In this paper, we design a robust multi-objective track-following controller that satisfies transient response specifications and diminishes the influence of sinusoidal disturbance. To this end, a robust control problem with the multiple constraints is considered. We show that a sufficient condition satisfying the robust control problem can be expressed by linear matrix inequalities. Finally, the robust track-following controller can be designed by solving an LMI optimization problem. The effectiveness of the proposed controller design method is verified though experiments.
A control panel layout method based on the constraint satisfaction problem(CSP) technique was developed to generate an ergonomically sound panel design. This control panel layout method attempts to incorporate a variety of relevant ergonomic principles and design constrains, and generate an optimal or, at least, a "satisfactory" solution through the efficient search algorithm. The problem of seeking an ergonomically sound panel design should be viewed as a multiple criteria problem, and most of the design objectives should be understood as constraints. Hence, a CSP technique was employed in this study for dealing with the multi-constraiants layout problem. The efficient search algorithm using "preprocess" and "look ahead" procedures was developed to handle the vast amount of computational effort. In order to apply the CSP technique to the panel layout procedure, the ergonomic principles such as spatial compatibility, frequency-of- use, importance, functional grouping, and sequence-of-use were formalized as CSP terms. The effectiveness of the developed panel layout method was evaluated by example problems, and the results clearly showed that the generated layouts took various ergonomic design principles into account.esign principles into account.
This study examined the impact of sonority profiles, positional differences and L2 proficiency on Korean EFL learners' perception of English biconsonantal clusters, using nonce words. The overall results showed that major predictions of the sonority-based typological markedness on consonant clusters were supported, as obstruent plus sonorant and sonorant plus obstruent sequences were better perceived than obstruent only or sonorant only sequences. Yet, some consonant clusters did not show a preference for sonority profiles. Positional effects were also confirmed, as word-initial biconsonantal clusters were better perceived than wordfinal ones across all the participant groups. Participants' English proficiency turned out to be also important in the perception of consonant clusters, since university students' mean rate of accuracy was highest, followed by that of high school students, which in turn followed by that of middle school students. Further, the effects of other factors like frequency and stimuli on speech perception were also addressed, along with some implications for future research.

This paper provides the basic theory and numerical results of shell design optimization considering the appearance of close natural frequencies in optimization process. In this study the fundamental natural frequency to be maximized is considered as the objective function and the initial volume of structures is used as the constraint function. In addition, the constraints related to natural frequency is also adopted to avoid the natural frequency closeness phenomenon during the optimization iteration. The Coon's patch is used to represent the shape and thickness distribution of shells. A degenerated shell finite element is adopted to calculate the fundamental natural frequency of the shells. The SQP available in the optimizer DoT is used to search optimum solution. From numerical results, the introduction of the frequency constraint into shell design optimization can deeply affect on the final optimum shape of shells although it is likely to be used to avoid the frequency closeness phenomenon.
The optimum design of structures with frequency constraints is of great importance in the aeronautical industry. In order to avoid severe vibration, it is necessary to shift the fundamental frequency of the structure away from the frequency range of the dynamic loading. This paper develops a novel topology optimisation method for optimising the fundamental frequencies of structures. The finite element dynamic eigenvalue problem is solved to derive the sensitivity function used for the optimisation criteria. An alternative material interpolation scheme is developed and applied to the optimisation problem. A novel level-set criteria and updating routine for the weighting factors is presented to determine the optimal topology. The optimisation algorithm is applied to a simple two-dimensional plane stress plate to verify the method. Optimisation for maximising a chosen frequency and maximising the gap between two frequencies are presented. This has the application of stiffness maximisation and flutter suppression. The results of the optimisation algorithm are compared with the state of the art in frequency topology optimisation. Test cases have shown that the algorithm produces similar topologies to the state of the art, verifying that the novel technique is suitable for frequency optimisation.

Purpose: Grain slurry diet are described as food obtained from ground grain paste. They serve as highly nutritious food for both adults and infants in Nigeria because of their immense nutritive and economical value. However, the production of these grain slurry diets is confronted with challenges that have hampered their commercialization. This study examines the trends and constraints of grain slurry food processing in Kaduna State. Methods: A survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire to elicit information from 192 selected processors, including both men and women. The survey was structured in line with the study objectives. The information was collated and synopsized into frequency distribution. Results: These findings revealed that 80% of the respondents processed between 1.0 tons and 13.0 tons of grain slurry per month. More than 90% of the processors processed grain slurry into koko, kunu, agidi, and pito. Accordingly, 80% of the interviewed processors indicated that sieving is one of the major constraints. Furthermore, inadequate modern machinery required to perform this operation makes it highly discouraging. One of the major challenges faced by the grain slurry producers in Nigeria is the lack of processing machinery for most operations (39.1%), followed by the tedious processing nature (27.1%), high labor cost (18.1%), and lack of market (9.4%). The traditional method of grain slurry processing was more popular than using modern equipment, except milling (96.5%), which is the only mechanized unit operation in grain slurry processing. Conclusion: Grain slurry processing and marketing were found to be profitable. However, these limitations could extremely reduce the level of grain slurry production, processing, and economic returns, thereby affecting the general wellbeing of the processors. The study also raised concerns about the safety and hygiene associated with traditionally processed grain slurry diets in the investigated areas.
This study is based on the Korean-Chinese parallel corpus, utilizing the Korean connective morpheme '-myenseo' and contrasting with the Chinese expression. Korean learners often struggle with the use of Korean Connective Morpheme especially when there is a lexical gap between their mother language. '-myenseo' is of the most use Korean Connective Morpheme, it usually contrast to the Chinese coordinating conjunction. But according to the corpus, the contrastive Chinese expression to '-myenseo' is more than coordinating conjunction. So through this study, can help the Chinese Korean language learners learn easier while studying '-myenseo', because the variety Chinese expression are found from the parallel corpus that related to '-myenseo'. In this study, firstly discussed the semantic features and syntactic characteristics of '-myenseo'. The significant semantic features of '-myenseo' are 'simultaneous' and 'conflict'. So in this chapter the study use examples of usage to analyse the specific usage of '-myenseo'. And then this study analyse syntactic characteristics of '-myenseo' through the subject constraint, predicate constraints, temporal constraints, mood constraints, negatives constraints. then summarize them into a table. And the most important part of this study is Chapter 4. In this chapter, it contrasted the Korean connective morpheme '-myenseo' to the Chinese expression by analysing the Korean-Chinese parallel corpus. As a result of the analysis, the frequency of the Chinese expression that contrasted to '-myenseo' is summarized into
. It can see from the table that the most common Chinese expression comparative to '-myenseo' is non-marker patterns. That means the connection of sentence in Korean can use connective morpheme what is a clarifying linguistic marker, but in Chinese it often connect the sentence by their intrinsic logical relationships. So the conclusion of this chapter is that '-myenseo' can be comparative to Chinese conjunction, expression, non-marker patterns and liberal translation patterns, which are more than Chinese conjunction that discovered before. In the last Chapter, as the conclusion part of this study, it summarized and suggest the limitations and the future research direction.

The study aimed to effect of leisure support and leisure constraints on life satisfaction for extreme sports participants. A total of 368 adults from Seoul, In-chon, Gyeonggi, and Chungcheng-do were recruited. I conducted frequency, reliability, confirmatory factor, correction, and structure equaling modeling analyses using PASW Statistics 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results were as follows: (1) leisure support of extreme sport participants has no influence on leisure constraints; (2) leisure support of extreme sport participants had no influence on life satisfaction; (3) leisure constrain of extreme sports had a positive influence on life satisfaction. The article revealed which sport activity as like leisure activity had influence on life satisfaction, and leisure support of participants were related with life satisfaction. Therefore, we continue need to induce to join a extreme sport as it publicize a good benefits for extreme sport.
As a check on calibration and drift in each discrete sub-system of a commercial frequency-domain airborne electromagnetic system, we aim to use causality constraints alone to predict in-phase from wide-band quadrature data. There are several possible applications of the prediction of in-phase response from quadrature data including: (1) quality control on base level drift, calibration and phase checks; (2) prediction and validation of noise levels in in-phase from quadrature measurements and vice versa and in future; and (3) interpolation and extrapolation of sparsely sampled data enforcing causality and better frequency-domain-time-domain transformations. In practice, using tests on both synthetic and measured Resolve helicopter-borne electromagnetic frequency domain data, in-phase data points could be predicted using a scaled Hilbert transform with a standard deviation between 40 and 80 ppm. However, relative differences between base levels between flight could be resolved to better than 1 ppm, which allows an independent quality control check on the accuracy of drift corrections.

With the limited frequency spectrum and an increasing demand for cellular communication services, the problem of channel assignment becomes increasingly important. However, finding a conflict free channel assignment with the minimum channel span is NP hard. The innovations are cellular concept, dynamic channel assignment and hierarchical network design. We consider the frequency assignment problem and the base station placement simultaneously. Our model takes the candidate locations emanating from this process and the cost of assigning a frequency, operating and maintaining equipment as an input. Hierarchical network design using genetic algorithm is the first three-tier (Macro, Micro, Pico) model. We increase the reality through applying to Electromagnetic Compatibility Constraints. Computational experiments on 72 problem instances which have $15{\sim}40$ candidate locations demonstrate the computational viability of our procedure. The result of experiments increases the reality and covers 90% of the demand.
