A mis-handling of the ship operators show high rate among the whole marine accidents. Since the port conditions have been getting worse. also as her size and speed increase, collision risk has been increased so that ship needs the automatic control system for collision. From that purpose, this research has been proceeded. The research has based on the MMG mathematical model, used Surge-Sway-Yaw motion equation, the information from the position and estimated time of collision point (DCPA and TCPA) to determine the collision risk with Fuzzy theory. To verify this system, ship was simulated when the ship encountered multitude of ships around the coast. The simulation result shows good application in avoiding ship collisions around the coast.

As the production of small quadcopter drones has diversified and multi-sensors have been installed in FC due to the spread of MCU capable of high-speed processing, small drones that can perform special-purpose operations rather than simple operations have been realized. Hovering, attitude control, and position movement control were possible through the IMU in the FC mounted on the drone, but control is not easy when GPS connection and video communication are not possible in a closed building with a complex structure. In this study, when encountering an obstacle with a change in altitude in such a space, we proposed a method to overcome the obstacle and perform autonomous flight using optical flow and IR sensors using the Lucas-Kanade method. Through experiments, the drone's altitude flight on stairs that replace the complex structure of a closed space with stable hovering motion has a success rate of 98% within the tolerance of 10 [cm] due to external influences, and reliable autonomous flight up and down is achieved.

The electromechanical energy conversion conditioning and processing implementation in USM direct motion control system is generally divided into two power stages: the two-phase high-frequency ac power inversion stage for driving piezoelectric ceramic PZT transducer array off the USM stator and the mechanical thrust power conversion stage based on the frictional force between the piezo electric stator array and the rotary slider of the USM. However, the dynamic and steady-state mathematical modeling of the USM is extremely default from a theoretical point of view because it contains many complicated an nonlinear characteristics dependant on operation temperature. In +2$0^{\circ}C$~3$0^{\circ}C$, the operating characteristics of the USM has represented normal condition. But the other temperature, it has abnormal condition so that driving frequency, current and motor speed will be down. The recent USM has controller without temperature compensation. This study represents the fuzzy controller for speed compensation according to operating temperature by driving frequency.
Korea has achieved significant economic growth with building the Gyeongbu Expressway. As the number of new road construction projects has decreased, it becomes more important to maintain optimal status of the current road networks. One of the best ways to accomplish it is weight enforcement as active control measure of traffic load. This study is to develop High-speed Weigh-in-motion System in order to enhance efficiency of weight enforcement, and to analyze patterns of overloaded trucks on highways through the system. Furthermore, it is to review possibilities of developing overweight control system with application of the HS-WIM system. The HS-WIM system developed by this study consists of two sets of an axle load sensor, a loop sensor and a wandering sensor on each lane. A wandering sensor detects whether a travelling vehicle is off the lane or not with the function of checking the location of tire imprint. The sensor of the WIM system has better function of classifying types of vehicles than other existing systems by detecting wheel distance and tire type such as single or dual tire. As a result, its measurement errors regarding 12 types of vehicle classification are very low, which is an advantage of the sensor. The verification tests of the system under all conditions showed that the mean measurement errors of axle weight and gross axle weight were within 15 percent and 7 percent respectively. According to the WIM rate standard of the COST-323, the WIM system of this study is ranked at B(10). It means the system is appropriate for the purpose of design, maintenance and valuation of road infrastructure. The WIM system in testing a 5-axle cargo truck, the most frequently overloaded vehicle among 12 types of vehicles, is ranked at A(5) which means the system is available to control overloaded vehicles. In this case, the measurement errors of axle load and gross axle load were within 8 percent and 5 percent respectively. Weight analysis of all types of vehicles on highways showed that the most frequently overloaded vehicles were type 5, 6, 7 and 12 among 12 vehicle types. As a result, it is necessary to use more effective overweight enforcement system for vehicles which are seriously overloaded due to their lift axles. Traffic volume data depending upon vehicle types is basic information for road design and construction, maintenance, analysis of traffic flow, road policies as well as research.
Background: Radiation portal monitors (RPMs) involving plastic scintillators installed at the border inspection sites can detect illicit trafficking of radioactive sources in cargo containers within seconds. However, RPMs may generate false alarms because of the naturally occurring radioactive materials. To manage these false alarms, we previously suggested an energy-weighted algorithm that emphasizes the Compton-edge area as an outstanding peak. This study intends to evaluate the identification of radioactive sources using an improved energy-weighted algorithm. Materials and Methods: The algorithm was modified by increasing the energy weighting factor, and different peak combinations of the energy-weighted spectra were tested for source identification. A commercialized RPM system was used to measure the energy-weighted spectra. The RPM comprised two large plastic scintillators with dimensions of 174 × 29 × 7 ㎤ facing each other at a distance of 4.6 m. In addition, the in-house-fabricated signal processing boards were connected to collect the signal converted into a spectrum. Further, the spectra from eight radioactive sources, including special nuclear materials (SNMs), which were set in motion using a linear motion system (LMS) and a cargo truck, were estimated to identify the source identification rate. Results and Discussion: Each energy-weighted spectrum exhibited a specific peak location, although high statistical fluctuation errors could be observed in the spectrum with the increasing source speed. In particular, 137Cs and 60Co in motion were identified completely (100%) at speeds of 5 and 10 km/hr. Further, SNMs, which trigger the RPM alarm, were identified approximately 80% of the time at both the aforementioned speeds. Conclusion: Using the modified energy-weighted algorithm, several characteristics of the energy weighted spectra could be observed when the used sources were in motion and when the geometric efficiency was low. In particular, the discrimination between 60Co and 40K, which triggers false alarms at the primary inspection sites, can be improved using the proposed algorithm.

Recently, gusts, typhoon and tsunamis have been occurring more frequently around the world. In such an emergency situation, a moored vessel can be used to predict and analyze other vessel behavior, but if the mooring system is destroyed, marine casualties can occur. Therefore, it is necessary to determine quantitatively whether a vessel should be kept in the harbour or evacuate. In this study, moored ship safety in an exclusive wharf according to swell effects on motion and mooring load have been investigated using numerical simulations. The maximum tension exerted on mooring lines exceeded the Safety Working Load for intervals 12 and 15 seconds. The maximum bollard force also exceeded 35 tons (allowable force) in all evaluation cases. The surge motion criteria result for safe working conditions exceeded 3 meters more than the wave period 12 seconds with a wind speed of 25 knots. As a result, a risk rating matrix (risk category- very high risk, high risk and moderate risk) was developed with reference to major external forces such as wind force, wave height and wave periods to provide criteria for determining the control of capabilities of mooring systems to prevent accidents.
Purpose: In order to maximize the stability and productivity of the work through simulation prior to high-risk facilities and high-cost work such as dismantling the facilities inside the reactor, we intend to use digital twin technology that can be closely controlled by simulating the specifications of the actual control equipment. Motion control errors, which can be caused by the time gap between precision control equipment and simulation in applying digital twin technology, can cause hazards such as collisions between hazardous facilities and control equipment. In order to eliminate and control these situations, prior research is needed. Method: Unity 3D is currently the most popular engine used to develop simulations. However, there are control errors that can be caused by time correction within Unity 3D engines. The error is expected in many environments and may vary depending on the development environment, such as system specifications. To demonstrate this, we develop crash simulations using Unity 3D engines, which conduct collision experiments under various conditions, organize and analyze the resulting results, and derive tolerances for precision control equipment based on them. Result: In experiments with collision experiment simulation, the time correction in 1/1000 seconds of an engine internal function call results in a unit-hour distance error in the movement control of the collision objects and the distance error is proportional to the velocity of the collision. Conclusion: Remote decomposition simulators using digital twin technology are considered to require limitations of the speed of movement according to the required precision of the precision control devices in the hardware and software environment and manual control. In addition, the size of modeling data such as system development environment, hardware specifications and simulations imitated control equipment and facilities must also be taken into account, available and acceptable errors of operational control equipment and the speed required of work.

The wear on engine valve and seat insert is one of the most important factors affecting engine performance. The engine valve and seat insert must be able to withstand the severe environment that is created by: high temperature exhaust gases generated while the engine is running, rapid movement of the valve spring, high pressure generated in the explosive process. In order to study such problems, a simulator has been developed to generate and control high temperatures and various speeds during motion. The wear simulator is considered to be a valid simulation of the engine valve and seat insert wear process with various speeds during engine activity. This work focused on the test of various degrees of wear on four different exhaust valve materials such as HRV40, HRV40-FNV (face nitrided valve), STL #32, STL #6,. Throughout all tests performed in this study, the outer surface temperature of the seat insert was controlled at $350^{\circ}C$, the cycle number was $4.0{\times}10^6$, the test load was 6860 N, the fuel was LPG the test speed was 20 Hz (2400 RPM) and the seat insert material was HVS1-2. The mean (standard deviation) maximum roughness of the exhaust valve and seat insert was $25.44\;(3.16)\;{\mu}m$ and $27.53\;(3.60)\;{\mu}m$ at the HRV40, $21.58\;(2.38)\;{\mu}m$ and $25.94\;(3.07)\;{\mu}m$ at the HRV40-FNV, $36.73\;(8.98)\;{\mu}m$ and $61.38\;(7.84)\;{\mu}m$ at the STL #32, $73.64\;(23.80)\;{\mu}m$ and $60.80\;(13.49)\;{\mu}m$ at the STL #6, respectively. It was discovered that the maximum roughness of exhaust valve was lower as the high temperature hardness of the valve material was higher under the same test conditions such as temperature, test speed, cycle number, test load and seat insert material. The set of the HRV40-FNV exhaust valve and the HVS1-2 seat insert showed the best wear resistance.

In order to experience and compete in car racing in reality, the barrier to entry is very high. It takes a lot of money and time to recruit or participate in a license, expensive vehicle, and stadium where the game can be played. Because of this problem, various equipment is used to create a feeling similar to real racing in their own space through sim racing equipment. Equipment similar to this reality is called sim racing equipment. The sim racing equipment can be divided into three categories. The first is a racing game device that can run virtual racing, the second is a steering wheel, seat, and cradle that are linked to the racing game device, and the third is a racing motion device that allows the body to experience the direction of movement in the racing game. In this thesis, the feeling of real car racing is based on game racing, and how similar reality to real racing is through the steering wheel and cradle equipment, which are equipment that can control game racing, and motion equipment that allows you to experience the direction of game racing. Let's check how the difference between real racing and data value changes through the G-Force direction and speed change values.

A capsule train runs inside a sub-vacuum tube and can reach very high speed due to the low air resistance. A capsule train uses a superconducting electrodynamic suspension (SC-EDS) method for levitation, which allows for a large levitation gap and does not require gap control. However, SC-EDS has inherent characteristics such as the large gap variation and a small damping effect in the levitation force, which can degrade the running stability and ride comfort. To overcome this, a stability improvement device should be designed and applied based on dynamic analysis. In this study, a 1/10 small-scale testbed was developed to replicate the dynamic characteristics of a capsule train and investigate the performance of stability improvement devices. The testbed is composed of a 6-degree-of-freedom Stewart platform for the realization of bogie motion, a secondary suspension with a running stabilization device, and a carbody. Based on the dynamic similarity law proposed by Jaschinski, the small-scale testbed was manufactured, and a bogie motion algorithm was applied with the consideration of guideway irregularity and levitation stiffness. The experimental results from the testbed were compared with simulation results to investigate the performance of the testbed.
