고유전율 절연체를 활용한 저 전압 유연 유기물 박막 트랜지스터 (Low-voltage Organic Thin-film Transistors with Polymeric High-k Gate Insulator on a Flexible Substrates)

  • We demonstrated low-voltage organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) with bilayer insulators, high-k polymer and low temperature crosslinkable polymer, on a flexible plastic substrate. Poly (vinylidene fluoridetrifluoroethylene) (P(VDF-TrFE)) and poly (2-vinylnaphthalene) are used for high-k polymer gate insulator and low temperature crosslinkable polymer insulators, respectively. The mobility of flexible OTFTs is $0.17cm^2/Vs$ at gate voltages -5 V after bending operation.

  • Recently, polymer insulators that are used for high voltage applications have some advantages such as light weight, small size, vandalism resistance, hydrophobicity and easy making process. During outdoor service of polymer insulators, the surface of the insulating material is frequently subjected to moisture and contamination that lead to dry band arcing. Their tracking resistance, erosion resistance, end sealing and shed design are very important because dry band arcing causes degradation of polymer surface. Aging test to estimate life property of polymer insulator is executed through several international standard such as IEC 61109 and CEA tracking wheel test, but is not getting clear conclusion yet. There are two methods in the diagnosis method of polymer insulator such as off-line and on-line. The diagnosis methods in off-line are external condition analysis by the eye, contaminant analysis on surface, surface analysis, pollution withstand voltage test, power frequency flashover voltage test, lightning impulse flashover test, tensile fracture load test and flexural load test. Polymer material is also investigated it's tracking resistance by adding surface active agent in IEC 587. In this paper, the tracking performance of polymer insulator with salt solution which is added surface active agent. The diagnosis of insulator sample has been analyzed by leakage current and visual examination, STRI guide and thermal image camera.

  • A new live-line insulator tester was developed to detect faulty insulators in 154kV power transmission lines. This paper is the second part of the two-part paper and deals with its inspection algorithm development. Unlike normal condition with low pollution and low humidity, the inspection data measured in the field under high pollution or high humidity showed that the voltage distribution of an insulator string has offsets in comparison with those of others and its insulation resistances are greatly decreased, which leads to wrong results of the existing inspection algorithms under such conditions. To solve this problem, we propose new diagnosis algorithms that can exactly detect faulty insulators from measured data regardless of environmental conditions. Its effectiveness was validated by live-line field tests in actual power lines.

  • The paper describes a new technique for the shape design of a bell-type porcelain locke insulator in contaminated environment. Early studies on the contamination performance of insulators indicated the need for an improvable shape to provide adequate insulation strength at normal operating voltages. In this paper, under lightly and heavily contaminated site severity, the variation of voltage distribution to leakage path at insulator surfaces analyzed by the complex admittance matrix using finite element method. By this results, the improvement of shape of insulators could be approached to the available condition in contaminated environments. In applicating to compare a standard disc type with a fog disc type insulator, this design technique is valid.

  • A metal-ferroelectric [SrBi$_2$Ta$_2$O$\_$9/ (SBT)-high-k-insulator(PrOx)-semiconductor(Si) structure has been fabricated and evaluated as a key part of metal-ferroelectric-insulator-semiconductor-field-effect-transistor MFIS-FET memory, aiming to improve the memory retention characteristics by increasing the dielectric constant in the insulator layer and suppressing the depolarization field in the SBT layer. A 20-nm PrOx film grown on Si(100) showed both a high of about 12 and a low leakage current density of less than 1${\times}$ 10e-8 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 105 MV/cm. A 400-nm SBT film prepared on PrOx/Si shows a preferentially oriented (105) crystalline structure, grain size of about 130 nm and subface roughness of 3.2 nm. A capacitance-voltage hysteresis is confirmed on the Pt/SBT/PrOx/Si diode with a memory window of 0.3V at a sweep voltage width of 12 V. The memory retention time was about 1 104s, comparable to the conventional Pt/SBT/SiO$\_$x/N$\_$y/(SiO$\_$N/)/Si. The gradual change of the capacitance indicates that some memory degradation mechanism is different from that in the Pt/SBT/SiON/Si structure.

  • Recently composite insulators are being used for outdoor high voltage applications. Composite insulators for transmission line have significant advantages over porcelain insulators, especially for ultra-high voltage. Their advantages are light weight, vandalism resistance, and hydrophobicity. We developed a 170kV high reliable vertical break disconnector with good long term electrical and mechanical performance which was achieved by the improvement of electrical performance and light weight. We discuss the outline of the development and the product.

  • Recently polymer insulators are being used for outdoor high voltage applications. Polymer insulators have significant advantages over porcelain and glass insulators. With the gradual improvement of their design and material, their reliability has also increased. It is however difficult to establish how they will perform after several years of service. Aging of the insulator weathershed may lead to damages such as excessive chalking and crazing, erosion and tracking which affect the insulator performance. In service insulator are subjected to aging stresses such as humidity, pollution and electrical field which act singly or in combination. There have been numerous accelerated laboratory tests developed with the intention of evaluating suitability of polymeric materials. Some of these are strictly material tests, where as, others evaluate full scale devices. Service experience plays a key role in the utility selection of polymer insulator, but is time consuming, and may not always be available. Hence there is a need for a meaningful and reliable accelerated aging test for polymer insulator. This paper describes multi-stress aging test for reliability of polymer insulator This paper presents the rule of multi-stress aging test and test chamber for polymer insulator in korea electrotechnology research institute.

  • 65% of the Korean peninsula is composed of mountainous area, 97% of which is composed of forest. Therefore, there is high possibility of mountain fire because a lot of potential inflammables such as fallen leaves are stacked on the ground. Moreover, most of the overhead transmission lines in Korea are operated on the mountain. However, there has been very little study for the effect of mountain fire on polymeric insulator for transmission line, though the study is significantly required Therefore, in this study the authors observed the deformation of the housing of the insulator under fire with respect to the ignition time, using artificial ignition testing equipment, and investigated electrical and mechanical characteristics of the insulator by dry withstand voltage test, impulse flashover test and tensile load test.

  • RF 채널 분포효과를 위한 전압 종속 외부 게이트 커패시턴스가 사용된 High resistivity(HR) silicon-on-insulator(SOI) RF accumulation-mode MOS 버랙터의 대신호 모델이 새롭게 개발되었다. 이 모델의 전압 종속 파라미터들은 정확한 S-파라미터 optimization을 사용하여 추출되었고, 이를 피팅하여 empirical 모델 방정식을 구축하였다. 이러한 새로운 대신호 RF 모델은 넓은 전압영역에서 측정된 Y11-파라미터 데이터와 20 GHz까지 잘 일치함으로써 정확도가 검증되었다.
