배차계획을 위한 대화형 의사결정지원시스템 (An Interactive Decision Support System for Truck Dispatching)

  • Truck dispatching is one of the most commonly occurring problems of transprot management. We developed an interactive decision support system named IDSSTD, for the truck dispatching problem where two conflicting objectives are treated and travel speed varies depending on the passing areas and time of day. The IDSSTD aids the decision-making process by allowing the user to interact directly with the database, to direct data to a decision model, and to portray results in a convenient form. The IDSSTD is consisted of two major interactive phases. The pre-scheduling interactive phase is to reduce the complexity of a given problem before applying the BC-saving heuristic algorithm and the post-scheduling interactive phase is to improve practically the algorithmic solution. The IDSSTD has the capabilities of its own manipulation(analysis and recommendation) and diverse graphic features in order to facilitate a user's interaction.

  • In this study, we made experiments the preparation of silver halide microcrystals, physical ripening, chemical ripening, spectral sensitivity, additives and coating in order to develop medical laser scanner film which has photographic characteristic suitable for exposure to He-Ne and Ar laser. In the practice of sensitometry, the photographic material is exposed to a known quantity and quality of radiant energy, developed under standard conditions, and the densities resulting from the various exposures are then measured. The results are usually expressed in graphic form as curves, and from these curves numerical values are derived which are used to specify the characteristics of the material.

  • In this paper, the influence of ram-pressure on the static and dynamic characteristics of infinite width tilting-pad journal bearing is investigated theoretically. The ram-pressure is obtained by assumption of conservation of mechanical energy of the lubricant flow through the leading edge of the pad. The pressure in the lubricating film is numerically calculated using the ram-pressure obtained as the inlet pressure boundary condition of the pad. The static equilibrium state of tilting-pad journal bearing is determined by Newton-Raphson iteration method. A numerical results are presented in graphic form and relationships between the ram-pressure and the static and dynamic characteristics are discussed.

표면조도가 윤활효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Lubrication effects of surface roughness)

  • The influence of one sided striated surface roughness on load carrying capacity of a slider bearing is analyzed for very low clearance films. A Reynolds equation appropriate for slider bearing is derived and analyzed by the method of finite difference method. For a slider bearing with several simple roughness form, the pressure, load capacity and other parameters can be revealed and also this results can be stored in sequential data file. After all, their distribution can be displayed easily by using the CADG(Computer Aided Design and Graphics) program. Also exact solutions with this nemerical method are compared with those of the theory attributed to Tonder and White. The results reported here should find application in the computer peripherals where computer aided design and graphic package is needed.

  • Properties of newly developed paper from Red Algae Pulp (RAP) were examined. The paper samples were prepared according tomixing RAP fiber with wood fibers, HwBKP and SwBKP, to form a paper with 60 g/$m^{2}$ in weight. It was prepared in three to four different levels of refining degree and pressure so that it can reveal different bulk level in order to clearly compare the opacity at equivalent bulk for each furnish compositions. printability of RAP fiber revealed superior effect on print through repression and initial ink absorption. Those properties are expected to improve further if printability improvement effect due to smoothness improvement is added.

  • To intergrate finite elements Into CAD enviroment, design oriented structure of the finite element program is desirable. For this purpose a program called CFEP has been developed. Generation of geometry data is independently treated in the program to ease the modification of property or loading data. By conveniently handling the large number of load cases with various load combinations, and by comprehensively reporting the results through inclusive output for the multiple analyses, the program greatly facilitates the design process. Interfacing with interactive graphic post-processor, the results of analyses and final designed values are obtained in a compact and comprehensive manner. The paper also describes necessary tasks for developing such program on the economical microcomputer. Sample output of printed and graphical form well illustrates the procedure.

마크로모델 개발을 위한 통합 시스템 (An Integrated System for Macromodel Development)

  • In this paper, we desribe a new system, called BEST, that is used to develop a macromodel or behavioral model easily. It automatically calculates the component values of macromodel represented by equations to satisfy the given specification. Also, it gives the way to analyze both the behavioral model and transistor level circuit, and then compare the analysis results of them to check the correspondence under specific temperature and bias condition, and BEST optimizes the component values of macromodel. Other feature is to characterize MOSFET as switch model which consists of PWL-RC network. Finally, it is possible to generage multi-level netlist which consists of macro/switch/transistor level circuits, and user can determine the trade-off between simulation speed and accuracy. With the graphic user interface form of macromodel development system described above. BEST enable designers to make macromodel by themselves and to uas it. We applied BEST to develop the macromodel for the test circuit and got the 18.6 times simulation speed up with preserving the accuracy within 10% compared to the conventional transistor level circuit simulation. Also, applicability of optimization capability was verified.

  • Minimalism combines the adjective 'minimal' and the suffix 'ism', and was first coined in the 1960s. Minimalism draws on the belief that when the use of artistic skills and adaptation is minimized and only the essentials or core is expressed, the discrepancy or distance between reality and art can be kept to a minimum; and thus, true reality can be achieved. To realize minimalism, artists creating paintings, sculptures and other forms of visual art eliminate unnecessary elements and strip objects to its essentials. And hence, most minimalist artwork used minimum amount of color and focused on expressing the geometric essence of objects. Such simplistic styles of minimalism can be seen today in various designs. Apple's iPod design and other product designs as well as graphic designs are just few of the examples. Drawing on the spirit of minimalism, Icongraphics pursues beauty and pleasure in the minimal use of color and form. And what lies beneath Icongraphics' artistic style is its pursuit of simplistic essentials, sending a strong message to the digitalized and complex lives of modern people.

  • 본 연구에서는 당 연구실에서 개발한 곡면모델러인 CASSET(computer aided sculptured surface engineering tool)에 구현된 트리밍기능을 중심으로 트리밍곡면의 생성방법을 설명하고자 한다. 먼저 CASSET에서 곡선 및 곡면을 표현하는 방법과 곡면 위에 존재하는 곡선의 생성방법 및 곡선간의 교점을 구하는 방법을 설명하고 곡선의 트리밍 절차를 통하여 트리밍곡면의 전반적인 생성절차를 보이겠다.

  • The purpose of this study is to show how to gain the morphology of the Hybrid Spatial Structures and to get the geometrical data such as node coordinates, member relationships and graphic images. To form spatial structures, we have developed morphological aspects of general spatial structures, programming process and techniques. Structural design has many processes. Especially, it is very important to consider the determination of structural configuration. Regular Hybrid Spatial Structures have complex configuration, so we need to make use of automated computer process to determine structural shape in Hybrid Spatial Structures. We have applied morphological aspects to double layer plate, single layer dome, double layer dome and tensegrity structure.
