연령별 대뇌 피질 두께의 성별 차이에 대한 형태학적 분석 (Morphological Analysis of Age-related Gender Differences in Cortical Thickness)

  • There have been many studies from the genetic system to physical activity and emotional expression such that there are gender differences. The purpose of this study was to determine how the structural characteristics of cortical thickness differ between males and females. This study used data from the Human Connectome Project (HCP). To analyze age-specific sexual dimorphisms of cortical thickness, selected 8-80 year old subjects were divided into five detailed age range groups according to each criterion. A total of 1,700 individual brain MRI T1 data were registered in stereotaxic space for analysis and classified into white matter (WM), gray matter (GM), and cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF). For surface-based analysis, the WM/GM surface was reconstructed from a spherical polygon model with 40962 vertices per hemisphere, and each vertex was extended to the GM/CSF boundary. Cortical thickness was then measured between each vertex using the t-link method. In the statistical analysis, intracranial volume was used as a covariate to exclude the effect of the difference in brain size of each individual, and the result of using age as a covariate was added to confirm the age effect within each group. Gender differences in cortical thickness had significant results by group. This may be an index to explain diseases with sexual dimorphism in prevalence or become a basis for explaining the characteristics of each sex that appear in behavior, personality, and aging. Therefore, the results of our study could be a criterion for age classification in future studies and for understanding 'normal' sexual dimorphism.

성별에 따른 일·생활 균형 인식수준 차이와 일·생활 균형이 부모 자신감에 미치는 영향 (Gender difference of Work-life Balance and the effect of Work-life Balance on Parenting Confidence)

  • 본 연구는 일·생활 균형문화 확산 및 맞벌이 부부의 증가 등으로 변화된 성별에 따른 일·생활 균형 인식수준 차이분석과 일·생활 균형이 부모 자신감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 더불어 일·생활 균형이 부모 자신감에 미치는 영향관계에서 경력관리의 조절효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. SPSS 18.0 통계패키지 프로그램을 이용하여 t-검정, 단순선형회귀분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 일·생활 균형, 부모 자신감, 경력관리의 구조적 관계를 규명하였다. 실증분석에는 총505개의 데이터를 활용하였으며, 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 성별에 따른 일·생활 균형 인식수준에 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 일·생활 균형이 부모 자신감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 일·생활 균형이 부모자신감에 미치는 영향관계에서 조직차원의 경력관리가 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 기혼여성인력 활용 및 일·생활 균형지원을 위한 기업의 노력 등에 관한 실용적 시사점 등을 제안했다.

대학생의 성역할 고정관념과 성폭력피해경험과의 관계에서 성폭력 허용도의 매개효과 : 제주지역 중심으로 (The Mediating Effect of permissiveness of Sexual violence on Correlation between College students' stereotypes of Gender role and Experience of Sexual Violence Ability : Surveying residing in Jeju)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 성역할 고정관념 및 성폭력 피해경험과의 관계에서 성폭력 허용도의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 제주에 위치한 대학교에 재학중인 남녀 대학생 600명 중 408명((남, 127명, 여, 281명)이었으며, 성역할 고정관념, 성폭력 허용도, 성폭력 피해경험 척도를 사용하여 설문을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 상관분석 결과 성역할 고정관념과 성폭력 피해경험은 성폭력 허용도와 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째 성역할 고정관념과 성폭력 피해경험의 관계에서 성폭력 허용도의 매개효과가 어떠한지 알아본 결과, 성폭력 허용도가 성역할 고정관념과 성폭력 피해경험의 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 데이트 성폭력 피해경험에 가장 큰 영향을 준 요인은 성폭력 허용도였다. 구조방정식 경로계수와 매개효과를 살펴보면, 본연구의 표준화 경로계수는 성역할 고정관념에서 성폭력 허용도(29, p=.000)로, 성폭력 허용도에서 성폭력 피해경험(42, p=.000)으로 가는 영향력을 보여줬다. 매개의 효과성에서 간접효과는 성역할 고정관념과 성폭력 피해경험(11, p=.01)에서 나타났고, 직접효과는 성역할 고정관념에서 성폭력 허용도(28, p=.000)로, 성폭력 허용도에서 성폭력 피해경험(40, p=.000)으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 성역할 고정관념이 성폭력 피해경험에 직접적으로 영향을 미치기보다는 성폭력 허용도를 통해 간접적으로 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 본 연구의 시사점은 성역할 고정관념과 성폭력 허용도를 낮추어 성폭력 피해를 감소하게 해야 된다는 것이다. 따라서 양성평등적 인식이 높을수록 성폭력 허용도가 낮아져 성폭력 피해가 예방될 것이다.

대쌍협력 상황에서 나타난 유아의 사회적 상호작용과 과제수행력 (Young Children's Social Interaction and Task Performance in Dyadic Collaboration)

  • This research investigated young children's social interaction and task performance in dyadic collaboration. The independent variables were gender and social skill level(high/low groups). Twenty-four pairs each 4-year-old boys and 4-year-old girls(total 96 subjects) worked at a block reconstruction. Two researchers judged degree of dyadic collaboration. Data were processed by 2 way ANOVA and Pearson's product correlation. While no main effect for gender was found, the effect for social skill level(high/low groups)was significant for social interaction. There was positive correlation between social interaction and task performance.

정보통신 분야 종사자의 내부마케팅노력이 서비스품질에 미치는 효과 (The Relationship between Internal Marketing and Service Quality in Telecommunication Sector)

  • This paper is to investigate the relationship between international marketing and service quality, and the moderating effect of gender in that relationship. The data to make an empirical analysis were gathered from 269 workers in telecommunication sector. Multiple regression analysis revealed that (1) education was positively related with tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, and (2) internal communication was positively related with tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and (3) delegation of authority was positively related with assurance. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis revealed that (4) compensation was more positively related with reliability in woman, and (5) employment security was more positively related with assurance in man.

  • This study examines how experience diversity of chief technology officer (CTO) drives radical innovation of the firm, and the moderation effect of group attributes of top management team. Using data of 148 firms in U.S. manufacturing industries, this study finds that a CTO's diverse functional experience increases a firm radicalness, and diverse industrial experience also increases the radicalness. This study also examined the moderating effect of top management team (TMT) characteristics such as TMT size, TMT tenure, and gender composition in TMT. The positive relationship of CTO knowledge diversity and firm radicalness is weakened as TMT size or TMT tenure increased while the relationship is strengthened as gender diversity in TMT increased. These results of the analysis of firm-level radicalness provide implications for both academics and practitioners.

The Consensus on Impression Formation

  • The studies on impression formation usually have focused on the effect of certain appearance features which elevates perceptual evaluation. This study tried to find out whether there is a consensus on impression formation between the perceived person and the perceiver and if the gender is any significant variable to cast any difference on the impression evaluation. Seven photos of voluntary students in ppt file were projected to 143 students attending a university psychology class and were subjected to a impression evaluation questionnaire consisting of 28 adjective scales. The analysis of result revealed: 1) There was a significant difference between the impression evaluation scores of the perceivers and the perceived; the self evaluation of the perceived person was higher than the perceivers' evaluation. 2) There was also a significant evaluation score difference between the genders of the perceivers; the female perceivers rated the stimuli higher than the male perceivers. There was no interaction effect between the genders of the perceivers and the perceived.

노인의 인지기능 측정 (Measurement of Cognitive Functions of Elderly)

  • To examine the cognitive function of elderly, the study examined the performance of Korean normal elderly population whose age over 65 using neuropsychological instruments. It was predicted that the performance of the Korean population would be different from the U, S. mainly due to their difference in language, culture, and education. Korean elderly people from the Chungchung and Daejeon Metropolitan city(n=97) participated. Two age scores were developed: below 74 years and over 75 years. The effect of age, gender and education was examined, which yield significant age, gender and education effect. The score of DSF, DSB, TMTA, and TMTB are expected to be utilized for research purposes, such as basic, clinical, epidemiological studies, as well as practice purposes such as diagnosis and assessment of the progression of cognitive decline and dementia with MMSE-K.

사상체질에 따른 한열변증의 차이에 관한 연구 (Study on the Difference of Cold-heat Patterns According to Sasang Cinstitution)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference of cold-heat pattern according to sasang constitution. Methods 3891 subjects were joined in this study. The sasang cinstitution diagnosis were proceeded by sasang constitution experts. The questionnaires and anthropometric measurements of the subjects were collected. Results The effect of gender and body mass index on the cold-heat pattern according to sasang constitution were significant. The effect of age on the cold-heat pattern according to sasang constitution were not significant. The distribution of short form-12 and blood test on the cold-heat pattern according to sasang constitution were significant. Conclusions There were significant different distribution of cold-heat pattern asscording to sasang constitution by gender, body mass index, short form-12, blood test.

Effect of Gender on Character Evaluation: Factors Affecting Enjoyment

  • This study attempted to extend Korean Wave literature by investigating (a) the influence of protagonists' personality characteristics and the role of empathy under the affective disposition theory, and (b) the power of some external factors in the entertainment media selection. After watching an episode of the popular Korean drama, Secret Garden, participants completed a survey in the United States. Results demonstrated that (a) the effect of personality characteristics varied across gender and (b) external factors affects the entertainment media selection positively. Findings indicate that media enjoyment is dependent on the audience's external factors.
