This paper proposed a new time adapted threshold using the standard deviations of Wavelet coefficients after Wavelet transform by frame scale. The time adapted threshold is set up using the sum of standard deviations of Wavelet coefficient in cA3 and weighted cDl. cA3 coefficients represent the voiced sound with low frequency and cDl coefficients represent the unvoiced sound with high frequency. From simulation results, it is demonstrated that the proposed algorithm improves SNR and MSE performance more than Wavelet transform and Wavelet packet transform does. Moreover, the reconstructed signals by the proposed algorithm resemble the original signal in terms of plosive sound, fricative sound and affricate sound but Wavelet transform and Wavelet packet transform reduce those sounds seriously.

Network coding was proposed to increase the achievable throughput of multicast in a network. Recently, combining network coding into user cooperation has attracted research attention. For cooperative transmission schemes with network coding, users combine their own and their partners messages by network coding. In previous works, it was shown that adaptive DF with network coding can achieve diversity gain and additional throughput gain. In this paper, to improve performance of conventional protocols and maximize advantage of using network coding, we propose a new network coding based user cooperation scheme which uses adaptively amplify-and-forward and decode-and-forward according to interuser channel status. We derive outage probability bound of proposed scheme and prove that it has full diversity order in the high SNR regime. Moreover, based on the outage bound, we compute optimal power allocation for the proposed scheme.

Spectrum sensing is a critical functionality of CR network; it allow secondary user to detect spectral holes and to opportunistically use under-utilized frequency bands without causing harmful interference to primary use. Recently, wideband service has been increase for processing abundance of data traffic. So CR network needs a realizable implementation design of spectrum sensing for wideband. To get high resolution performance of wideband sensing must precede algorithm processing for reliability signal detection. By the way, the performance of spectrum sensing can be degraded due to fading and shadowing. In order to overcome this problem, we propose system model of wideband sensing scheme on energy detected collaborative technique. we divide wideband into narrowbands and use narrowbands to detect signal excepting some narrowbands including bad channel through the CSI. And we simulate and analyze in terms of detection probability with various SNR.

As a noninvasive imaging meathod, optical coherence tomography system has been extensively studied because it has some advantage such as imaging of high resolution, low cost, and compace size configuration. The optical power of the sample signal reflected from an object is usually very small in optical coherence tomography(OCT) due to absorption and scattering in a sample material. Furthermore, there happens a serious loss of sample signal power in a fiber coupler because it does not transfer to a photodetector but return to the optical source. In order to improve the SNR of OCT system, basic Michelson and Mach-Zehnder interferometer types were configured then, we compared simulation with measurement of reference sample Therefore, an On in configuration of Math-Zehnder interferometer was demonstrated in order to improve the signal to noise ratio

When codeword sequence has two or less successive transitions, the performance of 4th-order partial response maximum-likelihood (PRML) detector can be improved. However, the code leads to an unacceptable loss of performance due to the low code rate. For a rate 718 code that MTR constraint (i) of each codeword is limited to 2, and j is allowed to be 3 when codewords are connected, we modified the trellis of PRML detector to combine j=2 with J=3. We confirmed that the rate 718 coded 4th-order PRML detection with combined trellis achieves the SNR gain more than 2dB compared to the rate 819 coded 4u_order PRML detection at 10-s BER in high-density longitudinal or perpendicular magnetic recording systems.

In this paper, we propose a cooperative vehicle communication scheme for high transmission efficiency and coverage extension under multipath fading environment of moving vehicle networks. The proposed scheme uses a Network coding scheme for improvement of receiving performance by using virtual Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO) transmit diversity. Simulation results have shown that the proposed scheme also provides alleviated Inter Symbol Interference(ISI) and Inter Channel Interference(ICI) as well as Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR) improvement and improve 3dB compared to the conventional scheme, since it can utilize the good properties of spatial diversity and coding gain by using virtual MIMO configuration. In this paper, we propose simulations of Ultra-Wideband(UWB) communication system to show validity by using the MATLAB.

Recently, Cognitive radio (CR) has been focused for the effective utilization of the limited spectrum. Since an overlay CR system shares the given spectrum with the unlicensed system simultaneously, its spectral efficiency is high. However, most of the studies on an overlay CR system have been focused on the performance enhancement of the licensed receiver (LR). Correspondingly, the performance of the unlicensed receiver (UR) is degraded. Therefore, we propose an overlay CR NOMA system to improve the performance both of the LR and UR, which has a selected relay for the UR and adjusts the power allocation for the LR. The analytical performance of the proposed system is derived and verified the results through simulation. It is noticed that the UR can be obtained signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gains by the selected relay, consequently, the system performance can be improved. Also, we show that the performance of the proposed system can be controlled by the number of the relays as well as the power allocation ratio. The results reveal that the required performance of the system can be satisfied with the use of the selected relay under the limited transmit power.
We have present an all-optical technique to significantly reduce the dispersion penalty of a spectrum-sliced channel in high-speed and long-distance transmissions. We have reduced the necessary optical bandwidth for the 2.5 Gb/s incoherent light transmission down to 0.1 nm by expanding the optical bandwidth of a received signal. The optical bandwidth expansion was realized using the intra-channel fiber four-wave mixing at the receiver resulting in an improvement of th signal-to-noise ratio of the received light channel. We have successfully demonstrated the transmission of a 2.5 Gb/s NRZ signal with the 0.1 nm bandwidth over a 300 km dispersion-shifted fiber. An error floor occurs at $1{\times}10^{-5}$ BER without the optical bandwidth expansion. With the optical bandwidth expansion, however, the error floor decreases to less than $1{\times}10^{-10}$. The transmission penalty was less than 0.5 dB at $1{\times}10^{-10}$ BER. To our knowledge, the optical bandwidth of 0.1 nm used in our experiment is the narrowest optical bandwidth reported so far.
A Study that Cronbach Alpha values were Significantly higher at 0.813 in the Composite AP axial Radiography Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR) for Evaluating uniform Density and Advanced Images of the Entire Foot without overlap with the legs. The Subjective Evaluation ROC also scored a high score of 18 on Foot Calcaneus bone 10° from the Foot Metatarsal bone, and 18 on the Examination by tilting the Sharpness X-ray Tube 20° from the Foot Calcaneus bone. Results show uniform Density and images at 10° rearward of Foot Metatarsal bone and 20° forward of Foot Calcaneus bone during the Composite AP axial Radiography X-ray Examination of Infants.

In electronic warfare, source enumeration and direction-of-arrival estimation are important. The source enumeration method based on eigenvalues of covariance matrix from received is one of the most used methods. However, there are some drawbacks such as accuracy less than 100 % at high SNR, poor performance at low SNR and reduction of maximum number of estimating sources. We suggested new method based on eigenvalues gaps, which is named AREG(Accumulated Ratio of Eigenvalues Gaps). Meanwhile, FGML(Fast Gridless Maximum Likelihood) which reconstructs the covariance matrix was suggested by Wu et al., and it improves performance of the existing source enumeration methods without modification of algorithms. In this paper, first, we combine AREG with FGML to improve the performance. Second, we compare the performance of source enumeration and direction-of-arrival estimation methods in Rayleigh fading. Third, we suggest new method named REG(Ratio of Eigenvalues Gaps) to reduce performance degradation in Rayleigh Fading environment of AREG.
