Background: The aim of this report is to present a new reference for aesthetic mandible surgery using three-dimensional cone-beam computed tomography-based treatment planning for orthognathic surgery which can be implemented in surgical planning and perioperative procedure. Methods: To make an objective standard for evaluating aesthetic mandibular outline, we make an aesthetic scoring criteria with consideration of asymmetry, broad mandibular border line, and prominent mandibular angle. Two maxillofacial surgeons and two orthodontists rated their aesthetical evaluation from 1 to 5. Experimental group consisting of 47 female and 38 male patients who had rotational orthognathic two-jaw surgery from 2010 to 2011 were chosen according to aesthetic scoring done by two maxillofacial surgeons and two orthodontists. A high aesthetic score (${\geq}16$) means the facial contour is symmetric, with no broad and narrow aesthetic mandible frontal profiles. Control A group consisted of ten female and ten male patients who had no orthognathic surgery experience and low aesthetic score (${\geq}10$). Control B group consisted of ten female and ten male patients who had no orthognathic surgery experience and had anaesthetic mandibular frontal profile and a high aesthetic score (${\geq}16$). The three-dimensional image of the patient was taken from dental cone-beam CT (DCT) scanning (experimental group and control A group: 6 months DCT after surgery, control B group: 1st visit DCT). Each DCT was reformatted to reorient the 3D image using 3D analyzing program (OnDemand3D, cybermed Inc, CA, USA). After selection of 12 landmarks and the construction of reoriented horizontal, vertical, and coronal reference lines, 15 measurements were taken in 3D analysis of frontal mandibular morphology. Afterwards, horizontal and vertical linear measurements and angular measurements, linear ratio were obtained. Results: Mean $Go^{\prime}_{Rt}-Me^{\prime}-Go^{\prime}_{Lt}$ angular measurement was $100.74{\pm}2.14$ in female patients and $105.37{\pm}3.62$ in male patients. These showed significant difference with control A group in both genders. Ratio of $Go^{\prime}_{Rt}-Go^{\prime}_{Lt}-Me^{\prime}$ length to some linear measurements (ratio of $Me^{\prime}-Cd^{\prime}_{Rt}Cd^{\prime}_{Lt}$ to $Me^{\prime}-Go^{\prime}_{Rt}Go^{\prime}_{Lt}$, ratio of $Me^{\prime}-Go^{\prime}$ to $Me^{\prime}-Go^{\prime}_{Rt}Go^{\prime}_{Lt}$, ratio of $Go^{\prime}_{Rt}-Go^{\prime}_{Lt}$ to $Me^{\prime}-Go^{\prime}_{Rt}Go^{\prime}_{Lt}$) showed significant difference with control A group in both genders. Conclusion: This study was intended to find some standard measurement of mandible frontal view in 3D analysis of aesthetic patient. So, these potential measurement value may be helpful for orthognathic treatment planning to have more aesthetic and perspective outcomes.

In this study, effects of both the grafted ABS-g-MAH and the added graphene oxide (GO) on the impact strength of polycarbonate (PC)/poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) (ABS) blends were discussed. The PC/ABS blends and PC/ABS/GO composites were fabricated by using twin screw extruder with ABS-g-MAH as a compatibilizer. The ABS-g-MAH was prepared by melting extrusion of ABS and maleic anhydride (MAH) with DCP (dicumyl peroxide) as an initiator using twin screw extruder and the synthesis of ABS-g-MAH was confirmed by the presence of carbonyl group (C=O) peak at $1780cm^{-1}$ of FT-IR spectrum. According to the thermal, rheological, and impact properties of PC/ABS blends, 5 phr (parts per hundred resin) of compatibilizer was chosen as an optimum content for the PC/ABS/GO composites. It was observed that the thermal decomposition of ABS/PC/GO composites increased with GO contents, but there was no significant changes or a decrease in the impact strength. Also the composite fabricated by ABS/GO showed small increase in the impact strength. From the result of the dynamic rheometer to observe the processing properties, the complex viscosities of PC/ABS blend including the compatibilizer increased, but the complex viscosities of composites added GO were not changed.
The common features of the behavioral inhibition and the action monitoring that are considered as one of the executive functions were investigated using event-related brain potentials (ERPs) and source localization analysis. The electrophysiological correlates of behavioral inhibition and action monitoring ate analyzed when the subjects performed the Go/NoGo task. Two ERP components of behavioral inhibition termed as N200 and P300 in NoGo condition were differ from those of Go condition, that is the amplitudes of NoGo N200 and P300 are largest on the fronto-central region, which may reflect the inhibitory control of frontal lobe required in NoGo condition. The error-related negativity (ERN) observed on the fronto-central region when the subjects committed error was much larger in amplitude and faster in latency than those of the correct-related negativity (CRN), which may indicate that the signal of action monitoring is much more required for the error response. The correlation analysis for the ERP components of behavioral inhibition and action monitoring revealed the significant negative correlation among the latencies of NoGo N200 and P300 and the amplitude of ERN, which may reflects that the faster subjects inhibit response, the more monitor their own action. The close relationship between behavioral inhibition and action monitoring was also supported by the results of source localization analysis, which showed the common neural sources of NoGo N200 and ERN was anterior cingulate cortex.
Although Lithium metal battery (LMB) has a very large theoretical capacity, it has a critical problem such as formation of dendrite which causes short circuit and short cycle life of the LMB. In this study, PDMS/GO composite with evenly dispersed graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets in poly (dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) was synthesized and coated into a thin film, resulting in the effect that can physically suppress the formation of dendrite. However, PDMS has low ion conductivity, so that we attained improved ion conductivity of PDMS/GO thin film by etching technic using 5wt% hydrofluoric acid (HF), to facilitate the movement of lithium (Li) ions by forming the channel of Li ions. The morphology of the PDMS/GO thin film was observed to confirm using SEM. When the PDMS/GO thin film was utilized to lithium metal battery system, the columbic efficiency was maintained at 87.4% on average until the 100th cycles. In addition, voltage profiles indicated reduced overpotential in comparison to the electrode without thin film.

In this study, the graded thermal properties of composites are obtained by difference in specific gravity of fillers including Cu, h-BN and GO powders in epoxy. Relatively heavy powders such as Cu and h-BN compared to GO mostly at the bottom layer, while light GO powders were dispersed in the top layer in the composites. The thermal conductivity of composites was gradually increased from 0.55 (0.52) W/mK to 2.82 (1.37) W/mK for GO/h-BN (GO/Cu) epoxy composites from surface to bottom. On the contrary, the coefficient of thermal expansion was decreased from 51 ppm/℃ to 23 ppm/℃ and from 57 ppm/℃ to 32 ppm/℃ for GO/Cu and GO/h-BN, respectively. The variation of thermal properties in composites is attributed due to intrinsic material properties of filler including thermal conductivity, morphology and the distribution by the specific weight of fillers. This simple strategy for realizing graded thermal composites by introducing different filler materials would be effective heat transfer at interface of heterostructure with large thermal properties such as inorganic semiconductor/plastic, metal/plastic, and semiconductor/metal.
Until now, neuropsychological tests can diagnose the brain dysfunction, however, cannot distinguish the objective data of experiment enough to distinguish the relationships between brain dysfunction and cerebropathia. In this paper, an automatic cognitive test equipment system with 6-axis motion sensors was proposed for the automation of neuropsychological tests. Fist-Edge-Palm(FEP) test and Go-no go test were used to evaluate motor programming of frontal lobe. The motion data from the specially designed motion glove are transmitted wirelessly to a computer to detect the gestures automatically. The healthy 20 and 11 persons are investigated for the FEP and Go-No go test, respectively. The recognition rates of gestures of FEP and Go-No go test are min. 91.38% and 89.09%. In conclusion, the automations of cognitive tests are successful to diagnose the brain diagnostics quantitatively.
The important requirements for stereo video retargeting are threefold: keeping temporal coherence, preventing depth distortion, and minimizing shape distortions of the retargeted video. To meet these requirements, the left and right video sequences are divided into groups of frames (GoFs), where the GoF is a basic unit for the seam carving and we assign a set of fixed seams for all frames within the GoF. To determine the fixed seams for each GoF, we need to find the GoF boundary in the video first. Then, the representative frame for each GoF is generated by considering the spatial saliency and temporal coherence. Also, the confidence of the stereoscopic correspondence between the left and right frames is considered to prevent depth distortion.
Heterotrimeric GTP binding proteins (G proteins) transduce signals of a variety of hormones and neurotransmitters. Go is one of the most abundant G proteins in the brain and classified as the Gi/Go family due to their sequence homology to Gi proteins. While the Gi proteins inhibit adenylyl cyclase and decrease the intracellular cAMP concentration, the functions of Go is not clearly understood despite their sequence homology to Gi. The promeylocytic leukemia zinc finger protein (PLZF) is a DNA binding transcription factor and is expressed highly in central nervous system (CNS). Several studies reported that PLZF may be involved in regulation segmentation/differentiation during CNS development. Here, I report that the alpha subunit of Go (Go ) interacts with PLZF. The interaction between Goa and PLZF was verified by using GST pulldown assay and co-immunoprecipitation. Our findings indicate that Goa could modulate gene expression via interaction with PLZF during neuronal or brain development.
This paper describes the result of applying neuro-fuzzy reasoning, which conducts Go term knowledge based on pattern knowledge, to the opening game of Go. We discuss the implementation of neuro-fuzzy reasoning for deciding the best next move to proceed through the opening game. We also let neuro-fuzzy reasoning play against TD($\lambda$) learning to test the performance. The experimental result reveals that even the simple neuro-fuzzy reasoning model can compete against TD($\lambda$) learning and it shows great potential to be applied to the real game of Go.
In the present work, graphene powder was synthesized by laser scribing method. The resultant flexible light-scribed graphene is very appropriate for use in micro-supercapacitors. The effect of the laser scribing process in reducing graphene oxide (GO) was investigated. GO was synthesized using a chemical mixture of GO solution; then, it was coated onto a LightScribe DVD disk and laser scribed to reduce GO and create laser-scribed graphene (LSG). The CV curves of pristine rGO at various scan rates showed that the ultimate product possesses the ability to store energy at the supercapacitor level. Charge-discharge curves of pristine rGO at two different current densities indicated that the specific capacitance ($C_m$) increases due to the reduction of the discharge current density. Finally, the long-term charge-discharge stability of the LSG was plotted and indicates that the specific capacitance decreases very slightly from its primary capacitance of ${\sim}10F\;cm^{-3}$ and that the cyclic stability is favorable over 1000 cycles.
