스팀분사 세탁시스템의 세탁효율 분석 (Washing Efficiency of Steam Jet Washing Process)

  • The washing characteristics of steam jet heating process have been compared with other washing processes, such as low temperature process(standard process, below $40^{\circ}C$) and high temperature process(boiling process, up to $95^{\circ}C$) with the standard soil fabric, EPMA 105. Steam jet heating process showed almost the same washing efficiency as high maximum temperature process for pig's blood and wine. This result can be explained with the higher surface temperature of washing materials in steam jet process compared with direct boiling process. In terms of the energy and water consumption, the steam jet washing process showed significant savings compared with direct boiling type washing process.

  • Anaerobic fermentation was attempted to produce methane from the wood chip (Eucalyptus globulus). By the pretreatment of the wood chip using hot water with high temperature, NaOH, and steam explosion, the production of methane gas was enhanced. The pretreatment using Steam explosion resulted in more amount of methane gas produced than the treatment using either hot water or 1% (w/w) NaOH with high temperature, and the steam explosion at a steam pressure of 25 atm and a steaming time of 3 min was the most effective for the methane production. The amount of methane gas produced depended on the ratio of weight of Klason lignin, a high molecular weight lignin, in the treated wood chip.

RPF(Refuse plastic fuel) 합성가스의 수성가스 전환 반응 연구 (A Study on the Water Gas Shift Reaction of RPF Syngas)

  • 수성가스 전환 반응은 가스화로 생성된 합성 가스에 수소 생산 증가와 H2/CO 비율 제어를 위해 수증기를 첨가하는 가스화 후속 공정이다. 본 연구에서는 RPF(Refuse plastic fuel) 가스화 시스템의 합성가스를 대상으로 수성가스 전환 반응을 연구하였다. 수성가스 전환 반응은 촉매를 이용하여 high temperature shift(HTS) 와 low temperature shift(LTS) 반응에 대하여 lab scale 관형 반응기를 이용하여 반응 온도, steam/carbon ratio, 유량의 변화가 H2 생성과 CO 전환율에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 운전 온도는 HTS 시스템이 250-400℃, LTS 시스템이 190-220℃이며 steam/carbon ratio는 1.5-3.5로 변화시켰다. 반응 모의 가스의 농도는 RPF 합성가스의 농도를 기준으로 CO, 40vol%, H2, 25vol%, CO2, 25vol%이다. 반응 온도와 steam/carbon ratio가 증가함에 따라 CO 전환율 및 H2 생성량이 증가하고, 유량이 증가하면 촉매층의 체류시간 단축으로 CO 전환율과 H2 생성량이 감소하였다.

스팀-에어 레토르트의 온도분포에 미치는 공정 변수 영향 (The Effect of Various Processing Conditions on Temperature Distribution in Steam-air Retort)

  • 공기 주입식 스팀-에어 레토르트 내에서 스팀온도, 내부가압, CUT 등의 공정변수가 레토르트 내부의 온도 균일성에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 고온살균(121℃)이 저온살균(82℃) 보다 공정구간동안 온도분포가 더 균일하고 안정적이었다. 내부 가압이 클수록 저온살균조건의 공정에서는 온도분포가 안정적이었고, 이와 반대로 고온살균조건의 공정에서 온도분포가 더 불균일한 것으로 나타났다. 승온구간을 조절한 경우에는 레토르트 내의 온도분포에는 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 공정구간동안 레토르트 내부에서 냉점은 수직방향 1층의 위로 확인되었고, 수평방향에서는 맨 뒤쪽 중앙 부분이 가장 높은 온도를 유지하여 공정 동안 이 위치들을 주의를 할 필요가 있었다. 또한 레토르트 내부의 양 옆 위치가 다른 위치에 비해 특히 온도분포가 불안정한 것으로 확인되었으므로 레토르트 가공 공정에서 주의해야 할 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 고에너지 금속 분말은 높은 용융점을 가진 산화피막의 점화방해 효과로 인해 점화가 용이하지 않다. 따라서 점화를 위해서는 단시간에 높은 온도의 열적 공간을 형성할 수 있는 점화원이 필요하며 스팀 플라즈마 점화원은 탄화수소 계열의 점화원, 수소-산소 점화원, 레이져 점화원과 다르게 짧은 시간에 안정적으로 5,000 K 이상의 열적 공간을 형성할 수 있다. 또한 스팀을 작동가스로 사용하므로 친환경적이며 경제적이다. 따라서 본 연구는 스팀 플라즈마 점화기를 연소 시스템에 적용하기 위한 기초 연구로서 방출 분광법을 사용하여 플라즈마의 온도 분포 및 화학종을 분석하였으며, 연소시스템에 적용하여 금속 분말의 점화를 가시적으로 확인하였다.

ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code에 따른 배열회수보일러 기수분리기의 피로 평가 (Fatigue Evaluation of Steam Separators of Heat Recovery Steam Generators According to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code)

  • The present research deals with a finite element analysis and fatigue evaluation of a steam separator of a high-pressure evaporator for the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG). The fatigue during the expected life of the HRSG was evaluated according to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 2 (ASME Code). First, based on the eight transient operating conditions prescribed for the HRSG, temperature distribution of the steam separator was analyzed by a transient thermal analysis. Results of the thermal analysis were used as a thermal load for the structural analysis and used to determine the mean cycle temperature. Next, a structural analysis for the transient conditions was carried out with the thermal load, steam pressure, and nozzle load. The maximum stress location was found to be the riser nozzle bore, and hence fatigue was evaluated at that location, as per ASME Code. As a result, the cumulative usage factor was calculated as 0.00072 (much less than 1). In conclusion, the steam separator was found to be safe from fatigue failure during the expected life.

고온화학세정환경에서 20 % EDTA 용액이 결함 전열관 (Alloy600)에 미치는 영향 (Effect of 20 % EDTA Aqueous Solution on Defective Tubes (Alloy600) in High Temperature Chemical Cleaning Environments)

  • The transport and deposition of corrosion products in pressurized water nuclear reactor (PWR) steam generators have led to corrosion (SCC, denting etc.) problems. Lancing, mechanical cleaning and chemical cleaning have been used to reduce these problems. The methods of lancing and mechanical cleaning have limitations in removing corrosion products due to the structure of steam generator tubes. But high temperature chemical cleaning (HTCC) with EDTA is the most effective method to remove corrosion products regardless of the structure. However, EDTA in chemical cleaning aqueous solution and chemical cleaning environments affects the integrity of materials used in steam generators. The nuclear power plants have to perform the pre-test (also called as qualification test (QT)) that confirms the effect on the integrity of materials after HTCC. This is one of the series studies that assess the effect, and this study determines the effects of 20 % EDTA aqueous solution on defective tubes in high temperature chemical cleaning environments. The depth and magnitude of defects in steam generator (SG) tubes were measured by eddy current test (ECT) signals. Surface analysis and magnitude of defects were performed by using SEM/EDS. Corrosion rate was assessed by weight loss of specimens. The ECT signals (potential and depth %) of defective tubes increased marginally. But the lengths of defects, oxides on the surface and weights of specimens did not change. The average corrosion rate of standard corrosion specimens was negligible. But the surfaces on specimens showed traces of etching. The depth of etching showed a range on the nanometer. After comprehensive evaluation of all the results, it is concluded that 20 % EDTA aqueous solution in high temperature chemical cleaning environments does not have a negative effect on defective tubes.

  • The generation of electric power and plant facilities have been attempting to improve energy efficiency with many efforts as those being basis of our country's economy. In particular, the CHP(Combined Heat Power plant) system, is producing the electricity and process steam, has generally been using for the cogeneration plants. When CHP system operates, the steam has to maintain the high temperature and high pressure in order to have high efficiency of electric power production as much as possible. In addition, the exhausted steam from the turbine has to reform proper temperature to use the needed process. The major purpose of desuperheater is that the superheated steam changes into the saturated steam because it is more efficient and suitable for using the process, furthermore, it is more convenient and stable regarding the process temperature control. The design of the desuperheater obtained through the experiment and preceding analysis. This paper is verified by analysis that water spray nozzle(${\Phi}$=28mm) shows the best ability under the real power plant condition.

  • 본 논문에서는 국제적으로 개발 중인 초고온가스로와 연계하여 대량의 수소를 생산하기 위한 방안의 일환으로 국내에서 개발 중인 고온증기전기분해 시스템에 사용될 열교환기 재료의 고온증기 부식실험에 대해 소개하였다. 이를 위해 관련된 국내외 연구현황을 조사분석한 결과를 요약하여 소개하였으며 마지막으로 현재 수행중인 고온증기부식 연구의 실험조건 및 계획을 제시하였다. 실험 및 연구결과는 초고온가스로와 연계된 고온전기분해를 이용한 수소생산시스템의 개발에 활용될 예정이다.

  • A model for quantifying the effect of steam pressure on the oxide thickness growth was developed based on the experimental data available. First, empirical equations for the thickness estimation of oxide formed in 1 atm steam were made. The oxide growth kinetics turned out to be dependent on 0.4th power of oxidation time. With an assumption that the transition oxide thickness be only a function of temperature, a model for the enhancement of steam pressure on oxide growth was developed. The enhancement coefficient for steam pressure is calculated to be 0.01~0.013 $bar^{-}$. The developed model generally well explains the experimental data.a.
