This paper describes an improved design of graphic memory for QVGA ($320{\times}240\;RGB$) - scale 262k-color LCD Driver IC. A distributor block is adopted to reduce graphic RAM area, which is accomplished with 1/8 data lines of the previous structure. In line-read operation, the drivabilty of memory array cell is improved by partitioning a word line according to the row address. The proposed graphic memory circuit has been designed in transistor level using $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS technology library and verified using Hsim.

A graphic vehicle modeling pre-processing program and a visualization post-processing program have been developed for AutoDyn7, which is a special program for vehicle dynamics. The Rapid-App for GUI(Graphic User Interface) builder and the Open Inventor for 3D graphic library have been employed to develop these programs in Silicon Graphics workstation. A Graphic User Interface program integrates vehicle modeling pre-processor, AutoDyn7 analysis processor, and visualization post-processor. In vehicle modeling pre-processor, vehicle hard point data for a suspension model are automatically converted into multibody vehicle system data. An interactive graphics capabilities provides suspension modeling aides to verify user input data interactively. In visualization post-processor, vehicle virtual test simulation results are animated with virtual testing environments.

본 연구에서는 2000년 이후 계속되고 있는 학습만화 열풍에 대한 심층적인 고찰을 위한 첫 걸음으로 어린이들의 독서 습관에 가장 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있는 초등학교 담임교사와 사서교사를 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 초등학교 담임교사와 사서교사들은 대체로 학습만화에 대하여 부정적인 시각을 가지고 있었으나 일부 "학습적인" 학습만화에 대한 긍정적인 시각, 학습만화가 또래에 비해 읽기능력이 뒤쳐지는 어린이들에게는 도움이 될 수도 있다는 의견도 있었다. 인터뷰에 응한 교사 모두가 학습만화에 대한 평가 기준의 필요성을 강력히 느끼고 있었다.

Developed in this paper is a feature based modeling of welded plate construction(WPC) which is composed of flat or bended plates represented as reference plane with a constant thickness. First, the necessity and the characteristics of the feature based modeling of WPC as compared with the assemblies of mechanical parts are investigated. Second, feature library for the assemblied of WPC is shown which contains several types of features like joint feature, groove feature, materialfeature and precision feature. Third, the assembly procedures are presented whichmainly consist of both the assembly transformation and the correct assembly checking. Fourth, weld lines generated in the assembled WPC are defined so that those can be used in the process planning or the manufacturing stage. Finally, A prototype system isdeveloped by using a geometric modeling software Pro/Engineer, a graphic software GL(Graphic Library), and C language on a CAD workstation IRIS.

최근 하수처리업무는 도시인구의 증가 및 하수처리기준의 강화로 인해 대부분의 도시에서 하수처리 시설의 신설 및 증설문제가 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 하수처리시설의 증설에 대비하여 중요시설의 유지관리에 필수적인 도형 및 속성정보의 효율적인 관리를 위한 자료관리 Library 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 하수처리장 유지관리에 필요한 도형 및 속성정보의 자료관리 Library를 개발하였으며, 청주시환경사업소를 대상으로 하수처리시설의 유지관리업무의 현황을 분석하고 데이터베이스 설계를 수행하여 이를 토대로 하수처리장 유지관리에 적합한 시스템을 개발하였다. 하수처리장 유지관리시스템은 도형정보와 속성정보를 조작하기 위한 기본기능과 하수처리 관련업무를 처리하기 위한 응용기능으로 나누어 개발하였으며, 본 연구를 통해 개발된 시스템이 하수처리장의 효율적인 유지관리에 기여할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate material designation in library cataloging and to suggest General Material Designation (GMD) and Specific Material Designation(SMD) in Korean. A summary of the study follows. In library cataloging, methods of indicating the type of material are : (1) color-coding, (2) media code as part of the call number, (3) material designation in physical description area or note area, (4) GMD and SMD. GMD is a term indicating the broad class of material to which a bibliographic item belongs. SMD is a term indicating the special class of material to which a bibliographic item belongs. GMD was listed in parenthesis following the title proper before AACR1975 code, but currently it is listed in square brackets after the AACR1975 code. AACR2 was the standard cataloging rule in GMD and SMD terminology. It is suggested that GMD be used in Korean for graphic material, sound recordings, drawings, microform, multimedia, videorecordings, manuscripts, photographs, slides, printed music, motion pictures, printed texts, objects, braille, cartographic materials, computer files and transparenies.

An integrated program of driving simulator has been developed for excavators using the Motif, OpenGL, and C compiler. The developed program not only offers a GUI but also covers graphic algorithms, therefore, the user can easily run the driving simulator whose components include a simplified visual graphics system. Several graphics technique are combined and applied to the simulator program in order to increase the speed of graphical representation, which access computer memories, mix 2D models with 3D ones, and use the basic position detection method. A text format environment file has been utilized for organizing more flexible driving circumstances.

This paper presents the iterative algorithm for obtaining the ME PSE(Maximum Entropy Power Spectral Estimation) of 2-dimensional signals. This problem involves a correction matching power spectral estimate that can be represented as the reciprocal of the spectral of 2-dimensional signals. This requires two matrix inversion every iterations. Thus, we compensate the matrix to be constantly positive definite with relaxational parameters. Using Row/Column decomposition Discrete Fourier Transform, we can decrease a calculation quantity. Using Lincoln data and white noise, this paper examines ME PSE algorithms. Finally, the results output at the graphic display device. The 2-dimensional data have the 3-dimensional axis components, and, this paper develops 3-dimensional graphic output algorithms using 2-dimensional DGL(Device Independent Graphic Library) which is prepared for HP-1000 F-series computer.

To control IWR-III Biped Waking Robot, those complex modules are necessary that concurrent control multi-axes servo motors, PID & Feedforward gain tuning, initial value calibration, display current status of system, user interface for emergency safety and three-dimensional rendering graphic visualization. It is developed for various-type gait $data^{[1]}$ and for control modes (i.e open/closed loop and pulse/velocity/torque control) that Integrated Control Enviroment with GUI( Graphic User Interface) consist of time-buffered control part using MMC (Multi-Motion Controller) and 3D simulation part using DirectX graphic library.

학술 연구 활동에 있어서 관련 정보의 수집은 중요한 연구 활동 중의 하나이다. 특히 첨단 과학기술 분야의 연구에 있어서 최신의 학술 잡지에 게재된 논문에 대한 정보들은 더욱 중요성을 같는다. 본 논문에서는 한국과학기술원에서 교수, 학생, 연구원에게 학술 잡지 정보를 신속하고 편리하게 제공하기 위해 개발된 학술 잡지 목차 서비스 시스템 (Journal Current Contents Service System, JContents)을 소개하기로 한다. JContents 시스템은 클라이언트/서버 구조를 바탕으로 GUI(Graphic User Interface) 환경을 제공한다. 특히 캠퍼스 정보 시스템과 연계하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 E-Mail을 통해서 도서관에서 자료 입수 즉시 사용자에게 보낼 수 있도록 하여, 학술 정보를 신속하고 편리하게 제공함으로써 연구 생산성을 높이는데 기여한다.
