  • palestein had been a part of Islamic culture before Israel was established after World War II and their daily lives had been totally affected by the Korean, Consequently, the idea of clothing, types of women clothes and it's characteristics reflected in the Koran have been studied and the results are as follows: First, the idea of clothing reflected in the Koran emphasizes the equality of the sexed and treats women as men's equal partner. Second, in the Koran there is almost no reference on men's clothes, but it only recommends women to wear veil to cover their faces and bodies when they go out. The Koran argues that it is not to restrict women but to protect them. Third, due to it's geographical location, Palestinian clothes had been affected by it's neighboring areas, and the gumbaz-a kind of coat - is one of the examples of Turkish origin. In the beginning the gumbaz had been worn by upper class Palestinian women and subsquently by urban Nazareth women. They used to slip on gumbaz on their heads and shoulders. Fourth, In Palestein they wore jacket over coat or dress. The emboridered jacket from Bethlehem was mostly worn their wedding dress. Fifth, the headdress and face-veil in Palestein are the most unique ones and married women decorated headdress and face-veil with gold or silver coins which they received as wedding presents, and wrapped all their coin decorations in black cloth when husbands are dead. Bedouins decorated not only with coins but also with shells, buttons, stones and beads to articulate their chastity, social status, aestheticism, religion and magic.

  • In contemporary fashion metal have used which is as the material with a sufficient potentiality of expression which is displayed by an unique characteristic involved only in metal. In this paper metal expressed in contemporary fashion is researched. The first thing the formative characteristic of metal is researched under the consideration of type technique and color of metal used in contemporary fashion. Metals such as gold silver bronze aluminum thin lead and iron are usually used in fashion and those metals are used in various types such a thread fabric board leaf a and cable. Those types of metal as above are applied to the clothing by the techniques of weaving embroidering metal leaf printing or moulding which gives the formative characteristic to the clothing. In color metal has an effect on the colors of surroundings by its smooth and unique luster and its effect of reflection and produces the visual formative characteristic through the effects of contrast. The esthetic will of metal expressed in modern fashion is researched in this study under the facts studied as above. first metal expresses the future oriented esthetic Second metal has the characteristic of attracting the attention Third metal is used as valid techniques to express the artistic formation for clothing escaping from the idea that the clothing is only for wearing. Finally metal is used as an anti-cultural tool of fighting against the existing order or spirit.

  • This study is for the development of fashion cultural products that simultaneously evolved with the contemporary use of traditional temple culture in addition, it analyzed the cultural products available in the Korean market. Methodology, this study conducted a literature review and empirical research. We targeted the cultural products carried at twelve web-based shopping malls for Buddhist cultural products and six souvenir shops in Korean Buddhist temples to collect data on those products in order to analyze the items, design motives, materials, and price ranges. The study results showed that interior items represented the largest portion of the targeted goods, followed by accessories/sundries, clothing/fashion items, stationery, and tableware. The most commonly used design motive was lotuses, followed by the images of Buddha or Buddhist Goddesses and Dharma. The most common materials include fibers, jewelry (such as gold and silver), wood, metals, ceramics, paper, and plastic. The most active price range was between KRW10,000 and KRW50,000, followed by less than KRW10,000 and KRW100,000 to less than KRW500,000. This study discovered the potential for traditional temple culture to advance it further in a contemporary manner and indicated the need to develop a wide variety of cultural products and emphasize its global acceptance.

  • In this research, porous materials were made from mine's waste slime. As a temperature changes, a phase changes, a porosity, and a mechanical strength of porous materials were observed and measured. The process of pore-formation was observed by SEM according to the change of heat-treatment temperature and time. It fumed out that the foaming reaction of mine's waste slime was resulted from liquid phase by decomposition of the sanidine and the muscovite-3T. When heat- treated at over 120$0^{\circ}C$, it appeared high porosity. And, to activate the foaming reaction, an alkaline oxide concerned with liquid formation was added and its effects were examined.

  • This study was carried out to recover gold, silver and other valuable metals from the printed circuit boards (PCB) of waste computers. PCB samples were crushed to under 1mm by a shredder and initially separated into 30% conducting and 70% non-conducting materials by an electrostatic separator. The conducting materials, which contained the valuable metals, were then used as the feed material for magnetic separation where it was found that 42% was magnetic and 58% non- magnetic. The non-magnetic materials contained 0.227mg/g Au and 0.697mg/g Ag. Further leaching of the non-magnetic component using 2.0M sulfuric acid and 0.2M hydrogen peroxide at 85$^{\circ}C$ extracted more than 95% copper, iron, zinc, nickel and aluminium. Au and Ag were not extracted in this solution, however, more than 95% of Au and 100% of Ag were selectively leached with a mixed solvent (0.2M ammonium thiosulfate, 0.02M copper sulfate, 0.4M ammonium hydroxide). Finally, the residues were reacted with a NaCl solution to leach out Pb while sulfuric acid was used to leach out Sn. Recoveries reached 95% and 98% in solution, respectively.

  • K-Ar age determinations were carried out on muscovite and other gangue and wallrock alteration minerals from seventeen mineral deposits in the Taebaeg mountain district. Tin deposits give the ages of 1792 Ma and 158-127 Ma, whereas tungsten-molybdenum deposits give the ages of 1520-1480 Ma. 173-168 Ma and 84-81 Ma. Polymetallic mineral deposits. gold-silver deposits and sericite deposits yield the ages of 98-52 Ma. 93-75 Ma, and 202 Ma, respectively. Mineralization ages for each genetic type of deposits in this district can be summarized as follows; pegmatite deposits. 1792 Ma ; pegmatite-hydrothermal deposits. 1526-1480 Ma ; greisen deposits. 157-127 Ma ; skarn deposits, 98-73 Ma and 52 Ma ; hydrothermal deposits, 202-168 Ma and 93-76 Ma. Present results together with data available in the literature reveal that five distinct mineralization ages can be recognized in this district ; (1) 1792 Ma, (2) 1526-1480 Ma, (3) 202-127 Ma. (4) 98-73 Ma, (5) 52 Ma, These age data are similar to the reported radiometric age data of igneous rocks in this district except for two ages such as 2154-2084 Ma and 880-738 Ma.

  • Gas and chemical compositions of fluid inclusions in quartz some of Au-Ag, Pb-Zn-Cu and W-Mo mineral deposits in South Kores were analyzed to interpret the sources of ore fluid and the depositional condition of ore minerals in base-metal ore deposits. Fluid inclusions in quartz from the gold and silver mines are characterized by $CO_2$ rich fluids which have a wide range in $CH_4 \;and\; CO_2$ contents ($CH_4/CO_2$=0.001-0.225). The $CO_2$ rich but $CH_4$-poor nature of the fluid reflects the high fo2 condition during the mineral precipitation. The C2H6 is detected in hydrothermal quartz vines in metasedimentary rocks from the Jeonjoo-il, Youngbokari and Taechang mines. The $CH_4 /CO_2$ rations in W-Mo bearing quartz veins range from 0.005 to 0.214, which is similar with those in Au-Ag mines. However, skarn formation stage. Fluid inclusions, A relatively good correlation between Na and Cl contentrations reflects varible salinity in the fluid inclusion, it is suggested that the chemistry of promary magmatic hydrothermal fluids has changed during post-magmatic alteration and/or wall rock alteration processes. The content of gas compositions also depends on the kinds of country rocks, supporting above conclusion.

  • This paper researched the woodcraft in the Baekje kingdom since the study on the Baekje furniture has not been established due to the absence of the artifacts or remains related to the furniture in the Baekje period. Accordingly, the study focused on the excavated Baekje wooden products and wood crafts on the basis of ancient documents and investigated the ancient documents supposedly related to the Baekje furniture: The Chronicles of the Three States and Japan Scribe. As the result of the study, it could be summarized as follows. First of all, the woodcraft materials were wood, whagak, ivory, silver, gold and they were domestic or imported. Secondly, the woodcraft was finished naturally or lacquered with black or red color or varnishing with lacquer. Thirdly, the kinds of furniture used in the Baekje were a desk, a small portable dinning table, a table and folding stool. Even though there has been no heritage of the Baekje furniture and woodcraft and it is difficult to explain the characteristics or give an example of the Baekje furniture in detail, this study seems to be significant now that it researched the documents and related artifacts or remains which could give some hints or hypothesis of the furniture and woodcraft in the Baekje. What is more, there have been no sound studies on the Baekje furniture.

  • Characteristics of various material surface plasmon resonance (SPR) chips were investigated in angular interrogation mode and intensity interrogation mode. Among five metals, silver (Ag), gold (Au), copper (Cu), chromium (Cr) and titanium (Ti), three metals, Ag, Au and Cu were paid attention to since their characteristics can be easily analyzed in angular interrogation mode by investigating the change of their reflectance curves according to refractive index change from 1.331 to 1.335. Most of SPR chips with various configurations showed the similar property in angular interrogation mode. The application of the SPR chip made of Ag, Au and Cu or their combinations depends on their reflectance properties. In intensity interrogation mode, the operation range may be limited since the variation of the intensity was not linearly related to refractive index change ranging from 1.331 to 1.335. However, the SPR chip containing high ratio of Ag may be applicable to high sensitive detection due to their sharp reflectance curves in intensity interrogation mode.
