All over the value chain, a logistics information system must satisfy several requirements about gathering and sharing related information. For example, distributors or forwarders need up-to-date information for scheduling and managing their logistics resources. Meanwhile, consignors or consignees want to know the dynamic information about current states or location of their goods. Such information is dependent upon the quality of data sets collected throughout the logistics processes. Thus, gathering accurate data promptly is the essential factor for the success of a logistics information system. However, there are limits in reducing both time-gap and man-power for datn sourcing, since this process is done manually or by using bar codes and scanning devices. Smart-tag can be the alternative to such n time-consuming and inefficient operation, especially for handling piles of goods. The tag includes a micro-chip containing data which is remotely readable by readers with antenna. Logistics system with Smart tag can provide all the information anywhere and anytime, and it will increase the efficiency of logistics and satisfaction of users. In this paper, we propose a conceptual architecture for smart-tag based logistics system and describe its functions.

ularly, a points of view Health-care system, it can reduce costs and efforts in order to management of patients. However, Health-care system keep a level of service for person and extends of hospital inner parts system. Although the rate of an addict grow by alcoholic but it is difficult to manage and diagnosis because of patient data gathering. Therefore in this thesis, it is proposed to patient data gathering and monitering method in u-zone. It can collect patient data by pulse, temperature and acceleration sensor and it can diagnosis correct based on emotion change data.

The purpose of the present study is to find the light intensity which induces maximum gathering rate and to observe the variation of the gathering rate both in' daytime and at night by using two species of commercial fishes: rock bream, Oplegnathus fasciatus(Temminet et Schlegel) and glass-puffer,\ulcorner Fugu.niphobles (Jordan \ulcorneret. Snyder). An experimental tank($360L{\times}50W{\times}55H cm$) was set up in a dark room. An illumination system was attached to one end of the tank to control horizontal light intensity. Six artificial light sources were prepared by combination of two light bulbs (5W, 150W) and seven filters. During the. experiment water depth was maintained 50 em level in the tank. The tank was marked into six longitudinal sections each, being 60 cm long to observe the distribution of fish. The fish were acclimatized in dark condition for 40 minutes prior to the main experiment. Upon turning on the light, the number of fish in each section was counted40 times every 30 seconds, and the gathering rates were obtain from th~ average number of. fish' in each section. The light intensity inducing maximum gathering rate is as follows: rock bream: 162.0 lux (104,3--238, 1 lux) (day), 162.0 lux (104.3--238.1 lux) (night). grass puffer: 16.6 lux (10.6--24.5 lux) (day), 1. 9 lux (1. 2-2. 9 lUX) (night). Trend .of the gathering rate in illumination time revealed different results in two fish species. Gathering rate of rock bream showed the increasing trend fluctuately with the lapse of ' illumination time. However, that of grass puffer showed the increasing trend gradually at the early period of the illumination time and the uniform trend at the latter period with little distictive fluctuation.
Based on the Merritt-Cummins system, the Korean immature aquatic and semiaquatic insects were reviewed and categorized into 6 different functional feeding groups (FFG) at the generic levels (257 genera belonging to 96 families, 10 orders),Among 257 genera, the most abundant FFG was the predator type consisting of 122(47%) genera. The second and third major groups were gathering-collectors (33genera, 13%) and shredders (21, 8%), respectively. Next group was occupied by scrapers (20,7%), and followed by filtering-collectors (12,5%) and plant-piercers (6, 2%). In addition, a total of 43 genera in 7 orders were remained as uncategorized groups. Both relative degrees of resistance and resilience of each genus were also analyzed to evaluate the role of each FFG in maintaining community stability. The results elucidated that the gathering-collectors and the scrapers could play a role as a pioneer group and a functional mediator in the community, respectively. The results also indicated that the practical use of relative resistance and resilience degrees could be applied to conduct comprehensive studies in stream ecosystems.
This paper has implemented a ubiquitous healthcare system that can measure and check the electrocardiogram of a human body in anytime and anywhere. The implemented prototype is composed of electrocardiogram measurement terminal, data gathering base node, and medical information server. The implemented node constructs a sensor network using the Zigbee protocol and the TinyOS is installed on each node. The data gathering base node is linux-based node that can transfer sensed medial data through wireless LAN. And, the medical information server stores the processed medical data and can promptly notify the urgent status to the connected medical team. Through experiment, we confirmed the possibility of ubiquitous healthcare system based on sensor network using the Zigbee.

Advances of telecommunication technology bring various changes in journalism field. Reporters started to gather, edit, and transmit content to main server in media company using hand-held smart media and notebook computer. This paper tried to testify valid bit-rate of visual news content using LTE network and mobile phone. Field news like natural disasters need real-time transmission of video content. But broadcasting company normally use heavy ENG system and transmission satellite trucks. We prepared and experimented different types of visual content that has different bit-rates. Transmission tool was LU-60HD mobile system of LiveU Corporation. Transmission result shows that bit-rate of 2Mbps news content is not suitable for broadcasting and VBR (Variable Bit Rate) transmission has better definition quality than CBR (Constant Bit Rate) method. Three different bit-rate of VBR transmission result shows that 5Mbps clip has better quality than 1Mbps and 3Mbps. The higher bit-rate, the better video quality. But if the content has much movements, that cause delay and abnormal quality of video. So optimizing the balance between stability of signal and quality of bit-rate is crucial factor of real-time broadcasting news gathering business.

The scale of a natural disaster grows bigger and bigger every year. The government spends much of its budget on recovering the resulting damage on a national scale. It is important to shift the paradigm from taking measures after a disaster to that of taking preventive actions before a disaster in order to bring a fundamental resolution to such problems. In taking preventive actions and policies, it is necessary to integrate various kinds of advanced technologies including IT, high-tech information gathering technology and operational technology, and to predict and evaluate natural disasters on a comprehensive level. Although Korea is a country with a strong IT sector, most information gathering is still performed in paper. In particular, information about the areas of previous landslide occurrences and slopes remains on paper, which makes it difficult to share the information and to discern the contents, and also raises the possibility of missing documents. Thus this study set out to develop an information gathering and management system for cutting slopes using PDA from the perspective of information gathering, system compatibility, and information management. As a result, field information may be gathered in a variety of forms (location, photos, and texts) real-time. A rough judgment was also made of the stability of rock slopes using the SMR method on the field.
A user with a specific information need will often need to query several search engines before finding relevant documents. To address the problem of navigating the search engines, agents are used. In general, an agent is a program that can perform a particular task automatically, when appropriate or upon request by another program. In this paper, we design and implement the education information search system for children: using Information gathering agent that is called Edulnfo4k. The information gathering agent periodically visits several portal web sites for children: Ggureogi of Yahoo Korea, Junior of Naver and Gaegujaengi of Hanmir, collects the education or learning information for children, stores the collected information into database. Then, causal users can search the education information for children from database through a uniform user interface, conveniently. As the result, we know that Edulnfo4k provides integrated search without query in several search engines.

Smart Highway is the intelligent highway that improves a traffic safety, reduces incidence of traffic accidents, and supports intelligent and convenient driving environment so that drivers can drive at high speeds in safety[1]. In order to implement the highway, it is required to gather a dangerous data such as obstacle, wild animal, disabled car, etc. To provide the situation information of the highway, it has been gathered traffic information using various sensors. However, this technique has problems such as the problems of various information gathering, lack of accuracy depending on weather conditions and limitation of maintenance. Therefore, in order to provide safe driving information to driver by gathering dangerous condition, radar system is needed. In this paper, we used a developing 34.5GHz RWR(Road Watch Radar) radar for gathering dangerous information and we verified performance of obstacle detecting and resolution through field test.
