A slide-rail system is widely used in home appliances, furniture, mechanical rigs, and so many other applications; due to its high strength and performance for easy moving heavy objectives. In general, a pair of side slide-rails is set on both sides of a drawer to support and move it. So an unbalanced sliding motion can occur during opening and closing a drawer with pull and push force. To settle this problem, single central slide-rail having three collapsible rail-bodies was firstly proposed in this work. 'H'-beam shaped rail-body was newly designed to have enough bending and twisting strength. The experimental test showed that the proposed rail could be applied to large-size home appliances for easy moving drawer with heavy weight.

The purpose of this study is to analyze performance problems in establishing and improving program educational objectives (PEO) and to set up action strategies for the civil engineering program at the A university. To fulfill the purpose, according to the typical needs analysis model, research problems were defined, current conditions and desired conditions were identified, discrepancies and their reasons were examined, and action strategies were derived. Current conditions and desired conditions were identified by analyzing the A civil engineering program's self study report, conducting surveys and interviews with constituents. After the discrepancies and the reasons were examined, performance problems and field force analysis were conducted to draw short term and long term action strategies to improve PEO. Short term action strategies were to announce PEO to current students, to hold faculty seminars to establish and to improve PEO, to renew the list of constituents regularly, to composite an annual milestone, to define roles of the committees, and to enforce educational opportunity toward industrial advisory board members. For the long term strategies, improvement and documentation of PEO assessment system, collection and analysis of constituents' suggestions, establishment of effective accreditation support system, and arrangement of compensation system for the faculties who are in charge of engineering education accreditation responsibility.

Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Ltd. launched 'Samsung Super Insurance Package', an insurance policy combining household's property & casualty insurance policies, except insurance with savings and pension insurance, into one for the first time in Korea. The product was developed to tackle challenges and threats from environmental changes, whose success owes to an excellent marketing strategies like adopting MCS system which is coined to support sales force activities, and building SRC(Samsung Risk Consultant), the organization dedicated to the sales of the product. The case shows how Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Ltd. developed and successfully marketed the combined insurance policy for the first time in Korea identifying the key success factors and discusses its business implications and future challenges.

In Korea, the elderly support has been accomplished by the families in the extended family system with the influence of the transmigration and the confucianism thought. But in Korea the drastic changes of society such as, the growth of the elderly pollution, the urbanization, the decrease of the birth rate, the increase of the working women, the growth of the nuclear families, etc., make the family difficult to take care of the elderly. Therefore, some people insist on the construction of the elderly home as the way to solve the elderly problems and some of corporations including profit-organizations are ready to participate the construction of the elderly home. They force the change of the current social security law because it is impossible to carry out the plans uncer the law. At this point, the conditions of the elderly home in Japan which is geographically close to Korea and has facillicated the elderly home business were examined at the consumer perspectives. The purpose of this study were to consider the possible problems in the elderly home and to prevent from happening another elderly problems in the future.

While the necessity of introduction of legislative enactment for military aircraft operation became more evident especially after the Aviation Law that has recently been revised, the prospects of such legislative action in which adopts the unique nature of aircraft need to cone to life more than ever. Here lies our efforts to analyze the problems of Military Airbase Law, to introduce status of military-related legislations in other countries, and to examine legislative support system and overall direction for the legislative enhancement by presenting and discussing necessary subject matters m an endeavor to enact or revise the military-related aviation law.

Because of resonance between natural frequency of the second floor base for IPB(Isolated Phase Bus) duct supports in a power plant and operation frequency of the turbine, there was high amplitude vibration on IPB duct. To reduce vibration of IPB duct, Firstly it was set a FEM model to seek the mode shape for the concrete structure. Secondly, it was carried out dynamic analysis for the FEM model. Lastly, because the natural frequency of the concrete structure could not be changed, it was changed supports position for the IPB duct near to beams. It resulted in reducing vibration of IPB duct.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the stability of tapered columns with clamped one end and carrying a tip mass of rotatory inertia with translational elastic support at the other end. The linearly tapered columns with the solid rectangular cross-section is adopted as the column taper. The differential equation governing free vibrations of such Beck columns is derived using the Bernoulli-Euler beam theory. Both the divergence and flutter critical loads are calculated from the load-frequency curves which are obtained by solving the differential equation. The critical loads are presented as functions of various non-dimensional system parameters: the taper type, the subtangential parameter, mass ratio and spring stiffness.

Agricultural environmental indicators (AEIs) are useful tool for evaluating environmental performance induced by agri-environmental policy measures. General and specific criteria have been set to assess the linkages between policy measures and environmental states. In addition, a number of specific AEIs such as nutrient balance indicators and farm management indicators have been posit to review environmental performance associated with agri-environmental policy measures. The proposed environmental subjects encompass soil quality, qualities of underground and surface water, water resource preservation, species and genetic diversity, diversity for wildlife habitats, and agricultural landscapes. The developed AEIs may contribute to establishment or adjustment of environmental targets and ex-ante or ex-post evaluation for environmental performance associated with policy measures. In addition, the AEIs may be useful to consider introduction of new agri-environmental measures and enhance policy efficiency by assessing environmental performance, considering specific locality, and harmonizing support measures.

RPL (IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low-power Lossy Network) is a standardized routing protocol for LLNs (Low power and Lossy Networks) by the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). RPL creates routes and builds a DODAG (Destination Oriented Directed Acyclic Graph) through OF (Objective Function) defining routing metrics and optimization objectives. RPL supports a leaf mode which does not allow any child nodes. In this paper, we propose INFRA-RPL which provides a dynamic leaf mode functionality to a leaf node with the mobility. The proposed protocol is implemented in the open-source IoT operating system, Contiki-NG and Cooja simulator, and its performance is evaluated. The evaluation results show that INFRA-RPL outperforms the existing protocols in the terms of PDR, latency, and control message overhead.

An emergency service over Voice over IP (VoIP) network is an essential condition, like the existing telecommunication services. To support for the emergency services, standardization works have been performed. The National Emergency Number Association (NENA) has been developing the framework and procedures for an emergency service for Non-IP based network, rather than protocols. In contrast, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has been only focused on end-to-end IP-based emergency calls. The NENA architecture is incompatible with the IETF protocols. To solve the problem, we design and implement a SIP-based VoIP emergency system by adopting the NENA architecture and by applying IETF protocols, for both IP-based Pubic Safety Answering Point (PSAP) and PSTN-based PSAP. It is implemented and tested under UNIX environment.
