항만공진현상을 고려한 계류선박의 동요 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Moored Ship Motion Considering Harbor Resonance)

  • 본 연구는 항만 공진 현상을 고려한 계류선박의 동요량 산정방법을 제시하고 공진현상이 선박의 동요에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 평가한 것이다. 공진 현상의 해석은 타원형완 경사방정식을 채용한 CGWAVE 모형을 사용하였고, 계류선박의 동요 해석은 3차원 Green 함수 모형을 사용하였다. 본 방법은 현지 계류선박의 동요량 계측 결과를 이용하여 타당성을 검증하였고, 포항신항의 최근 파랑 관측 자료와 비교하여 현지 항만의 적용성을 검토하였다. 파랑 관측 기록에서 얻어진 포항신항의 공진주기는 80분, 33분, 23분, 8분 등의 장주기 성분과 항내 슬립에서 발생한 주기 42초, 54초, 60초 등의 외중력파 성분이었으며 공진 해석 모형은 이들 공진주기를 잘 재현하였다. 본 연구에서는 포항신항의 제 8부두에 5,000톤, 10,000톤, 30,000톤의 선박이 계류되었을 때 공진 성분을 포함한 경우와 포함하지 않은 경우의 동요량을 각각 산정하여 공진 현상이 선박 동요에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 공진 성분을 포함한 경우는 그렇지 않은 경우에 비하여 12~400 %의 동요량 증가를 보였다. 공진 현상이 동요량에 미치는 영향은 Surge, Heave 동요는 선박이 클 수록, Roll과 Yaw 동요는 반대로 선박이 작을 수록 커짐을 알 수 있었다.

슬로싱 액체 댐퍼를 이용한 사각형 폰툰의 운동 저감 (Motion Reduction of Rectangular Pontoon Using Sloshing Liquid Damper)

  • The interaction between a sloshing liquid damper (SLD) tank and a rectangular pontoon was investigated under the assumption of the linear potential theory. The eigenfunction expansion method was used not only for the sloshing problem in the SLD tank but also for analyzing the motion responses of a rectangular pontoon in waves. If the frictional damping due to the viscosity of the SLD tank was ignored, the effect of the SLD appeared to be an added mass in the coupled equation of motion. The installation of the SLD tank had a greater effect on the roll motion response than the sway and heave motion of the pontoon. One resonance peak for rolling motion showed up in the case of a frozen liquid in the SLD tank. However, if liquid motion in the SLD tank was allowed, two peaks appeared around the first natural frequency of the fluid in the SLD tank. In particular, the peak value located in the low-frequency region had a relatively large value, and the peak frequency located in the high-frequency region moved into the high-frequency region as the depth of the liquid in the tank increased.

  • 기존의 스포츠 시뮬레이터 제품들은 모션 플랫폼의 운동과 간단한 시각적 콘텐츠를 이용한 실감 표현에 집중되어 있고 놀이위주의 적용에 국한되어 있어, 사용자가 체감할 수 있는 오감 자극효과가 낮아 고실감 적용에는 부족하며, 전문 콘텐츠 부재로 인해 교육용 스포츠 시뮬레이터로서의 적용은 아직 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 다종목 교환이 가능한 다축 공통 플랫폼과 교환식 스포츠 모듈로 분리하여 공통 플랫폼의 운동 자유도를 4자유도(Surge, Sway, Heave, Yaw) 운동을 할 수 있도록 스포츠 플랫폼을 설계하였다. 이 플랫폼은 안정성을 보장하고 간섭을 최소화하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 플랫폼에 탑재되는 교환식 스포츠 모듈의 운동 자유도는 2자유도(Roll, Pitch)로 승마, 요트와 같은 다양한 운동이 적용이 가능하고, 독립적인 회전 2자유도의 체감형 시뮬레이터의 구현이 가능하도록 하였다.

다양한 수직방향 무게중심을 고려한 사항 중 탱커 선체에 작용하는 유체력에 관한 연구 (Study on Hydrodynamic Forces Acting on Tanker Hull with Consideration of Various Vertical Centers of Gravity in Drift Test)

  • An investigation was conducted to determine whether the changes in the maneuvering forces and moments acting on a hull could be affected by changing the vertical center of gravity (VCG) of a tanker. The changes in the hydrodynamic forces and moment acting on a hull according to the restraint conditions of motion were examined using CFD for cases where the VCG was located at the design draught (100% of draught), under the design draught (75% of draught), and at half of the design draught (50% of draught). The following motion restraint conditions were selected: (1) fixed restraints for everything; (2) heave, pitch, and roll free restraint; and (3) heave and pitch free restraints. It was found that restraint condition (2) had the best agreement with the model experiment results. In addition, it was found that the hydrodynamic forces and moment acting on the hull with restraint condition (2) could be greatly affected in the model tests and CFD calculations by the various configurations for the vertical center of gravity of the hull. Finally, it was concluded that the location of the vertical center of gravity of the hull could be an important factor when more accurate hydrodynamic maneuvering forces and moment are estimated.

플랫폼의 주기 운동을 고려한 부유식 해상 풍력터빈의 공력 성능 해석 (Aerodynamic Load Analysis of a Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Considering Platform Periodic Motion)

  • 본 연구에서는 부유식 플랫폼의 6자유도 방향으로의 주기 운동이 로터 공력 성능에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 부유식 해상 풍력터빈에 대한 공력 해석이 수행되었다. 수치 해석을 위해 블레이드 요소 운동량 방법을 이용하였으며, 유동 박리와 후류 영향에 의한 비정상 공력 효과를 포착하기 위해 인디셜 응답 방법에 기반한 동적 실속 모델을 이용하였다. 로터에 의해 유도되는 내리 흐름은 운동량 이론과 난류 후류 상태에 대한 경험적 모델을 연계하여 계산하였다. heave, sway, surge 방향으로의 병진 운동과 roll, pitch, yaw 방향으로의 회전 운동을 포함한 플랫폼 주기 운동을 고려하였으며, 각각의 모션은 사인함수 형태로 적용되었다. 수치해석을 위한 대상 풍력터빈으로는 NREL 5MW 풍력터빈이 사용되었다. 해석 결과로부터 세 방향 병진 운동 모드 중, surge 운동 시 로터 공력 변화가 상대적으로 크게 나타났으며, 회전 운동 모드의 경우, pitch 운동에 의해 로터 공력이 크게 변화됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • It is well known that discrepancies between measured and predicted ship motions are significant in the range of low frequencies. In this paper, the vertical ship motions in regular longitudinal waves in a shallow water are briefly discussed. The investigation is focussed on the role of wave exciting forces and moments to the motion responses in these low frequencies. It is confirmed that diffraction forces are in general small in a shallow water as one may expect. Furthermore the wave exciting forces and moments on a displacement-type ship will be larger practicularly in low frequencies, when the contribution of the diffraction effect is neglected. As a result of this fact theoretically predicted responses for the pitch motion becomes closer to the experimental one. The discrepancies for the heave motion, however, are still apparent.

  • Herein the surge-heave-pitch motion of a ship in harbor has been analyzed within the framework of linear potential theory. The ship is assumed to be slender and moored at an arbitrary position in a rectangular harbor with a constant depth. The coast line is assumed to be straight. The ship and harbor responses to incident long waves are represented in terms of Green's function, which is the solution of tole Helmholtz equation satisfying necessary boundary conditions. An integral equation is obtained from matching condition between harbor and ocean solutions, and it is replaced by an equivalent variational form. Numerical results sallow that the ship motion can be highly amplified at the frequencies, where the harbor is resonated by the incident wave. At the resonant frequencies, the added mass for vertical motions becomes negative and the damping forte changes abruptly.

  • In order to evaluate the safety of navigation at sea and the safety of mooring ship on berthing, it is necessary that the wave and wind induced ship dynamic motion should be measured in real time domain for the validity of theoretical evaluation method such as sea-keeping performance and safety of mooring. In this paper, the basic design of sensors is discussed and some system configurations were shown. The developed system mainly consists of 4 kinds of sensors such as three dimensional accelerator, two dimensional tilt sensor, two displacement sensors and azimuth sensor. Using the this measuring system, it can be obtained the 6 degrees of freedom of ship dynamic motions at sea and on berthing such as rolling, pitching, yawing, sway, heave, surge under the external forces.

최소수선면적 쌍동선(SWATH)의 운동특성해석 (Motion Prediction of the Small-Waterplane-Area Twin-Hull Ship)

  • Recently, the SWATH concept hull form which is capable of high speed navigation with small oscillatory motions in waves, was developed from the catamaran type hull forms. This paper discribes a method to predict motion responses of a SWATH ship in regular waves using the strip theory. The 2-dimensional hydrodynamic problem was solved using the improved Green integral equation which is free from the irregular frequencies. The effects of viscous drag which is dominant in heave damping of the SWATH ship are taken into account. Further, the effects of the stationary stabilizing fins which is important in high speed performance of the SWATH ship are included in the equation of motions. It seems that the motion responses calculated by the present method show better agreement with experimental results than other existing numerical results.

  • As larger ships and floating offshore structures are, and rougher the marine environment becomes nowadays, a drag embedment type anchor of more stable performance and higher holding power is requested. This paper describes an experimental study of the drag embedding motion and the resultant holding force of three types of drag embedment type anchor model (HALL, AC-14, SEC POOL-N, scale 1/10).
