A Study on the Face Image to Shape Differences and Make up (얼굴의 형태적 특성과 메이크업에 의한 얼굴 이미지 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to study face images according to the difference of facial shape and make-up. A variety of face images can be formulated by computer graphic simulation, combining numerously different facial shapes and make-up styles. In order to check out the diverse images by make-up styles, we applied five forms of eye brows, two types of eye shadows, and three lip shapes to the round-shaped face of a model. The question sheet, used with a operational stimulant in the experiment, contained 28 articles, composed of a pair of bi-ended adjective in 7 point scale. Data were analyzed using Varimax perpendicular rotation method, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, and Three-way ANOVA. After comparing various results of make-up application to various face types, we could find that facial shape, eye-brows, eye-shadow, and lip shapes influence interactively on total facial images. As a result of make-up image perception analyses, a factor structure was divided into mildness, modernness, elegance, and sociableness. Speaking of make-up image in terms of those factors, round form make-up style showed the highest level of mildness. Upward and straight style of make-up had the highest of modernness. Elegance level went highest when eye shadow style was round form and lip style was straight. Lastly, an incurve lip make-up style showed the highest of sociableness.

  • Traffic information protocol in DMB is very different from existing analog broadcasting and wireless communication network. In this paper, we examined whether traffic information protocol of Europe Broadcasting Union(TPEG) is applicable to domestic DMB. Also, we proposed a division of classification on kinds of franc information, and related data that it is required to transmit traffic information of TPEG form. We composed of experiment equipment and studied whether is expressed traffic informations as like accident, event, traffic condition and CCTV image on car navigation system. The results obtained it can be given expression to phrases from TPEG streaming data and to link with electronics map by decoding TPEG straming data. Also it can be expressed CCTV and graphic image which is composed of TPEG form.

  • The postprocessing technology has been advanced diversely to accommodate the tendency of increasingly refined and complicated practices of finite element modeling in pace with enhanced capabilities of computers and improved algorithm of equation solvers. As a result of such progresses in both hardware and software, it became practically meaningful to inspect and analyze the elasto-plastic behavior using the intermediate results from the increasing number of incremental and iterative processes. This paper is concerned about the new methods of postprocessing with computer graphic visualization of elasto-plastic behavior on the basis of the theoretically reorganized analysis results. This paper proposes a new method of rendering the plastic zone, and new approaches of analyzing and interpreting the elasto-plastic behavior using the graphical information visualized in the form of the yield surface and the stress path, or in the form of the Mohr circles and the failure envelope.

  • VXIbus is a standard for compatibility of instruments of multi-vendors and originated from the VMEbus. The devices for implementing VXIbus system can be categorized into the register based device and the message based device. In this paper we organized the A/D conversion module and the slot0 module, which form the register based VXIbus subsystem. The A/D conversion module is used as a digital voltmeter and LAN is used for communication between an external control computer and the slot0 module. The SCPI(Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments), which is a standard language for instruments, is transmitted from the external control computer to the slot0 module as the ASCII form, and then to the A/D conversion module after changing to the binary digit command. From the experiment. We verified that the measured voltage can be observed on external control computer and user interface can be improved by the modified graphic processing.

  • Automation systems improve the productivity of works which relate to product design, facilities management, fault processing and quality evaluation. In these systems, the description language for monitoring and control process is called new control language. These are five flow control languages : IL, ST, FBD, SFC and LD. IL and ST are based on left form. FBD, SFC and LD are based on graphic form. Generally, a software which monitors and controls a system is allowed to use just one flow control language. It is impossible to use more than two languages for simulation in the same system environment. In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of flow control languages and the process of programming in the legacy system. In addition, for the Integrated processing of languages, we propose Extended ST based on the high-level ST language. Based on this research, we implement a graphical language editor and EST-IL convertor. The graphical language editor makes sequence rules, and converts graphical language into EST. EST-IL convertor has a function to convert EST into IL which is similar to assembly language. As the result of this paper, we present a scheme which integrates all the flow control language processing based on IL.

  • In a container-based cloud environment, multiple containers can share a graphical processing unit (GPU), and GPU sharing can minimize idle time of GPU resources and improve resource utilization. However, in a cloud environment, GPUs, unlike CPU or memory, cannot logically multiplex computing resources to provide users with some of the resources in an isolated form. In addition, containers occupy GPU resources only when performing GPU operations, and resource usage is also unknown because the timing or size of each container's GPU operations is not known in advance. Containers unrestricted use of GPU resources at any given point in time makes managing resource contention very difficult owing to where multiple containers run GPU tasks simultaneously, and GPU tasks are handled in black box form inside the GPU. In this paper, we propose a container management technique to prevent performance degradation caused by resource competition when multiple containers execute GPU tasks simultaneously. Also, this paper demonstrates the efficiency of container management techniques that analyze and propose the problem of degradation due to resource competition when multiple containers execute GPU tasks simultaneously through experiments.

Design of a Variable-Length Instruction for the Effective Usability Instruction in 3D Graphics Processor (3D 그래픽 프로세서에서 효율적인 명령어를 위한 가변길이 명령어 설계)

  • Recently, Khronos institude OpenGL ES 2.0 API for support Shader 3.0 model that can possible variable graphic processing. For this reason, the mobile device have need of supporting processor for a shader 3.0 model. We should extend instruction's length to support OpenGL ES 2.0 API, so we need more memory size. In this paper, we propose a new instruction form that adopted variable length and unit instruction architecture. This proposed instruction architecture that support to Shader 3.0 model has consist of 32bit unit instructions up to 4 which can be combined for embellishing each other. Therefore, it can execute flexible instruction combination and reduce waste of instruction fields.

The Factors Influencing on Depression of Patients for Fibromyalgia Syndrome (섬유조직염 환자의 우울에 미치는 변인)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to understand the depression of patients for Fibromyalgia Syndrome(FMS) and to identify the factors influencing depression. Method: The instruments used here are Beck Depression Inventory in depression, the Korean Rheumatology Health Association' instruments in Self-Efficacy. Also, Pain and Fatigue was measured by Visual Graphic Rating Scale. The subject of study is 76 outpatients diagnosing FMS from rheumatism specialists at C hospital in D city. The data has been collected from Sep. 1st to Sep. 30th in 2001. For the analysis of collected data, frequency analysis, independent t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis were used for statistical analysis with SAS statistical program. Result: General characteristics showing statistically significant difference in depression were age, education, occupation, gender, exercise and sleep in the patients with FMS. Depression for the patients with FMS has negative correlation coefficients with Self-efficacy and ADL, and positive correlation coefficients with Pain and Fatigue. The suitable regression form resulting from the multiple regression analysis to investigate the influencing factors of depression for the partients with FMS was expressed by y =50.067 - 0.278x$_1$ + 1.320x$_2$ (x$_1$: Self-Efficacy x$_2$: Fatigue) and $R^2$ =0.427. Conclusion: The factors influencing on depression of patients for FMS was Self-Efficacy, ADL, Pain, and Fatigue. Further study needs to be done identify methods of overcoming and presentation of depression in FMS.

  • Mobile communication is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and especially in Korea, where we have well over 30 million voice subscribers. Mobile communication now offers variety of data communication services such as wireless internet, multimedia messages, and color graphic displays. Handsets also have grown to accommodate such services, thus with functionalities such as programmable virtual machines that users can download and execute their own programs. In this paper, we have demonstrated a PCS handset monitoring system which can monitor biometry signals - in this case ECG over wireless internet and wireless data network (IS95C) based on programmable virtual machine architecture. The remote client handset receives data signals from a centralized server and processes and displays them in human friendly form in real time. Since every single handset on sales in Korea has programmable virtual machine and more than 10 million handsets are in distribution already, proper applications may have substantial impact on the related fields.

  • No mater how brilliant brain a man has, as time goes by, it is certain to fall into a lapse of memory phenomenon in according to cease to exist as a matter of course. But as previously stated, there is no room for douby, if we make advertising information for being changed into a sign which is to be treated easily and simplified, we can easily memory and withdraw it. In other words, the information is to be coded simpler, the memory and recollection of it is to be easier as wll as we can raise the precision rate. Good many advertising today, it appears, try to raise the acknowlegement rate with shock of good-sized and exposure frequency. In this advertising form, we can aspire to the intention of advertiser to try to get lapse of the message of advertising. Of course, even if it cannot be an index of every advertising information called simplified memory and recollection rate, it should be emphasized that it cannot but have something to do with the consumer's memory. Which to be obtained by invested advertisement. As for it, there are so many things to be taken charge of a lots of content by graphic designer: to be obtained mental distribution of resources inconnected with a desire of consumer, to be converted memory information into being less than that and treated easier, and to be correlated the memory information with the previously known things.
