본 연구는 관제기 관립 외국어학교의 교육사적 의미를 정리하기 위한 것으로, 이 시기 설립 운영된 6개 관립 외국어학교의 교사진 특성과 학생수 변화를 통해 당시 외국어교육 정책과 외국어학교간 비교우위를 살펴보고자 한다. 1894년 갑오개혁을 통해 과거제와 신분제를 폐지한 조선에서 외국어 교육은 근대적 문물 습득과 사회적 지위 상승을 위한 문화자본이었다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 관제기의 외국어학교는 당대 최고 수준의 교육기관이었다. 입학연령은 15세 이상 23세 이하였지만 실제 입학생들 대부분은 20세 이상이었다. 둘째, 관제기 외국어학교의 몇몇 교사 중에는 군사와 외교, 기술 분야 전문가도 있었다. 특히 법어학교 교사 마르텔은 대한제국 시기 중립외교 정책을 전개하는 데에 중요한 역할을 하였다. 셋째, 외국어학교의 학생 모집은 당시의 정치적 사회적 분위기에 많은 영향을 받았다. 넷째, 관제기 관립 외국어학교의 입학생 통계를 보면 한어학교, 법어학교, 영어학교의 순으로 비중이 높으며, 이는 당시 재학생 통계상 영어학교와 일어학교에 학생들이 집중된다는 일반적인 주장과는 다른 결과이다. 다섯째, 관제기 관립 외국어학교는 역관통사를 양성할 뿐만 아니라 경세가가 될 수 있는 문무 관료를 양성하였다.

기존의 중국 유학생의 대학생활에 대한 연구는 한국에 재학 중인 중국유학생을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였지만, 중국 유학생들은 한국 대학에 대하여 소속감과 대학에 대한 선입견을 가지고 있어서 객관성이 심히 우려된다. 이에 본 논문은 중국의 일반인을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 유학생 유치와 관련한 매체탐색을 수행하였다. 외국인 유학생 모두가 한국어에 능숙한 것은 아니다. 심지어 한국어 교육원에서 1년 이상의 교육을 이수하거나 한국어능력시험(TOPIK) 고급을 합격한 학생들조차, 일상생활에서 말하기와 학위를 취득하기에 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 본 연구결과에 의하면, 국내 대학들은 외국학생 유치를 위해서, 한국어능력이 부족한 외국인 유학생이 한국에서의 문화적응과 정보습득이 능숙하게 할 때까지, 그들의 모국어로 유학생활에 필요한 학업정보나 일상정보를 얻을 수 있도록 다국어가 지원되는 콘텐츠 서비스를 준비하는 것이 바람직하다.

한국 대학생들의 외국어 어휘 학습에 미치는 부적 정서(상태-특성 불안, 우울)와 작업기억의 영향을 조사하였다. 또한 이것이 외국어 어휘 학습 콘텐츠 개발에 함의하는 바가 무엇인지를 알아보았다. 이를 위하여 132명에게 상태-특성 불안, 우울, 그리고 네 종류의 작업기억 검사를 실시하였다. 또한 참가자들로 하여금-특정 외국어에 대한 개인 간의 차이를 최소화하고자-처음 보는 스와힐리어 단어를 학습하도록 하였다. 참가자들의 상태-특성 불안과 우울의 평균은 정상 수준이었다. 구조방정식모형에서 부적 정서에서 외국어 학습으로의 직접효과는 없었으며, 부적 정서에서 작업기억으로의 직접효과와 작업기억에서 외국어 학습으로의 직접효과는 유의미하였다. 이는 부적 정서에 의한 작업기억의 손상이 외국어 어휘 학습의 부진으로 이어질 수 있음을 의미하였다. 이를 바탕으로 대학생들을 위한 외국어 어휘 학습 콘텐츠를 개발할 때에, 학습자의 부적인 정서를 고려해야 할 필요성과 작업기억의 부담을 최소화해야 할 필요성을 제기하였다.

이 연구에서는 외국어 고등학교의 화학 I 수업에서 거꾸로 수업의 효과를 탐색하였다. 광역시에 소재한 외국어 고등학교의 1학년 176명(남학생 43명, 여학생 133명)을 대상으로 한 학기 동안 거꾸로 수업을 적용한 후 그 효과를 인지적·정의적 측면에서 조사하였다. 수업 전에 학생들에게 활동지를 제공하여 학습 내용을 요약하도록 하였고 수업 중에는 학생 참여형 활동을 진행하였다. 한 학기 동안 거꾸로 수업을 운영한 후, 중간고사 및 기말고사 점수를 분석하였고, 화학 교과 및 수업 방식에 대한 인식을 설문을 통해 조사하였다. 중간고사 및 기말고사 점수를 분석한 결과, 거꾸로 수업이 인지적 측면에서 효과적일 가능성을 보여주었으며, 화학 교과 및 거꾸로 수업에 대한 태도와 같이 정의적 측면에서도 긍정적인 인식이 조사되었다. 특히 학생들은 거꾸로 수업이 자기 주도 학습과 메타학습을 증진시켰다고 응답하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 교육학적 함의를 논의하였다.

The role that English currently plays is undeniable. It has become the most common means of communication among native speakers of several languages around the world. English penetrates into all areas of people's daily lives. In the field of Information Technology (IT), English has taken a dominant position, as many of the terms used on a daily basis are written in English. The purpose of the article is to analyze the linguistic features of anglicisms in the field of Information Technology. Methods. The research is based on systematic and comparative analysis, dialectical method, as well as methods of classification and generalization. Results. This study presents the results of compiling a multilingual glossary with anglicisms used in the GitHub and 3D Slicer fields. Despite the limited number of terms included in the glossary, the article provides a lot of evidence for the influence of the English language in the areas of Information Technology, GitHub and 3D Slicer under consideration. The types of anglicisms used in the 3D Slicer area seem to be more diverse than in the GitHub area. This study found that five European languages use language strategies to solve any communication problem. The multilingual glossary showed that in some cases there is a coexistence between Anglicism and the native term. In other cases, the English term is the only one used in different languages. There are cases when only the native language is used. Conclusions. This study is a useful tool that helps to improve the efficiency of communication between engineers and technicians who speak different native languages. The ultimate goal of this research will be to create a multilingual glossary that is still under development and is likely to cover other IT areas such as Python and VTK.

Objectives: This study analyzes factors related to English communication skills in the dental health services of clinical dental hygienists who provide dental medical services to foreigners. Methods: Surveys were conducted to measure students' English communication skills. Participants comprised 195 clinical dental hygienists working at dental English study cafes or who provided dental medical services to foreigners. After analyzing the differences in English communication skills, hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed on the factors related to English communication skills. Results: English communication skill of dental hygienists was 1.96 points out of 5 points. The factors related to the English communication skill of the clinical dental hygienists were foreign patient care, language training experience, overseas living experience, and certified English proficiency. The adjusted explanatory power of this model was 53.0%. Conclusions: Dental hygienists in charge of foreign patients have experience in language training and overseas residence, have a language qualification certificate, and have higher English communication skills. It is necessary to develop English language learning programs based on metaverse to develop the English communication skills of dental hygienists who provide dental health services to foreign patients and to operate a creative educational environment to increase interest in learning English.

본 연구는 SNS 텍스트에서 형태소 분석기로 분석되지 않는 비정규토큰 유형 중 고빈도로 나타나는 의존명사 내포 어형의 형태소를 인식할 수 있는 LGG 기반 패턴문법 사전 구축과 그 성능을 평가하는 것을 목표로 한다. SNS 텍스트에서는 기존의 정형화된 텍스트와 달리, 띄어쓰기 오류로 인한 미분석어가 매우 높은 빈도로 나타나는데, 특히 의존명사를 포함한 유형이 20% 이상을 차지하며 가장 빈번한 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구에서는 의존명사를 내포한 비정규토큰의 띄어쓰기 오류 문제를 효과적으로 처리하기 위해, 부분 문법 그래프(Local Grammar Graph: LGG) 프레임에 기반한 패턴문법 사전을 구축하였다. 이를 SNS 코퍼스에 적용하여 성능을 평가한 결과, 정확률 91.28%, 재현율 89%, 조화 평균 90.13%의 성능을 통해 본 연구의 접근 방법론의 유용성과 구축 자원의 실효성을 입증하였다.

This study investigates the difference in the evaluation of foreign-accentedness of English pronunciation across subject groups, evaluated accents, and compared components. This study independently evaluates the prosody and segmentals of the foreign-accented English sentences by pairwise difference rating. Using the prosody swapping technique, segmentals and prosody of the English sentences read by native speakers of American English (one male and one female) were combined with the corresponding segmentals and prosody of the English sentences read by male and female native speakers of Chinese, Japanese or Korean (one male and one female from each native language). These stimuli were evaluated by 4 different subject groups: native speakers of American English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. The results showed that the Japanese subject group scored higher in prosody difference than in segmental difference while the other groups scored the other way around. This study is significant in that the attitude toward the difference in segmentals and prosody of the foreign accents of English varies with the native language of the subject group. In other words, for native speakers of some languages, the difference in prosody could have a greater influence on the foreign-accentedness than the difference in segmentals, while for native speakers of other languages the other way around.

Purpose: This study aims to provide marketing implications for training and face-to-face service employee communication by analyzing how communication by Korean crews at foreign airlines affects passengers' perception and how this perception relates to airline service quality and customer satisfaction. Research design, data: The collection of questionnaires for the demonstration in this study has collected 300 questionnaires for about a month for Korean passengers who are aware of the presence of Korean crew on board aircraft. Results: The study analyzed the relationship between the communication ability, customer satisfaction, and reuse intention of foreign airlines. An empirical analysis of the relationship between quality of airline service, customer satisfaction, and intention of re-use can suggest the following implications based on the language and non-verbal communication capabilities of the Korean crew working for foreign airlines. Conclusions: We studied the impact of communication between Korean crews working for foreign airlines on the quality of airline service, customer satisfaction and reuse intention. The Korean crew should also work for overseas airlines and consider communication as important and expand their overall foreign language education and communication skills to have a positive impact on not only Korean passengers but also their own citizens.

본 연구는 외국어로서 한국어 연구 중에서 언어와 성의 문제를 분석하기 위하여 교육콘텐츠와 교사-학생의 인식의 관계를 조사하였으며, 또한 외국어 교육에 영향을 미치고 있는 성별언어의 역할을 연구하였다. 성별언어에 대한 교사의 인식과 교육콘텐츠에 대한 균형 있는 시각 및 교사, 학생의 소통은 언어습득의 효과적 결과를 가져올 수 있다. 19명의 교사와 71명의 학습자와의 인터뷰, 설문지 조사를 실시하여 교사는 89.4%가 여성언어가 존재함을 인정하였고, 학생은 49.6%가 성별언어에 대하여 차이점을 인식하고 있었다. 과거보다 언어가 중성화되고 았으며 굳이 남녀 성별언어를 구별하지 않는 이유는 여성의 사회활동 증가에 기언하는 사회적인 영향으로 보고 있었다. 그러므로 문화를 통한 언어교육이 교육콘텐츠의 역할이므로 경우와 시기에 따라 적절하게 이해되어야 할 필요가 있다. 아직 편향된 여성의 지위, 역할, 언어 등이 교재내용에 나타나 있으므로 이는 교사, 학생들의 이해와 수용이 필요하고 교육콘텐츠 개발에 반드시 반영되어야 할 부분이다.
