엘리베이터용 기어펌프 개발 (Development of the Hydraulic Gear Pump for an Elevator)

  • A gear pump is a type of pump that displaces a volume of fluid by physical or mechanical action, or positive displacement pump. Power is applied to one of the gears and transmitted to a second driven gear via meshing teeth. This paper describes the hydraulic gear pump for an elevator. In gear pump, since geometrically special forms of gear tooth, 'Pulsations' is always caused in the delivery pressure and quantity. In other words, it is found that the number of delivery pressure pulsation per each revolution is always equal to that of the gear-teeth of the gear, which is coincident with the pulsation of the ideal delivery quantity. Some experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of the developed pump.

  • Optimal design program for an external gear pump for yarning has been developed. Optimization is accomplished using ADS program. Pump design parameters can be determined automatically for maximum gear efficiency with constraints considering shaft, bearing, gear and pump. Comparing the design parameters obtained by the program with those of the sample, it was verified that the program could be used as a design tool if it is modified a little.

  • 본 논문은 국내 최초로 독자기술로 개발된 항공기용 연료이송펌프의 기어부를 설계하는 일련의 절차 및 그 결과에 대한 것이다, 기어펌프 방식이 베인펌프 방식에 비하여 전반적 성능이 우월하고, 내부 누설이 소량으로, 연료이송펌프의 설계에 필요사항에 부합하여 이 방식이 선정되었다. 기어 하우징은 흐름을 결정하는 중요한 변수인데, 기어의 외경을 고려하여 적절한 여유공간을 갖도록 설계하였다. 아울러, 모터가 연료이송펌프를 구동하기 위해 필요한 공압 및 축동력 등도 계산하였다.

  • It needs to accumulate a store of know-how on the design, precision processing and appraisement for metering pump which is a kind of gear pump fer synthetic fibers. But the period and cost fur development is not effective, because designers experience many trial and error for the pump design and manufacturing process. Therefore, in order to curtail the period and cut down expenses, the analysis and simulation system is required for a designed metering pump. In this study, the pump simulation software was developed with the visual C++ language and the image processing algorithm, and was investigated through a discharge test for the planetary gear type metering pump.

  • In this study, the increasing gear boxes for the high speed vertical in-line centrifugal pump are developed through rotor dynamic analysis. The developed increasing gear boxes are two kinds for 18000rpm and 25000rpm at the output shaft. The gear sets suitable for high speed and high load are manufactured by investigating AGMA bending strength and AGMA surface strength severely. The rotor dynamic analysis on gear sets and bearings is performed in order to avoid the critical speeds and other troubles. As a result of study, the two increasing gear boxes for the high speed vertical in-line centrifugal pump are designed and manufactured.

  • 기어 끝단과 하우징 사이의 간극이 회전방향으로 편심된 인벌류트펌프에서 체적유량과 유량효율을 검토하였다. 해석은 k-e 모델을 이용하여 FLUENT/R-13을 사용하여 기어의 회전속도, 간극의 거리 및 출구압력이 주어져 있을 경우 난류유동을 해석하였다. 동심축과 편심축의 경우 체적유량을 비롯한 유동특성에 대해 독립변수들의 영향은 지속되었으나 회전방향에 대한 압력 분포는 서로 달라 편심의 경우 상류부에서 대부분의 압력이 상승하고 하류부의 압력은 거의 일정한 특성을 보였으며 편심의 영향이 클수록 이러한 현상은 심하게 나타났다. 편심펌프에서 유동특성은 최소 간극에 의존하며 체적유량 혹은 체적효율은 편심되기 전 동심축보다 크나 최소간극과 같은 크기의 동심펌프보다는 작다. 펌프에서 기어축의 편심에 의한 간극 축소는 펌프성능에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다.

  • This paper describes the adherence phenomenon, including the tribological characteristics, of a low-pressure fuel pump in a diesel engine for an excavator. Most fuel pumps of a diesel-engine excavator are of the fixed-quantity-gear type and have low pressure. However, the developed pumps develop problems in the pumping system owing to performance instability. Cavitation, which is the main obstacle to stable driving in the pump, occurs between an idle gear and the housing to produce a serious adherence problem. The present study not only examined how to suppress cavitation in a pump but also developed a simple method to improve pump performance through the early creation of a lubrication film with a phosphoric acid coating on the surface of the idle gear. The results showed that the coating successfully prevents breakage of the idle gear due to adherence.

  • This work investigated the performance improvement of a medium-pressure fixed-displacement-type SPUR gear pump, which is mainly used in the machine tool industry. The 3D CFX analysis and IS technique were applied using ANSYS (commercial FEM code) and compared with experimental results to ensure the reliability of the analysis. In addition, the performance improvement of the pump was obtained using the theoretical volumetric displacement equation, and the gear tooth width was changed. The pressure flow performance curves were compared, and the results were analyzed according to the width of the gear teeth. This is a factor that can cause irregular flow, vibration, and noise inside the gear pump owing to friction between the housing and gear pump.
