기의 온라인 고장진단 (On-1ine faults diagnosis of induction motor using similarity measure and statistical correlation)

  • 산업화와 더불어 자동화의 요구에 따라 여러 분야에서 유도전동기의 응용 사례가 늘어나고 있다. 본 연구는 인버터단의 전류센서에서 실시간 얻어진 전류신호로 부터 대표적인 전기, 기계적인 4가지 고장(Bearing Fault, Broken Rotor bar, Misalignment, Unbalance)을 검출하여 예기치 못한 고장에 대비할 수 있는 실시간 진단 알고리듬을 제시한다. 실시간 진단의 핵심요소인 동기화 방법으로서 Hilbert Transform을 응용하였다. 총 40세트의 정상 모터 데이터를 임의로 선택하여 두 데이터의 차를 이용하여 0에 근사한 정상 모터 뎀플릿 값을 설정하였다. 이를 이용하여 진단 대상 전동기의 고장 유무를 미리 판단하게 된다. 만약 기준치 이상의 오차가 나타나게 되면, 이와 비교하기 위한 미리 수집된 각4가지 고장 전동기의 미소신호 템플릿 데이터와의 유사성을 비교하여 고장의 종류를 표시하며, 고장의 종류가 진단되지 않은 대상은 고장 유무만 표시된다.

Monitoring of wind turbine blades for flutter instability

  • Classical flutter of wind turbine blades indicates a type of aeroelastic instability with fully attached boundary layer where a torsional blade mode couples to a flapwise bending mode, resulting in a mutual rapid growth of the amplitudes. In this paper the monitoring problem of onset of flutter is investigated from a detection point of view. The criterion is stated in terms of the exceeding of a defined envelope process of a specific maximum torsional vibration threshold. At a certain instant of time, a limited part of the previously measured torsional vibration signal at the tip of blade is decomposed through the Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) method, and the 1st Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) is assumed to represent the response in the flutter mode. Next, an envelope time series of the indicated modal response is obtained in terms of a Hilbert transform. Finally, a flutter onset criterion is proposed, based on the indicated envelope process. The proposed online flutter monitoring method provided a practical and direct way to detect onset of flutter during operation. The algorithm has been illustrated by a 907-DOFs aeroelastic model for wind turbines, where the tower and the drive train is modelled by 7 DOFs, and each blade by means of 50 3-D Bernoulli-Euler beam elements.

The impact of artificial discrete simulation of wind field on vehicle running performance

  • To investigate the effects of "sudden change" of wind fluctuations on vehicle running performance, which is caused by the artificial discrete simulation of wind field, a three-dimensional vehicle model is set up with multi-body dynamics theory and the vehicle dynamic responses in crosswind conditions are obtained in time domain. Based on Hilbert Huang Transform, the effects of simulation separations on time-frequency characteristics of wind field are discussed. In addition, the probability density distribution of "sudden change" of wind fluctuations is displayed, addressing the effects of simulation separation, mean wind speed and vehicle speed on the "sudden change" of wind fluctuations. The "sudden change" of vehicle dynamic responses, which is due to the discontinuity of wind fluctuations on moving vehicle, is also analyzed. With Principal Component Analysis, the comprehensive evaluation of vehicle running performance in crosswind conditions at different simulation separations of wind field is investigated. The results demonstrate that the artificial discrete simulation of wind field often causes "sudden change" in the wind fluctuations and the corresponding vehicle dynamic responses are noticeably affected. It provides a theoretical foundation for the choice of a suitable simulation separation of wind field in engineering application.
