240W급 고출력 LED 집어등의 광학적 특성 (The Optical Characteristics of 240 W High Power LED Fish Luring Lamp)

  • 본 연구에서는 240 W급 고출력 LED 집어등의 특성을 기존 메탈 집어등과 비교하여 배광 패턴의 특성 및 광효율을 분석하고, 파장 대역의 특성을 해양 투과 특성 및 시감도를 고려하여 집어등 광원으로써 적정성을 분석하였다. 색온도 6500 K, white LED 패키지를 적용한 240 W LED 집어등의 특성을 보면 배광각은 ${\pm}45^{\circ}$, 조도 변화률이 0.8로 개선되었으며, 광효율은 98.8 lm/W로 향상되었다. LED 집어등의 해수의 투과율과 인간의 암순응시 시감도를 1,500 W 메탈등 1개와 4개의 240 W LED 집어등에 적용하여 비교한 결과, 방사출력이 수심 50 m에 이르면 거의 동등하였으며, 암순응시 시감도만을 적용한 경우에도 LED 집어등이 약 5 % 정도 높은 광속을 나타내었으며, 수심 50 m의 방사출력에 암순응시 시감도를 적용한 경우 LED 집어등의 광속이 14 % 높게 나타나 메탈등의 대체 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • High intensity metal halide discharge lamp performance, specifically the generated luminous flux and light color content, depends critically on the arc tube design. Factors influencing the design and consequent lamp efficacy include : lamp size, geometry, arc tube composition, fill chemistry, electrode design and excitation modes. Shaping of Polycrystalline Alumina(PCA) can be realized by conventional ceramic processes. Several processes are applied nowadays. Well-known in the ceramic high pressure field for decades are the pressing and the extrusion method. Newly developed slurry and precious forming technologies give the one-body seamless tubes, which improve thickness uniformity and lighting performance. Now, we reported some optical properties with different arc tube structures of ceramic metal halide lamps.

LED램프와 메탈램프가 도로조명환경에 미치는 특성 비교평가 (Effects of LED Lamps for Replacement of Metal Halide Lamp in Roadway Lighting Environment)

  • The problems of light pollution first became an issue in the 1970s when astronomers identified the degradation of the night sky due to the increase in lighting associated with development and growth. As more impacts to the environment by lighting have been identified, many attempts have been made for reducing light pollutions. To prevent light pollution and increase energy efficiency, Seoul Metropolitan Government(SMG) replaced metal halide road lighting to LED luminaire in four arterial highway in Seoul. The present study compared the lighting characteristics of metal halide and LED luminaire in terms of Korea Standard for road lighting(KS A 3701) and BUG rating from Illuminating Engineering Society of North America(IESNA). The results showed that LED luminaire increased road surface luminance up to 2 times in average compared to the metal halide environment. Also, LED luminaire reduced the glare value by 2 times and luminous flux over 50% than the metal halide luminaire. In comparison with the BUG ratings, LED luminaire rated 1 degree lower for the backlight ratings and 3-4 degrees lower for the uplight ratings. The measured values testified that the LED luminaire is effective for roadway lighting and light pollution reduction.

플럭스 활성도 및 In 첨가에 따른 Sn-0.3Ag-0.7Cu 솔더 조성의 젖음 특성 변화 (Wettability Evaluation of Sn-0.3Ag-0.7Cu Solder Alloy with Different Flux Activity and Indium Addition)

  • 저 Ag 함유 Sn-Ag-Cu계 무연솔더 조성, 즉, Sn-0.3Ag-0.7Cu 조성의 젖음 특성과 반응 특성을 Sn-1.0Ag-0.5Cu 및 Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu 합금 조성의 결과와 비교, 분석하였다. 또한 Sn-0.3Ag-0.7Cu 조성의 용융 특성을 시차주사열량계(differential scanning calorimeter, DSC)로 측정하고, 인장시험을 통한 응력-변형률 곡선을 관찰하였다. 아울러 Sn-0.3Ag-0.7Cu 조성의 젖음 특성을 향상시키기 위해 halide의 함유량이 많은 플럭스(flux)를 적용하거나 Sn-0.3Ag-0.7Cu 조성에 0.2wt.%의 In을 첨가하여 그 젖음 특성의 개선 정도를 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 halide 함유량이 높은 플럭스를 사용한 경우보다 미량의 In을 첨가한 경우가 $230{\sim}240^{\circ}C$의 저온 영역에서 wettability의 향상에 보다 효과적임을 관찰할 수 있었다.

Analysis of Arc Tube Properties by Degradation in Ceramic Metal Halide Lamp

  • To clarify the relations of optical properties to the main factors responsible for the loss and damage of luminous efficacy, a 20 min turn-on/turn-off test for 2,000 h for a ceramic metal halide lamp is conducted. The corrosion rates of the arc tube wall and electrode are estimated based on thermal stress. Wall blackening is attributed to the tungsten being transported from the hot electrode tips to the relatively cold arc tube wall. Furthermore, the grain boundaries of the arc tube are changed by the degradation. Distortion of the electrode is observed, and the ignition and the driving voltage of the load both increase. Finally, the color rendering index and the color coordinates are changed after the degradation. The luminous flux and the intensity of the luminous distribution are decreased significantly.

  • A novel design technology for a high frequency electronic ballast for metal-halide discharge lamps is proposed. A PFC technique is adopted to get unit power factor and output frequency alteration technique is adopted to avoid acoustic resonance. For characteristics evaluation, the designed electronic ballast is presented using normalized parameter. To reduce losses of the ballast. ZVS control technique is adopted and the maximum flux density of magnetic core for inductor should be kept lower. The electronic ballast for 250[W] metal-halide discharge lamp is implemented and 96[%] efficiency and low conducted EMI level are accomplished.

  • In order to analyze the reason of wall blackening, which affect the decline of lifetime in a ceramic metal halide lamp, we carried out the deterioration of ceramic tubes by a change in operating conditions with arc tubes of two types of spherical and cylindrical, and we have confirmed the cause of wall blackening through the analysis of element composition and spectrum from SEM/EDS and spectrum analyzer. Wall blackening of tungsten was shown by sputtering from ignition in 20 minute on/off condition and wall blackening from chemical reaction between PCA wall and rare earth halides was shown significantly in a condition without on/off test. Especially, the wall blackening and the decline of luminous flux were reduced by inner convection in spherical type arc tube. Moreover, the color temperature and color coordinate were changed by reduction of emission spectrum of Dy which causes the chemical reaction with PCA wall.

70W 메탈핼라이드용 전자식 안정기의 설계 (A Design of Electronic Ballast for 70W Metal Halide Lamps)

  • 본 논문에서는 70[W] 메탈해라이드등을 위한 저전력 고주파 점등방식의 전자식 안정기가 연구되었다. 입력전원은 220[V]의 교류전압이 사용되며 전력처리시스템에 의하여 고주파의 교류전압으로 변환된다. 음향적 공명현상에 의한 등의 물리적 파손을 방징하기 위하여 제안된 안정기는 등에 22[kHz]의 교류전압을 공급한다. 이는 시동시간이나 소비전력감소와 같은 유용한 결과를 나타낸다. 실험결과, 등의 관전압과 관전류는 각각 피크치 155[V]와 0.6[A]이었다. 등의 전광속은 입력전력 82[W]에 대하여 5300[lm]이었으며 발광효율은 64.63[lm/w]를 나타내었다. 평균 완전점등시간과 재점등시간은 각각 3.9분과 4.5분을 나타냈었다.
