  • This paper presents a relaxed stability condition for continuous-time affine fuzzy system using fuzzy Lyapunov function. In the previous studies, stability conditions for the affine fuzzy system based on quadratic Lyapunov function have a conservativeness. The stability condition is considered by using the fuzzy Lyapunov function, which has membership functions in the traditional Lyapunov function. Based on Lyapunov-stability theory, the stability condition for affine fuzzy system is derived and represented to linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). And slack matrix is added to stability condition for the relaxed stability condition. Finally, simulation example is given to illustrate the merits of the proposed method.

  • Due to the influence of nonlinearity and time-variation, it is difficult to establish an accurate model of concrete frame structures that adopt active controllers. Fuzzy theory is a relatively appropriate method but susceptible to human subjective experience to decrease the performance. This paper proposes a novel artificial intelligence based EBA (Evolved Bat Algorithm) controller with machine learning matched membership functions in the complex nonlinear system. The proposed affine transformed membership functions are adopted and stabilization and performance criterion of the closed-loop fuzzy systems are obtained through a new parametrized linear matrix inequality which is rearranged by machine learning affine matched membership functions. The trajectory of the closed-loop dithered system and that of the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system can be made as close as desired. This enables us to get a rigorous prediction of stability of the closed-loop dithered system by establishing that of the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system.

  • This paper deals with the problem of the global stabilization for a class of tension leg platform (TLP) nonlinear control systems. Problem and objective: Based on the relaxed method, the chaotic system can be stabilized by regulating appropriately the parameters of dither. Scope and method: If the frequency of dither is high enough, the trajectory of the closed-loop dithered chaotic system and that of its corresponding model-the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system can be made as close as desired. Results and conclusion: The behavior of the closed-loop dithered chaotic system can be rigorously predicted by establishing that of the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system.

  • This paper presents the development of digital robust fuzzy controller for uncertain nonlinear systems. The proposed approach is based on the intelligent digital redesign(IDR) method with considering the relaxed stability condition of fuzzy control system. The term IDR in the concerned system is to convert an existing analog robust control into an equivalent digital counterpart in the sense of the state-matching. We shows that the IDR problem can be reduced to find the digital fuzzy gains minimizing the norm distance between the closed-loop states of the analog and digital robust control systems. Its constructive conditions are expressed as the linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) and thereby easily tractable by the convex optimization techniques. Based on the nonquadratic Lyapunov function, the robust stabilization conditions are given for the sampled-data fuzzy system, and hence less conservative. A numerical example, chaotic Lorentz system, is demonstrated to visualize the feasibility of the proposed methodology.

  • The main purpose of this paper, by using the resolvent operator technique associated with randomly (A, ${\eta}$, m)-accretive operator is to establish an existence and convergence theorem for a class of system of random nonlinear equations with fuzzy mappings in Banach spaces. Our works are improvements and generalizations of the corresponding well-known results.

  • In this paper, a linear matrix inequality-based sampled-data fuzzy observer design method is proposed based on the exact discretization approach. In the proposed design technique, a numerically relaxed observer design condition is obtained by using the discrete-time fuzzy Lyapunov function. Unlike the existing studies, the designed observer is robust to the uncertain premise variable because the fuzzy observer is designed under the imperfect premise matching condition, in which the membership functions of the system and observer are mismatched. In addition, we apply the proposed method to the state estimation problem of the attitude and heading reference system (AHRS). To do this, we derive a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model for the AHRS system, and validate the proposed method through the hardware experiment.

  • In this paper, a novel computational approach for the stability analysis of the linguistic fuzzy system is proposed. The suggested analysis method is easily implemented by the recently spotlighted convex optimization techniques called Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI). Compared with the previous works, the new method proposed herein is more relaxed and is applicable to not only the stabilization problem but also to the set-point regulation problem. Finally, the applicability of the suggested methodology is highlighted via computer simulations.

  • In this paper, a controller for discrete Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model under imperfect premise matching is proposed. Most of previous papers have obtained the stabilization condition using common quadratic Lyapunov function. However, the stabilization condition may be conservative due to the typical disadvantage of the common quadratic Lyapunov function. Hence, in order to solve this problem, we propose the stabilization condition of discrete T-S fuzzy model using fuzzy Lyapunov function. Finally, the proposed approach is verified by the simulation experiments.
