And this study explores if perceived organizational support can moderate the relationship between narcissism and social media addiction. For this, this study collected data from 285 employees in Korean companies through a survey method and uses SPSS 18.0 for hierarchical regression analysis in the hypothesis test. First, organizational politics increases mood modification, withdrawal and tolerance among the sub-factors of social media addiction. Second, each phenomena of social media service addiction such as salience, withdrawal and tolerance decrease each relevant factors of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Third, withdrawal and tolerance among the sub-factors of social media addiction play the mediating roles between narcissism and each relevant factors of job satisfaction/organizational commitment. Finally, perceived organizational support decrease the effect of narcissism on mood modification, withdrawal and tolerance among the sub-factors of social media addiction. This study provides some of managerial implications to corporate executives who try to manage organizational attitudes.

  • This study was done to identify the factors influencing customer orientation of nurses. Method: The participants were 505 nurses who were working in 13 hospitals. Data were collected with structured questionnaires in Feb., 2012, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one way-ANOVA, Scheffe test, correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression with PASW (SPSS) 18.0 program. Result: The average score for internal marketing was 3.07 points, for job satisfaction, 3.06 points, for organizational commitment, 3.25 points, and for customer orientation, 3.53 points. Customer orientation was positively correlated with internal marketing, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. • The paper considers empirical Bayes (EB) and hierarchical Bayes (HB) predictors of the finite population mean under a linear regression model with measurement errors We discuss how to calculate the mean squared prediction errors of the EB predictors using jackknife methods and the posterior standard deviations of the HB predictors based on the Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods. A simulation study is provided to illustrate the results of the preceding sections and compare the performances of the proposed procedures.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the levels of burnout experienced by Korean hospital nurses (N=198), and to identify predictors of their nursing outcomes such as job performance, work satisfaction, and productivity. Method: Hierarchical multiple regression was used to identify predictors of each nursing outcomes. Included predictors were nurses' general characteristics, work- related characteristics (role stress and perceived control), and burnout. Results: Korean nurses experienced higher levels of burnout compared to the cutoffs suggested by Maslach and Jackson (1986) and to those in the USA. For each nursing outcome, predictor variables explained 39% of the variance in role performance, 30% of the variance in work satisfaction, and 38% of variance in productivity. Higher personal accomplishment, lower role ambiguity, being staff nurses, and lower emotional exhaustion were related to higher job performance, and higher productivity. Lower role conflict and role ambiguity were also related to higher work satisfaction. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, managemental interventions for nurses to reduce their burnout experience are needed. Further study in this area is warranted.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of organizational justice on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and health among hospital nurses. Method: The sample of this study consisted of 267 nurses from 3 general hospitals located in Seoul, Korea. Data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires and analyzed hierarchical multiple regression. Result: The distributive and procedural justices had effects on nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment, but no effects on health. The procedural justice had more effects on nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment than distributive justice. There was no moderating effect of distributive and procedural justices on nurses' job satisfaction, organizational commitment and health. Conclusions: It is important for hospitals to be established fair reward systems which should focus on both outcomes and processes in order to evaluate nurses' rewards. It is suggested that new moderators like personality or organizational structure should be considered for future research.

  • Stress affects the type of adaptation required for each case and the type of social support is also different. In order for social support to have a buffer effect on stress, we want to understand how to measure social support and support according to specific stress situations. Therefore, this study examines coping behaviors of community service workers exposed to these job stresses and examines the effect of support system (family support, peer support, superior support) on coping behavior. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of stress, coping resources and coping behaviors of community service workers. In this study, self - report method was used to investigate the questionnaire using structured questionnaires. In this study, the statistical program was used for data analysis and hierarchical regression analysis.
