A Study on Graphene Oxide and Carboxylated Styrene-Butadiene Rubber(XSBR) Nanocomposites (그래핀 옥사이드/카르복실화한 스티렌-부타디엔 고무 나노 복합체에 관한 연구)

  • Graphene oxide (GO)/carboxylated styrene-butadiene rubber (XSBR) nanocomposites with various contents of GO were prepared by a latex compounding method. It has been confirmed that the functional groups of GO and the hydrogen bonds between GO and XSBR are existed. It can be seen that the scorch time ($t_{s2}$), which is the measurement of incipient vulcanization of rubber, showed a delay after the addition of GO. Field emission scanning electron microscopy was employed to confirm the uniform dispersion of filler in the matrix. Indeed, with increasing fillers loading, the torque, tensile strength, thermal stability and crosslink density of obtained nanocomposites were improved. These results were correlated to the better dispersion of fillers through the rubber matrix.

  • In the case of redundancy control performed by a netowrk management system, it can not be ignored some delay of control time and break of control by failure of the system. This paper proposed a new method to improve the performacne of a redundancy control system interfaced to the network management system. At first, it produced the modelling of the total system and analyzed the functional relation of reliability and failure rate for a transmission system having an one-to-one active redundancy structure controlled by itself. After describing the loss rate of transmission data and the time required for the redundancy control process of the network management system when a failure is occurred, it proposed the new redundancy method of complex system control mode as an effective redundancy control method to improve reliability of a redundancy control system. Finally, it proved the effect by comparing the new result to the previous result.

  • In this paper, a design method for sequential circuit which is easy to have Built-in Self Test is kproposed using the functional advantages of multifunctional BILBO and LSSD. To achieve the hardware reduction, it is designed that a multifunctional BILBO has double operational functions of NLFSR and LFSR, when neccessary, and that test signal could be used as an input-output signal in the same line. By applying the proposed multifunctional BILBO to the sequential PLA, the test patterns and the additional circuit could be reduced in test operation and the propagation delay is vanished in normal operation, as we expected. Above them, the partitioned method for large scale sequential circuit is also suggested and it is observed that test patterns and additional circuit in them reduced by this method.

  • This paper presents an efficient dynamic programming(DP) method, so called EDPAS (Efficient Dynamic Programming Algorithm for Signal), for optimally controlling traffic signal in real-time mode at a single intersection. The objective of EDPAS is to minimize total vehicle delay. It applies reaching method to solve forward DP functional equation, which does not need any priori knowledge on the states of DP network. Two acceleration techniques within reaching method are the main feature of EDPAS. They are devised to eliminate inferior DP states by comparing between states and maintaining incumbent value, resulting in a great amount of computational efficiency. An example is shown to verify the advantage of EDPAS.

  • 최근 AC-PDP의 효율향상을 위해 MgO Protective Layer 위에 별도의 기능막(Functional Layer)을 적용하고 있으며 기능막의 재료로는 MgO 나노 입자를 사용하고 있다. 그러나 장시간 구동시 AC-PDP Panel 내에서 Plasma 방전에 의하여 MgO Protective Layer와 기능막이 방전 공간에 형성 된 이온에 의해 Sputtering 또는 재 증착 될 수 있다. 본 실험에서는 기능막이 적용된 AC-PDP Test Panel을 제작하여 장시간 구동 후 MgO Protective Layer와 기능막인 MgO 나노 입자의 재형성된 형태를 주사 전자 현미경(Scanning Electron Microscope)을 통해 Surface Profile 및 구조의 변화를 분석하고, 또한 음극선 분광 분석(Cathodoluminascence)을 통하여 방전 영역과 비방전 영역의 delay time, 방전전압 및 효율 등의 전기 광학적 특성과의 관계를 분석하고자 한다.

  • Dementia is a clinical syndrome characterized by progressive impairment of cognitive and functional abilities. As currently applied treatments for dementia can only delay the progression of dementia and cannot fundamentally cure it, much attention is being paid to reducing its incidence by preventing the associated risk factors. Cardiovascular and metabolic diseases are well-known risk factors for dementia, and many studies have attempted to prevent dementia by treating these risk factors. Growing evidence suggests that sex-based factors may play an important role in the pathogenesis of dementia. Therefore, a deeper understanding of the differences in the effects of drugs based on sex may help improve their effectiveness. In this study, we reviewed sex differences in the impact of therapeutics targeting risk factors for dementia, such as cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, to prevent the incidence and/or progression of dementia.

  • T-lymphocytic intestinal leiomyositis is a rare cause of "pediatric intestinal pseudo-obstructions." Diagnosis may be difficult and requires full-thickness bowel biopsies during laparotomy or laparoscopy with possible enterostomy. Currently, immunosuppressive therapy is the only available treatment. A delay in diagnosis and therapy may negatively affect the prognosis because of ongoing fibrotic alterations; therefore, early diagnosis and consequent treatment are crucial. This review summarizes the available information on the nosology, diagnostic steps, and treatment modalities. Here, we report the youngest case of enteric leiomyositis reported in the last two decades and analyze its management by reviewing previous cases.

  • In this paper, the traffic control scheme used by M-cancel-Get services In CMIS /CMIP, OSI network management protocol, is presented and the performance is analyzed. M -Get service which allows a multiple response functional unit is a service that searches an attribute of the managed sys-tem and the service requires a large quantity of response as its typical characteristics. At the time, management response is transmitted Irrelevant to the network condition In the managed as well as In the management system. The management system requests M Canrel-Get service which informs the canrelation of M -Get service (or Information retrieval. In case of using M-Cancel-Get service for traffic control, the point of time for traffic control is propose by the result of simulation on management response time as the number of multiple response packets is Increased. The result is analyzed by processing ratio of the network workload and the average delay time of packets. As a result, the traffic control parameters proposed in the study show superiority in its processing ratio and the average packet delay time. Especially, its performance improves as the size of background traffic density Increase.

  • The simulator described here-LOSIM(LOgic SIMulator)-was developed to verify the logic design for VLSI(Very Large Scale Integrated) circuits at mixed level. In this paper, we present a modeling approach to obtain more accurate results than conventional logic simulators [5-6,9] for general elements, functional elements, transmission gates and tri-state gates using eight signal values and two gignal strengths. LOSIM has the capability which can perform timing and hazard analysis by using assignable rise and fall delays. We also prosent an efficient algorithm to accurately detectdynamic and static hazards which may be caused by the circuit delays. Our approach is based on five logic values and the scheduled time. LOSIM has been implemented on a UN-3/160 workstation running Berkeley 4.2 UNIX, and the program is written in C language. Static RAM cell and asynchronous circuit are illustrated as an example.

  • A child with five delay, five ankylosis, five weakening needs to take herbal medicine for a long term. So safety, efficacy inspection for the long term usage of herbal medicine and mixed dose is needed because other medication or functional health foods, etc could be taken during this process. Operated liver function test before and after dosing herbal medicine to one hundred and sixty children who aided private oriental medicine located in Seoul, and measured the efficacy by comparing sleeping hours, morbidity, stamina, sanguineness, personality, digestion with the state before taking herbal medicine based on questionnaire done by the parents. Every children were under the limits, and there were no differences between boys and girls, and no notable differences according to family histories. There were positive results in efficacy inspection ordered as improvement in personality, stamina, sanguineness, decrease in morbidity, increase in appetite, digestion. No signs of disorder in liver function has been found during the dose of herbal medicine or simultaneous medicine, and shown promotion of health.
