  • Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) produces two kind of torque that Magnetic and Reluctance torque. The permanent magnet linkage flux Ψa and d-axis and q-axis inductance have an important influence on the torque characteristic of IPMSM. Thus their accurate prediction is essential for predicting performance aspect such as the torque and flux-weakening capabilities. In this paper, we compared the characteristic parameters and operation region of two type IPMSM which has different pole numbers.

  • Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) produces two kind of torque that Magnetic and Reluctance torque. The permanent magnet linkage flux $\Psi_a$ and d-axis and q-axis inductances have an important influence on the torque characteristic of IPMSM. Thus their accurate prediction is essential for predicting performance aspect such as the torque and flux-weakening capabilities. In this paper, $L_d,\;L_q$ is calculated by LC resonance method with FEM. The results are validated by comparison the $L_d,\;L_q$ calculated by another method.

  • This paper proposes a new overmodulation strategy to give a better voltage utilization by tracking voltage vector along hexagon sides. This strategy enables the inverter to control both magnitude and angle of current. Therefore, the vector control using this strategy can lead to better output torque dynamics compared to the conventional slip frequency control with six-step voltage, which is widely used in the traction drive. In this strategy, the d-axis output voltage of a current controller to control the flux is conserved and the q-axis output voltage to control the torque is controlled to place the voltage vector on the hexagon boundary In case of overmodulation. The limited q-axis voltage is used for anti-windup of q-axis current controller. This paper also presents a new field weakening scheme which incorporate the proposed overmodulation strategy. In this scheme, the flux level is selected by both required current limit and the available maximum voltage along hexagon sides. The validity of the proposed overall scheme is confirmed by the computer simulations for a typical traction drive with a 210[㎾] induction motor.

  • 최근 전력전자 기술의 발달로 전동기의 초고속 운전이 가능해졌고, 여러 가지 장점으로 인해 다양한 산업 분야에서 초고속 전동기가 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 DSP와 IGBT 인버터로 제어되는 영구 자석 동기 전동기(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)를 118,000r/min으로 운전하는 제어 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 운전시 회전자의 위치와 속도를 얻기 위해 홀(hall) 센서를 사용하였으며, 홀 센서의 작은 분해능으로 인한 성능 저하를 줄이기 위해 속도 관측기를 사용하여 회전자의 각과 속도를 추정하여 이를 제어에 이용하였다. 고속 영역에서는 전동기의 출력을 높이기 위해 안티 와인드 업(anti-wind up)과 약자속 제어를 통합하여 수행하는 약자속 제어기를 사용하여 운전 영역을 확대하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 제안한 방법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 전기 스쿠터용 영구자석 동기 전동기(PMSM)의 토크제어 알고리듬을 제안한다. 전기 스쿠터용 인휠(In-wheel) 모터는 기구적으로 고 분해능의 회전자 위치검출 센서인 레졸버나 엔코더를 장착하기 어려워 저 분해능의 홀 센서를 사용한다. 본 논문은 홀 센서를 갖는 영구자석동기전동기의 벡터제어를 위하여 속도관측기를 사용하여 회전자의 속도 및 고분해능의 위치정보를 관측한다. 초기 기동시에는 일반적인 120도 통전방식의 BLDC 운전모드로 기동하고, 기동 후에는 벡터제어 방식으로 전환하여 단위 전류 당 최대 토크(Maximum Torque Per Ampere, MTPA) 운전과 약자속(Flux weakening) 제어를 수행한다. 제안한 알고리듬은 전기스쿠터의 장착실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • Interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) which has high power density is usually applied to traction motor for hybrid electric vehicle. In order to analyze characteristics of IPMSM, d- and q-axis equivalent circuit analysis is generally used. However, the line current of IPMSM calculated by d- and q-axis equivalent circuit analysis differ from measured value. This error is mainly appeared under the flux weakening control. In order to reduce the error between calculated and measured line current, no-load linkage flux which is calculated with considering saturation of magnetic core and armature reaction is applied to characteristic analysis. The result of line current calculated by the method dealt with in this paper is verified by comparison with experimental results.

  • Recently, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) drives are widely used for industrial applications due to its high efficiency and high power factor control strategy. PMSM generally have two classifications such as the SPMSM(Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) and IPMSM(Inter Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors). IPMSA has economical merits over SPMSM in higher speed range, mechanical robustness, and higher power rate by the geometric difference. The maximum torque operation in IPMSM is realized by the current angle control which is to utilize additional reluctance torque due to a rotor saliency. In traction, spindle and compressor drives, constant power operation with higher speed range are desirable. This is simply achieved in the DC motor drives by the reduction of the field current as the speed is increased. However, in the PMSM, direct control of the magnet flux is not available. The airgap flux can be weakened by the appropriate current angle control to demagnetize. In this paper, the control method of optimal current vector in IPMSM is described in order to obtain the maximum torque or maximum output with the speed and load variations. The applied algorithm is realized by the proto system with torque and speed control Experimental results show this approach is satisfied for the high performance servo applications.   • 본 논문에서는 IPMSM의 약자속 제어 영역에서 토크제어를 하기위한 전류제어기를 PI-IP 혼합제어기로 구성하였다. 약자속 제어 영역에서 토크제어 시 d축과 q축의 인덕턴스 차이로 인해 전류제어 응답의 차이가 발생하여 전압여유분 확보에 문제점이 발생한다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하고자 PI-IP 혼합제어기를 적용하여 약자속 영역에서의 d축과 q축의 전류 제어기의 응답특성을 달리하여 토크제어 시 과도상태에서 발생하는 문제점을 개선하였다.

  • This paper describes the nonlinear sensorless control of induction motor by using feedback linearization and current error; the feedback linearization technique and the current error are applied for independent between rotor flux and electric torque and for speed estimation. The dynamic characteristics of the proposed nonlinear control algorithm involving field weakening area are verified by simulation and experiment.

  • Generally, the Doubly Salient Machine such as Switched Reluctance Motor doesn't have Permanent Magnet, it sometimes adopts permanent magnet or DC filed winding for high efficiency or adjustable speed control. In this paper, adjustable speed range is compared for Doubly Salient Permanent Magnet Machine (DSPM), Brushless Doubly Fed Doubly Salient Machine (BDFDS) and Hybrid Excited Doubly Salient Machine (HEDS). Especially, air-gap flux density to the DC field current is shown and the operating speed as the field-weakening is estimated.
