Disney Animation has showed not only artistic excellence but also technological innovations through a lot of animation films that they released. Especially with the unique concept that free-willed game characters dive into different worlds of games in animation film, received both critical and commercial acclaim for its stunning visuals and outstanding CG (computer graphics) effects. The purpose of this study is to analyze different styles of game worlds, Disney's layout pipeline, and in-house camera capture system used in . This paper analyzes that three game worlds in this film such as Fix-It Felix Jr., Sugar Rush, and Hero's Duty express different styles by using appropriate character animation and camera movements. Especially Hero's Duty game which new in-house camera capture system is extensively used maximizes unseen visuals by perfectly making realistic and believable game world. Disney's newly developed in-house camera capture system, which is used in this film for the first time, allows real camera's motion and shake and real-time camera's movement and correction within animation set. Result of this study proves that this system improves directing of feature animation and enhance efficiency of the layout department's production process. Therefore, it contributes to a great extent to development of animation films' business.

Everyone can easily acquire learning materials on web environment that rapidly develops. Because the importance of English education has been emphasized day by day, many English education systems are introduced. However, previous most English education systems support only single user mode, and cannot deal with a newly coined word such as 'WIKIPEDIA'. In order to lead a user's learning ability with interest and enjoyment, this paper propose an online English word game system implementing a 'scrabble' board game. The proposed English word game system has the following characteristics. First, the proposed system supports both single user mode and multi user mode with a virtual user based on artificial intelligence. Second, the proposed system can recognize newly coined words such as 'WIKIPEDIA' by using NEVER Open API dictionary. Third, the proposed system offers familiar user interface so that a user can play the game without any manual. Therefore, it is expected that the proposed system can help users to learn English words with interest and enjoyment.

In this paper, we proposed a new approach of machine learning based method for detecting game-bots from normal players in MMORPG by inspecting the player's action log data especially in-game money increasing/decreasing event log data. DBSCAN (Density Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise), an one of density based clustering algorithms, is used to extract the attributes of spatial characteristics of each players such as a number of clusters, a ratio of core points, member points and noise points. Most of all, even game-bot developers know principles of this detection system, they cannot avoid the system because moving a wide area to hunt the monster is very inefficient and unproductive. As the result, game-bots show definite differences from normal players in spatial characteristics such as very low ratio, less than 5%, of noise points while normal player's ratio of noise points is high. In experiments on real action log data of MMORPG, our game-bot detection system shows a good performance with high game-bot detection accuracy.
Recently the unprecedented progress of Android platform and Google Play has brought more opportunities for individual mobile game developers. When playing an Android 3D game, users can accidentally hit HOME Key or BACK Key or receive an incoming message. Subsequently, another screen will appear on top and make the game application lose focus, or the operating system pause that game. These interruption events may also lead to the loss of game information or the game runs out of user control if that game cannot catch interruption events itself and resume at the exact time. As same as other mobile platforms, Android platform also provides Activity Lifecycle methods to help the game application control interruption problems. However, these methods are not adequate to solve all the interruption events. By implementing ANDCube game, we examine most of the possible interruption cases and propose some solutions to help Android game developers avoid some common interruption cases. Concurrently, we show the ways how a game application can catch all unavoidable interruption events and effectively resume from interruption to obtain a high quality game.
The objective of this study is to extract affecting factors on game satisfaction of a mobile game through the two mediated variables, self-fulfillment and flow. To apply mobile environment changed into the research model of a mobile game, we classify independent factors into three types such as system characteristics, cognitive characteristics, and individual characteristics. The previous studies for using mobile game have been based on intrinsic motivation, such as flow, as a mediated factor. However, the flow variable has some limitations in explaining user satisfaction aspects of mobile game, and the self-fulfillment variable is popularly used as an important mediated factor in the field of sports science. Because users of mobile game often attain their goals as sports event, we utilize self-fulfillment as well as flow as mediated variables. We developed a research model that includes independent factors, mediated variables of self-fulfillment and flow, and a dependent variable of game satisfaction. The data were collected from 438 users of mobile game and were used for analysis. Based on the survey results, we found the followings: (1) Immediate connectivity, enjoyment, relationship, early adopter tendency, and competitiveness affect self-fulfillment, and self-fulfillment affects the flow. (2) Enjoyment and competitiveness affect self-fulfillment, flow, and game satisfaction simultaneously.
Online games are virtual space where it connects individual users through network connection to offer enjoyment of play games and game developer who service online games have to develop new contents and provide them to users to extend life of their service. Typically, in order to update new contents, all service companies have maintenance schedule to stop the game service for a while to update both server and client applications. Usually this process takes quite amount of time and users do not have any other choice but disconnected from server and wait until it is over. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the advantages of new design system which will allows users to continue to play the game even during the update. The main focus of this design is to make users feel more convenience in online gaming experience by move client from previous server to new server while users are still playing. If they can to connect current client with new server without any certificate validation process while users information from the client can automatically pass through to the new server, users may not need to experience maintenance for new contents update.
In this paper we present the multi-agent robot system developed for participating in micro robot soccer tournament. The multi-agent robot system consists of micro robot, a vision system, a host computer and a communication module. Mcro robot are equipped with two mini DC motors with encoders and gearboxes, a R/F receiver, a CPU and infrared sensors for obstacle detection. A vision system is used to recognize the position of the ball and opponent robots, position and orientation of our robots. The vision system is composed of a color CCD camera and a vision processing unit. Host computer is a Pentium PC, and it receives information from the vision system, generates commands for each robot using a robot management algorithm and transmits commands to the robots by the R/F communication module. And in order to achieve a given mission in micro robot soccer game, cooperative behaviors by robots are essential. Cooperative work between individual agents is achieved by the command of host computer.
Many computer game developers and marketers have adopted diverse internet technologies to raise customers' interest in their websites and communities in order to take fragmentary customers' information. In this paper, we suggest why and how CRM(customer relationship management) could be effectively applied to game industry. CRM system is a systematic management model which properly manages the interactive information drawn between customers and the games. This study on CRM system in games covers 1) components of CRM, 2) customers' features in games, 3) CRM's application in games.

Participatory sensing is becoming popular and has shown its great potential in data acquisition for ambient assisted living. In this paper, we propose an incentive mechanism in participatory sensing for ambient assisted living, which benefits both the platform and the mobile devices that participated in the sensing task. Firstly, we analyze the profit of participant and platform, and a Stackelberg game model is formulated. The model takes privacy, reputation, power state and quality of data into consideration, and aims at maximizing the profit for both participant and publisher. The discussion of properties of the game show that there exists an unique Stackelberg equilibrium. Secondly, two algorithms are given: one describes how to reach the Stackelberg equilibrium and the other presents the procedures of employing the incentive strategy. Finally, we conduct simulations to evaluate the properties and effectiveness of the proposed mechanism. Simulation results show that the proposed incentive mechanism works well, and the participants and the publisher will be benefitted from it. With the mechanism, the total amount of sensory data can be maximized and the quality of the data can be guaranteed effectively.
