Direct Growth of Graphene at Low Temperature for Future Device Applications

  • The development of two-dimensional graphene layers has recently attracted considerable attention because of its tremendous application in various research fields. Semi-metal materials have received significant attention because of their excellent biocompatibility as well as distinct physical, chemical, and mechanical properties. Taking into account the technical importance of graphene in various fields, such as complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor technology, energy-harvesting and -storage devices, biotechnology, electronics, light-emitting diodes, and wearable and flexible applications, it is considered to be a multifunctional component. In this regard, material scientists and researchers have primarily focused on two typical problems: i) direct growth and ii) low-temperature growth of graphene. In this review, we have considered only cold growth of graphene. The review is divided into five sections. Sections 1 and 2 explain the typical characteristics of graphene with a short history and the growth methods adopted, respectively. Graphene's direct growth at low temperatures on a required substrate with a well-established application is then precisely discussed in Sections 3 and 4. Finally, a summary of the review along with future challenges is described in Section 5.

A Study on Persuasion Effects of Online Cosmetic Advertising -Focused on Types of Social Proof Message and Product- (온라인 화장품 광고의 소비자 설득효과에 관한 연구 -사회증거 메시지 유형과 제품유형을 중심으로-)

  • This study was intended to identify the persuasion effects according to social proof message type and product type in the context of online cosmetic advertising. For the experiment, 4 stimuli were developed as experimental stimuli for the 2(social proof message type: attitudinal social proof message, behavioral social proof message)${\times}$2(product type: hedonic product, utilitarian product) factorial design. A total of 160 questionnaires allocating forty students to each group were distributed. The results were as follows. First, behavioral social proof message showed more effective than attitudinal social proof message in advertisement attention, click-through intention and purchase intention. Second, utilitarian product showed more effective than hedonic product in advertisement attention, click-through intention and purchase intention. Third, there was interaction effect according to social proof message type and product type on the aspect of click-through intention.

  • Last year, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games have finished successfully. Over the last century the Olympic Games have received much attention from the world widely in the various point of views. In opposition to the Olympic Games, Delphic Games have attracted little attention. Moreover, There are no comprehensive monograph and research about Delphic Games in ancient and modem era. On that account, this paper will focused on the historical context of Delphic Games, review contents of it, and discuss visions to introducing and announcing the Delphic Games to the academic world.

  • Purpose: This study focused on SNS, which has been in the spotlight as a marketing tool as the number of people using SNS, to find out about the relationship between the characteristics of airline SNS marketing and the impact on brand attitude and purchasing intention. It will also identify the relationship between each factor and, in conclusion, identify the influence of SNS characteristics as marketing tools of airlines and provide direction and theoretical implications so that they can be used as effective marketing tools based on this. Research design, data: Airline SNS characteristics factors were derived from three main components: interactivity, entertainment, and convenience, four hypotheses were set up, and the SPSS Win 18.0 program and AMOS 22.0 were used to analyze the relationship between factors in a total of 333 questionnaires. Results: The airline's successful SNS marketing directly affects the airline's brand image and airline's brand attitude, and a good brand image forms a positive brand attitude for consumers and also suggests that this can lead to purchasing intentions. Conclusions: Airlines that want to successfully market SNS should pay attention to SNS characteristics and consider them in-depth, and pay attention to SNS as an important marketing tool.

  • Many organizations have paid less attention to knowledge withholding intention (KWI) rather than knowledge sharing. KWI is the likelihood that employees will give less than their full effort to contributing knowledge. KWI can be affected by employee's knowledge psychological ownership (KPO), cultural level (Individualism/collectivism: I/C), and altruism for organizational benefits. Also I/C is an important motivational factor that affects KPO and KWI closely. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between employee's KPO and KWI in the perspective of employee's motivational factors (I/C, altruism for organizational benefits). The results of analysis show that employee's KPO and collectivism are driving forces leading to KWI and that individualism is the significant influential factor of employee's KPO. For theoretical and practical contributions, the research presents the grounds for arguments that KPO and I/C are employee's psychological motivation for individual KWI and organizations trying to pay attention to employee's KPO and individualism need to decrease employee's KWI under individual, leader, and organizational dimensions. Limitations arisen in the course of the research and suggestions for future research directions are also discussed.

  • The growth of information and communication technology (ICT) has led to a rapid of business paradigm shift incurred in the creation of new social/market value, changes of a value chain and elements producing a value creation, and enlargement of the scope of market competition. It leads to the change and evolution of industrial structure, requiring innovations of policy and institution. However, most studies that have focused on the effect of policy and institution on innovation are based on thick description and qualitative evidence, while paying little attention to these linkages in an empirical way. Hence this study has attempted to empirically analyze policy and institutional factors affecting innovation performance, particularly attention to ICT industry in OECD countries. The findings derived from the empirical analysis provide important implications for catch-up countries in relation to the innovations of policy and institution for effective innovation system and start-up ecosystem.

  • As interpretation of descriptive illustrations without caption differs from each viewer, it is deemed that the effect of attention is represented differently and the acceptance level of any advertisements will be ultimately different according to the visualization method of concept in the creative. The purpose of this research is to recognize the reality and status of visualization for real estate ads in newspapers via visualization analysis through Otto Kleppner's visualization model and to reasonably and efficiently conduct creative of real estate ads by representing problems and their solutions based on the surrey. These activities are to more efficiently produce real estate ads, which occupy a relatively important portion in newspaper ads.

  • SILER (Seismic-Initiated event risk mitigation in LEad-cooled Reactors) is a Collaborative Project, partially funded by the European Commission in the $7^{th}$ Framework Programme, aimed at studying the risk associated to seismic-initiated events in Generation IV Heavy Liquid Metal reactors, and developing adequate protection measures. The project started in October 2011, and will run for a duration of three years. The attention of SILER is focused on the evaluation of the effects of earthquakes, with particular regards to beyond-design seismic events, and to the identification of mitigation strategies, acting both on structures and components design. Special efforts are devoted to the development of seismic isolation devices and related interface components. Two reference designs, at the state of development available at the beginning of the project and coming from the $6^{th}$ Framework Programme, have been considered: ELSY (European Lead Fast Reactor) for the Lead Fast Reactors (LFR), and MYRRHA (Multi-purpose hYbrid Research Reactor for High-tech Applications) for the Accelerator-Driven Systems (ADS). This paper describes the main activities and results obtained so far, paying particular attention to the development of seismic isolators, and the interface components which must be installed between the isolated reactor building and the non-isolated parts of the plant, such as the pipe expansion joints and the joint-cover of the seismic gap.

  • Solar energy has attracted wide attention as a promising renewable energy source. The goal of this paper is to estimate the dynamic performance of solar flat plate collector system according to the weather conditions and the capacity of heat storage tank. This study provides a detailed description of the modeling methods and materials of the system. The effects of the daily clearness index and the volume of the heat storage tank on the hourly and daily performances of the system are numerically investigated. Special attention is focused on the important system variables including the solar insolation on the collector surface, useful energy, heat loss at the collector, and collector efficiency.
