Development of New Strengthening Methods Preventing Early Delamination Failure of CFS (탄소섬유 보강공법의 조기 탈락 방지 공법 개발 연구)

  • The strengthening method with CFS(Carbon Fiber Sheet) has some fatal defects that the beams strengthened with CFS is always failed far below its ultimated strenth due to rapid progress of horizontal delamination. The crack between beam and CFS are always started from the center of the beam and propagated to the end of the beam. The moment of the beam is always the largest in the middle of the beam, so is the tensile force of the CFS. The bumped surface of the CFS causes debonding force depending on the tensile force of CFS. In this study, two methods which delay early delamination are suggested and proved its validity, experimentally. The first method is using anchor bolt at the end of CFS, and the second method is using CFS wrap aroud at the center and the end of beam. The maximum load and ductility of the two methods are increased significantly. However, the maximum load is still far below the ultimate load. That's because the tensile strength of CFS is so large that its tensile strength can not be reached under normal loading condition. The ductility of the strengthened beam is improved more that twice before modiffication.

Chromatographic Behavior of Proteins on Stationary Phase with Aminocarboxy Ligand

  • An aminocarboxy aspartic acid-bonded silica (Asp-Silica) stationary phase was synthesized using L-aspartic acid as ligand and silica gel as matrix. The standard protein mixtures were separated with prepared chromatographic column. The effects of solution pH, salt concentration and metal ion on the retention of proteins were examined, and also compared with traditional iminodiacetic acid-bonded silica (IDA-Silica) column. The results show that Asp-Silica column exhibited an excellent separation performance for proteins. The retention of proteins on Asp-Silica stationary phase was consistent with electrostatic characteristic of cation-exchange. The stationary phase displayed typical metal chelate property after fixing copper ion (II) on Asp-Silica. Under competitive eluting condition, protein mixtures were effectively isolated. Asp ligand showed better ion-exchange and metal chelating properties as compared with IDA ligand.

  • It was analyzed that the vibration and frequency characteristics for quartz crystal using a finite element method, ANSYS. It was investigated that the resonant frequency of quartz crystal by fixing the diameter of quartz crystal for the various its thickness. There were also studied that the resonant frequency value with different electrode thin films of Au, Ag and Al. As the result of this study, the best condition for quartz crystal unit was determined by the finite element method. If the thickness of quartz crystal is smaller than 0.2 mm, the high frequency over 8.102 MHz was obtained. In addition, as to the change of resonant frequency on electrode thin film, Al turned out to be superior to Au or Ag in frequency response.

  • Incoterms is a standard transaction terms and conditions which is established to provide goods delivery, cost and risks between the seller and the buyer as a principle concerned. Incoterms is made of international rules about regular uses of transaction terms and condition. It removes uncertainty of misunderstanding and applying rules, commercial customs and etc, between nations. Incoterms does not have an enforcement like an unified rules or an agreements established between different nations. Therefore, it is just considered as a standard formal terms and conditions from International Chamber of Commerce. For those reasons, validity of Incoterms applies only when parties of contract come to an agreement not by officially adopted or applied by law in each nation. Incoterms 2010 contains specific and clear articles which is fixed version of incoterms 2000, it has insufficient points on insurance contract article. Though, insurance contract belongs to sales contract, it sustains independence itself. It is difficult to sustain perfection until establishment of insurance contract and expiration by fixing the articles. As a result, it is necessary for sellers and buyers take a full responsibility of making complete insurance contract. This paper is written for those reasons in this filed.

  • This study is to find out the betterment way of cost down in the architectural temporary work. To do so, it is more important to check every case above all and find and choice optimum way fitting a scene of a construction field. In addition, in case that the way to apply in proportion to a given condition is complicated, the way to find out cost down way is to adopt the individual peculiarity instead of the generality. Hereupon this study is rather to find out the better way to reduce such as material and manpower cost than to leave matters not to be settled to get the best way in the existing temporary work. So this study is composed with finding the existing problems, fixing the focus about the developmental way to reduce cost in the exterior and interior temporary work, presenting the new construction way and describing the merits and attentions of an improved exterior and interior temporary work.

Changes of Enzyme Activity in Nitrogen Metabolism on Induced Association of N. muscorum with Cultured Tobacco Cells (N. muscorum과 담배 배양세포의 공생유도에 따른 질소대사에 관여하는 효소활성의 변화)

  • Investigations on the liability of nitrogen usuage by Nostoc muscorum that has nitrogen fixing ability, and cultured tobacco cells as they were associately cultured on nitrogen-free media and effects of polyamine on the associated culture condition were carried out. In addition, measurement on the activity of nitrate reductase, glutamine synthetase, glutamate dehydrogenase and glutamate synthase that take part in the metabolic pathway of nitrogen fixation product were performed. Among enzymes participating in the metabolic pathway of nitrogen fixation products, the activity of nitrogen reductase stimulated five times in associated culture, and that of glutamine synthetase of N. muscorum increased two times after heterocyst differentiated. Activity of glutamate dehydrogenase increased markedly when cultured tobacco cells were solely incubated on nitrogen-free media, but inhibited when cultured associately. And, glutamate synthase was showed the highest activity in 0.1 mM of spermine treated group.

  • The study carried out the experiment with presenting as the fundamental data for developing non-cement by using red mud generated in blast furnace slag and bauxite generated in the process of manufacturing the pig iron process of manufacturing Al(OH)3/Al2O from as the binding material using the accelerator of NaOH. After fixing the thing and the NaOH adding the blast furnace slag and NaOH 10, 20, 30 (%) with 10, 20, 30 (%) substituted the red mud in the blast furnace slag and the experimental method carried out the experiment. And it measured the flexural strength and compressive strength and took a photograph EDS analysis and SEM. Consequently, the compressive strength was improved as the addition rate of the NaOH was high and the compressive strength according to the replacement ratio of the red mud was degraded. This is determined that film of the blast furnace slag is destroyed and it makes the hydration reaction condition and the intensity is revealed.

  • New geocentric geodetic datum has recently been realized in Korea, Korean Geodetic Datum 2002- KGD2002, to overcome problems due to the existing Tokyo datum, which had been used in this country since early 20th century. This transition will support modern surveying techniques, such as Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and ensures that spatial data is compatible with other international systems. For this realization, very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) observations were initially carried out in 1995 to determine the coordinates of the origin of KGD2002 based on the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF). Continuous GPS observations were collected from 14 reference stations across Korea to compute the coordinates of 1st order horizontal geodetic control points. During the campaign, GPS observations were also collected at about 9,000 existing geodetic control points. In 2006, network adjustment with all data obtained using GPS and EDM since 1975 has been performed under the condition of fixing the coordinates of GPS continuous observation stations to compute coordinate measurements of the 2nd and 3rd geodetic control points.   • Correlation among color intensity, electron donating ability to $\alpha$, $\alpha$-diphenyl-$\beta$-dicrylhydrazy(DPPH) and cultivation conditions by Bacillus subtilis DC-2 were tested with response surface methodology. Both of pigment generation ability and DPPH were more affected by temperature than any other factor. The highest correlation was appeared between color intensity and DPPH as 0.8364 which is significant at 1% level. After fixing cultivation time which is not significant at 10% level to 84hrs as optical cultivation time, response surface methodology was conducted in regarding temperature and color intensity. As a result of overlapped contour map of color intensity and DPPH, when cultivation temperature was in the range of 38.9~41.1$^{\circ}C$ and pH was in the range of 8.34~9.12, optical density of color intensity was predicted higher than 0.374 at 390nm and DPPH was infered higher than 1.310 at 528nm. In the range of optical culture condition, cultivation temperature, pH and cultivation time was fixed to 4$0^{\circ}C$, 8.5 and 85hrs, respectively. In resulting, observation value of color intensity and DPPH was in the range of anticipation value as 0.386 at 390nm and 1.332 at 528nm respectively.

  • Defects caused by apartment houses have the term of warranty liability according to the enforcement ordinance of Acts of the Management of Apartment Houses. In case when defects occur during the term, free defect maintenance can be provided from the construction company. Yet, there occur conflicts between the construction company and residents, as to whether there occur defects or not. To resolve these conflicts, this study aimed to analyze construction classification and types that need managing, based on defects of apartment houses occurring during the term of warranty liability. This research analyzed 138,576 cases of data, as of five apartment house complexes. For the construction classification for defects of apartment houses, wooden flooring products accounted for the highest rate, followed by paper hanging, and wooden window. For the construction types of defects, torn/scratching took up with the highest rate, followed by the condition of defect in fixing and operating. In order to embody defects occurring during the term of warranty liability, into the visualization technique, this researcher utilized the word cloud method. This study will pursue the method for maintaining defects during the term of warranty liability, in the subsequent research, using the data that this research presented.
