This research was conducted to provide an improvement plan concerning medical treatment on board and medical health care conditions for seafarers. 139 persons from government agencies and seafarer related organizations, who could influence the government's seafarers healthcare policy-making, were asked to fill in the questionnaire prepared for this research about their perceptive views on actual condition of health and disease management for seafarers. The results of the survey on seafarer's health care management conditions(p<0.01), health care manage ability(p<0.01), current radio emergency medical service policy(p<0.01), usefulness of on board medicine chest and medical equipment(p<0.05), and the system of the onboard medical care persons show the difference of perception level among the seafarer related organizations. But generally, the rate of negative responses was high. And this research suggests that there is an urgent need to provide portable health measurement equipment on board, reenforce regular medical examination and establish the seafarer's health promotion center for telemedicine and healthcare management(p<0.01) in order to improve the onboard medical treatment support system for healthcare of seafarers.

Since railway industry is becoming important globally, Korea government and private enterprises invest huge amount of R&D expenditure to develop railway technologies. However, ratio of successful commercialization of technology is very limited. establishment strategy of specialized institution for commercializing railway technologies is very important research issue. For example, France and Japan support railway commercialization through the specialized organization in leading the global railway industry. This study propose the critical success factors of the establishment of railway commercialization and suggest relative importance of CSF's through the hierarchical analysis. As a result, the financial resource plan(0.505) and the commercialization strategy(0.193) are important factors at the first level, and the government funding plan(0.220) and the legal/institutional support(0.150) are important factors for the commercialization organization at the second level.
The characteristics of pesticide residues by multiresidue analysis method using GC, HPLC and GC-MSD were examined for 18,069 numbers of 91 kinds of vegetables in Seoul from 2007 to 2009. Detection rates of pesticide residues were 11.2% in 2007, 8.5% in 2008 and 12.0% in 2009, respectively, and the excess rates of Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) showed a declining tendency as 4.6% in 2007, 2.8% in 2008 and 2.1% in 2009, respectively. The pesticides exceeding MRLs were 43 ingredients in 2007, 30 ingredients in 2008 and 36 ingredients in 2009, respectively. The frequencies of pesticides exceeding MRLs were 71 of azoxystrobin in 2007, 29 of procymidone in 2008, 24 of endosulfan in 2009, respectively. The excess rate of mustard green for MRLs in comparison with sample numbers was the highest among vegetables analyzed more than 10 cases each year. As a result of comparing annually pesticide residues about pesticide ingredients showed high frequency rates for pesticide detection, there was a statistical significance for the detection quantities of diazinon, endosulfan, paclobutrazol and procymidone.
This study confirmed factors affecting smart factory technology acceptance through empirical analysis. It is a study on what factors have an important influence on the introduction of the smart factory, which is the core field of the 4th industry. I believe that there is academic and practical significance in the context of insufficient research on technology acceptance in the field of smart factories. This research was conducted based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), whose explanatory power has been proven in the study of the acceptance factors of information technology. In addition to the four independent variables of the UTAUT : Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions, Government Assistance Expectancy, which is expected to be an important factor due to the characteristics of the smart factory, was added to the independent variable. And, in order to confirm the technical factors of smart factory technology acceptance, the Task Technology Fit(TTF) was added to empirically analyze the effect on Behavioral Intention. Trust is added as a parameter because the degree of trust in new technologies is expected to have a very important effect on the acceptance of technologies. Finally, empirical verification was conducted by adding Innovation Resistance to a research variable that plays a role as a moderator, based on previous studies that innovation by new information technology can inevitably cause refusal to users. For empirical analysis, an online questionnaire of random sampling method was conducted for incumbents of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises, and 309 copies of effective responses were used for empirical analysis. Amos 23.0 and Process macro 3.4 were used for statistical analysis. For accurate statistical analysis, the validity of Research Model and Measurement Variable were secured through confirmatory factor analysis. Accurate empirical analysis was conducted through appropriate statistical procedures and correct interpretation for causality verification, mediating effect verification, and moderating effect verification. Performance Expectancy, Social Influence, Government Assistance Expectancy, and Task Technology Fit had a positive (+) effect on smart factory technology acceptance. The magnitude of influence was found in the order of Government Assistance Expectancy(β=.487) > Task Technology Fit(β=.218) > Performance Expectancy(β=.205) > Social Influence(β=.204). Both the Task Characteristics and the Technology Characteristics were confirmed to have a positive (+) effect on Task Technology Fit. It was found that Task Characteristics(β=.559) had a greater effect on Task Technology Fit than Technology Characteristics(β=.328). In the mediating effect verification on Trust, a statistically significant mediating role of Trust was not identified between each of the six independent variables and the intention to introduce a smart factory. Through the verification of the moderating effect of Innovation Resistance, it was found that Innovation Resistance plays a positive (+) moderating role between Government Assistance Expectancy, and technology acceptance intention. In other words, the greater the Innovation Resistance, the greater the influence of the Government Assistance Expectancy on the intention to adopt the smart factory than the case where there is less Innovation Resistance. Based on this, academic and practical implications were presented.
The incidence of cervical cancer has been gradually decreased since 1990, now it ranks the fourth most common carcinoma among Korean women in 2001. If squamous cell carcinomas in situ are included, the cervical cancer is still the most frequent tumor in Korean women. However, cervical cancer mortality in Korea has been decreased over the last 10 years in large part attributable to the introduction of the Papanicolaou test (Pap. test). The guidelines for the early detection of cervical cancer recommend women aged 30 and more to lake biennial screening with Pap. lest. According to the screening data of National Health Insurance Corporation (NHIC), 4,425 women (0.94%) showed an abnormal Pap among 473,395 cases tested in 2001; dysplasia was in 3,953 (0.84%) women, in situ carcinoma in 357 (0.075%) women, and invasive carcinoma in 115 (0.024%) women. The detection rates of abnormal Pap. were 4.21% in Korean Society for Cytopathology(KSC-2001), 1.37% (ASCUS : 0.26%, AGUS : 0.03%, LSIL : 0.45%, HSIL : 0.55%, Carcinoma 0.09%) in health check-up and 5.41% (ASCUS : 1.89%, AGUS . : 0.69%, LSIL : 1.39%, HSIL : 0.84%, Carcinoma : 0.64%) of patients in out-patient clinic without having history of cervical neoplasia at Hanyang University Hospital in 2002 Low rate of cervical cancer screening (34%) in Korea is mainly due to the lack of information for the Row income people regarding national cancer screening program. More adenuate budget by government and more man-power for precise screening, new guideline and system for management of the cervical cancer patients are required.
The aims of this study were to investigate (1) the status of food materials purchased by group-buying companies and (2) the satisfaction with food materials and service quality of group-buying companies in foodservice at child-care centers. In November 2013, child-care centers which were participated in a group-buying program in Gwanak-gu, Seoul were requested to complete self-reported questionnaires. One hundred and eight respondents (76.9% of directors, 23.1% of non-directors) completed questionnaires, including purchase frequency of food materials, degree of satisfaction with 'food materials' and 'operating system and service' of group-buying companies. About 60% of child-care centers purchased food materials from major companies. Respondents' overall satisfaction with 'food materials' and 'operating system and service' were '3.55' and '3.72' out of 5 points, respectively. For overall satisfaction with food materials, there were significant differences between 'public (3.79)' and 'private, home-based (3.31)' child-care centers (p=0.023). The results of multi-regression analysis showed that quality (${\beta}$=0.271, p=0.013) and price appropriateness (${\beta}$=0.284, p=0.002) were associated with overall satisfaction with food materials purchased by group-buying companies. The factors such as delivery accuracy about items(${\beta}$=-0.201, p=0.042), hygiene of delivery process (${\beta}$=-0.207, p=0.025) and communication with companies (${\beta}$=-0.317, p=0.003) were significantly associated with overall satisfaction with operating system and service provided by group-buying companies. The results of this study could be utilized for group-buying companies and the government to develop guidelines and policies on food material buying in foodservice at child-care centers.
PURPOSES: This study is to estimate nondestructive strength equation based on probability for bridges using field test data. METHODS : In this study, a series of the field inspection and the test have been performed on 297 existing bridges, in order to evaluate the bridges, based on the test results of the in-depth inspection, and the estimated strengths by means of the nondestructive strength equations are analyzed and compared with results of the core specimen strengths. RESULTS : According to results of analyses, In case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 18MPa, 21MPa, similar reliability of RILEM equation were 0.89~0.90, but in case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 35MPa, 40MPa were 0.4~0.56. According to standard design compressive strength of concrete is 40MPa, similar reliability of ultrasonic pulse velocity method equation were 0.56. CONCLUSIONS :RILEM equation had high similar reliability than other equation in case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 18MPa, 21MPa, but had low similar reliability than other equation in case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 35MPa, 40MPa. and ultrasonic pulse velocity method equation had low similar reliability than other equation in case of standard design compressive strength of concrete is 40MPa.
Particle removal is an important step taken at water treatment plants (WTPs) for the safety of tap water due to its proportionality to the pathogen inactivation. Government promulgated a treatment technique for the optimization of filtration including continuous turbidity monitoring using on-line turbidimeters. Based on the turbidity measurements of 460 filters at 31 WTPs operated by K-water, the evaluation of filtration performance and the investigation of major causes related to particle breakthrough were explored. 98.1 % of the filters had an effluent turbidity measurement which was less than 0.1 NTU, but turbidity breakthrough of more than 0.3 NTU was noticed occasionally which is in violation of AWWA 5-Star guidelines. It was shown that the optimization of coagulation, filter-to-waste, the observance of optimal filtration velocity and backwashing process based on filtrate turbidity were crucial for the improvement of filtrate.

Korean government proposed a new initiative 'government 3.0' with which the administration will open its dataset to the public before requests. City of Seoul is the front runner in disclosure of government data. If we know what kind of attributes are governing factors for any given segmentation, these outcomes can be applied to real world problems of marketing and business strategy, and administrative decision makings. However, with respect to city of Seoul, selection of optimal variables from the open dataset up to several thousands of attributes would require a humongous amount of computation time because it might require a combinatorial optimization while maximizing dissimilarity measures between clusters. In this study, we acquired 718 attribute dataset from Statistics Korea and conducted an analysis to select the most suitable variables, which differentiate Gangnam from other districts, using the Genetic algorithm and Dunn's index. Also, we utilized the Microsoft Azure cloud computing system to speed up the process time. As the result, the optimal 28 variables were finally selected, and the validation result showed that those 28 variables effectively group the Gangnam from other districts using the Ward's minimum variance and K-means algorithm.
This paper is aimed to analyse the recent changes in family planning as a step in an evaluation of the results of the population control policy which has been strenuously pursued by the government since December 1981. The data used in this analysis comes from the 1985 national fertility and family planning survey conducted by the Korea Institute for Population and Health (KIPH) in May 1985. According to the 1985 survey data, there have been great changes in both the contraceptive practice and fertility rates since the strengthening of the government's population control policy in 1 981. The contraceptive practice rate for married women aged 15-44 has increased from 57.7% in 1982 to 70.3% in 1985, an increase of 12.6% points in the short span of only 3 years. During the same period, the total fertility rate has declined from 2.7 in 1982 to the population replacement level which was planned to achieve by 1 988. More than 80% of women aged over 30 or with two children or more are practicing contraception, while the practice rates of women with 0-1 children are 14.0% and 45.1% respectively. The survey has revealed that the increase of contraceptive practice rate during 1982-1985 has mainly attributed to the high acceptance of sterilization procedures which practice rate of the married women has increased from 28.1% to 40.3% for the period. Also, the survey data shows that 24.7% of those women with only one child is practicing contraception for thepurpose of fertility termination. The government, taking into account of rapid changes in contraceptive practice and fertility rates, is formulating a population plan during the sixth fiveyear economic and social development plan (1987-1991) to achieve 1% ofpopulation growth rate by 1993, which was planned to realize by 2000. In order to meet this demographic goal, the existing population control policy measures should be improved to be suited to the recent contraceptive use and fertility changes. From this standpoint, the following considerations should be put forth; 1) improvement of the current program management systems including target allocation and evaluation schems for recruiting new acceptors in the young 20s groups to use contraceptives for birth spacing and to increase high continuation rates through the strengthening of follow-up services for the acceptors, 2) increase of self-supporting contraceptive users by promoting commercial advertisements on contraceptives through mass media including T.V. and radio, 3) development of social support policies including incentive schems, and strengthening of IE & C activities for increasing the proportion of the one-child family, 4) strengthening of population and family planning education in and out school youth, and 5) strengthening of management capabilities at the provincial and local program managers.
