자연산 어류의 시장 통합성 분석 (Analyzing Market Integration of Wild Caught Fish Species)

  • This study is aimed to estimate market integration of wild caught fish species on the Korean market, using both multivariate and bivariate cointegration analysis. For the analysis of market integration between wild caught fish species, major four fish species those are most popular fish in the market and caught by the large purse seine fishery-chub mackerel, jack mackerel, hairtail and spanish mackerel-were selected as analytical target fish species. And their real monthly price data from January 2000 to December 2011 were used in the analysis. The results of the multivariate cointegration test for four wild caught fish species showed that there would be long-term equilibrium relationships among prices of four wild caught fish species, and consequently, the markets for wild caught fish species were estimated to be integrated. The results of exclusion test and bivariate cointegration test also supported that there would be a clear evidence to suggest that all target wild caught fish species were cointegrated each other.

자연산 어류와 양식산 어류 간의 가격 경합성 분석 (Analyzing Price Interactions between Wild Caught Fish and Farmed Fish on the Korean Seafood Market)

  • This study is aimed to estimate price interactions between wild caught fish and farmed fish on the Korean seafood market, using multivariate cointegration analysis. Major commercially important four wild caught fish (chub mackerel, hairtail, yellow croaker and spanish mackerel) and two farmed fish(oliver flounder and black rockfish) are selected as analytical target fish species. Between 2000 and 2013, monthly production and price data are used in this study. The results of cointegration test showed that there would be a long-term equilibrium relationship among 4 wild caught fish and 2 farmed fish. However, the results of exclusion test indicated that farmed fish might not contribute significantly to the long-run relationship, suggesting that farmed fish might be only a weak substitute for wild caught fish, but no significant interaction could be found.

Length-weight Relationships for 11 Fishes Caught by Fish Pots in the Coastal Water off Baekya Island, Korea

  • Length-weight relationships were estimated for 11 fish species caught in Baekya Island, Korea. Samples were caught in depths of <15 m by fish pots between November 2008 and July 2009. The sampling gear, fish pots, is a widely used as commercial fishing gear in shallow waters of the region. The most abundant families were Hexagrammidae (20.7%), Cottidae (18.5%), Tetraodontidae (14.8%) and Scorpaenidae (13.3%). Estimates for parameter b of the length-weight relationship ($W=aL^b$) ranged between 2.454 and 3.361.

  • This study investigated the food quality characteristics of mottled skate Raja pulchra including the proximate composition, taste, color, flavor and texture as affected by area caught (Heuksando and Daecheongdo), sex and fish weight (heavy, intermediate and light grades). Based on viable cell counts, all of the mottled skates studied remained fresh. The moisture and protein contents of the mottled skate did not differ by the area caught and fish weight, but differed by fish sex. The taste of mottled skate was affected only by fish weight. The texture of the mottled skate differed according to fish sex and fish weight. The odor intensity did not differ for the three parameters.

  • For the purpose of leading horse mackerel Trachurus japonicus schools, mackerel Scomber japonicus schools and arrow squid Todarodes pacificus schools, which migrate to the Cheju coast and are caught by the set-net, to the set-net by attracting lamps, we made five attracting lamps and took a practical experiment in the Gwiduk and Dongbuk set-net fishing ground. In the set-net with two bag-nets, we compared the amount of catch of both bag-nets by the means of switching on and off the each attracting lamps in order, switching off the attracting lamps in order which had been switched on and moving an attracting lamp.In the bag-net with an attracting lamp, horse mackerel, mackerel and arrow squid were caught the most, on the other hand, yellow tail Seriola quinqueradiata, striped mullet Mugil cephalus were caught in large quantities in the bag-net without attracting lamp. File fish Stephanolepis cirrhifer, Dusky spinefoot Siganus fuscescens were caught evenly in both bag-nets regardless of an attracting lamp.This result indicates that the amount of horse mackerel, mackerel, arrow squid can be increased by the use of attracting lamps in the set-net fishing method.

  • The paper deals the fishing condition of the stern trawlers operated in the Atlantic coast of Africa. The datas are gathered from the Korean stern trawlers operated in the area from June, 1975 to May, 1976. The obtained results are summarized as follows: 1. The mean catch per haul are calculated as, cuttle fish 14.5kg, large size squid(more than :lOOg of body weight) 28.2kg, small size squid(less than 300g) 36.4kg, octopus 47.0kg. 2. Small size cuttle fish(less than5OOg of body weight) are caught much during after spring tide in July to September, yet, large size ClIttle fish(more than 500g) are caught much during neap tide in October to January. 3. Small size squid(less than 300g of body weight) are cBught much during after spring tide in October to December, yet, large size squid(more than 3OOg) are caught much during before spring tide in October to March. 4. Octopus are caught during neap tide in July to August.

남해안 연안 해역 그물통발의 망목과 입구크기에 따른 종조성에 관한 연구 (A study on the species composition according to the size of the entrance and mesh of the pot in the southern coastal waters)

  • To analyse and review the fishing performance and species composition according to the size of the entrance and mesh of the pot in the southern coastal waters (Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do and Yeosu, Jeollanam-do), the experiment in this study caught one class, eight orders, 17 families, 23 species, 662 fishes, and 99,833 g. The largest number of fish species was Conger myriaster (301 fishes caught) accounting for 45.5%, followed by Octopus vulgaris (152) accounting for 23.0%, Charybdis japonica (45) accounting for 6.8%, Sebastiscus marmoratus (43) accounting for 6.5%, and Parapercis sexfasciata (42) accounting for 6.3%. Conger myriaster, Octopus vulgaris, Charybdis japonica, Sebastiscus marmoratus, and Parapercis sexfasciata accounted for 88.1% of the total catch. For other fish species, 68 fishes of 18 species were caught, accounting for 12.5% of the total. As a result of the total catch survey, the catch rate of Conger myriaster was the highest at 50.9% in B. 22 mm/280 mm. In addition, the average total length per fish increased as the entrance size increased. The weight ratios of Conger myriaster, Octopus vulgaris, and other fish species based on the total weight caught in each pots of the six species of test fishing gear are as follows. A pots 66.6%, 26.5%, 6.9%, B pots 57.2%, 24.5 %, 18.3%, C pots 43.2%, 31.5%, 25.3%, D pots 7.4%, 56.7%, 35.9%, E pots 43.6%, 0%, 56.4%, and F pots 5.0%, 79.6%, 15.4%.

2006 남해안 해역별 어류의 출현 종 및 양적변동 (Species and Abundance Variation of Fish by a Gill Net in Coastal Waters of Southern Sea, Korea, 2006)

  • 조사기간 동안 남해안 4개 해역에서 자망에 의한 어류의 총 어획량은 577,422.9 g, 어획종수는 총 68종이었다. 전체 어획 종에서 양태가 차지하는 어획량 비율이 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 숭어, 개서대 그리고 보구치의 순이었다. 상대서식량 지수 면에서는 양태, 보구치, 개서대 그리고 숭어가 전체의 63.1%를 점유하였다. 해역별에서는 경남 통영 도남해역이 어획량과 어획종수에서 53,148.8 g, 18종 그리고 우점종은 문치가자미, 양태, 쥐노래미 등이었고, 전남 여수 계동해역이 123,926.9 g, 44종의 어획량과 어획종수 그리고 우점종은 양태, 갯장어, 문치가자미 등이었으며, 전남 장흥 수문해역에서 228,920.9 g, 28종의 어획량과 어획종수, 우점종은 숭어, 양태, 개서대 그리고 전남 진도 모도해역에서는 어획량과 어획종수가 171,426.3 g, 32종 그리고 우점종은 양태, 보구치, 개서대이었다. 따라서, 본 조사에서 남해안의 어류군집은 어획량과 어획종수 그리고 어획 종들에서 해역 간에 차이를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 남해안 해역별 해양환경 조건과 생산성 그리고 어종별 생태습성의 차이에 의한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 그리고, 남해안 연안의 어류는 수온이 상승하고, 염분값이 낮아지는 봄철이후에 점차 증가하는 경향에 있었다.

  • 트로올선 No.85 Ptaro가 1975년 9월부터 1976년 8월까지 대서양 아프리카 연안 어장에서 조업한 어획상황을 분석한 결과 예망당 어획량의 일주기변동은 대략 다음과 같다. 1. 오징어는 일출후에 월등하게 많고 일몰후에 현저하게 적으며 주야간의 어획량비는 54:17로 획간에 많았다. 2. 갑오징어는 개체중량 300g이상의 대형어는 일출후에 다소 많고 일몰후에 적으며 주야간의 어획비는 45:28로서 획간에 많고, 개체중량 300g 미만의 소형어는 주야간의 어획량비가 40 : 32로서 큰 차이가 없다. 3. 문어는 개체중량 700g 이상의 대형어는 일출후에 적고 일몰후에 적으며, 오전보다 오후에 많은 경향이 있고, 주야간의 어획량비는 43 : 31로서 획간이 많으나, 개체중량 700g 미만의 소형어는 일출후에 적고 일몰후에 많은 경향이 있고, 주야간의 어획량비는 32 : 44로서 야간에 많았다. 4. 서대류는 일출후에 현저하게 적고 일몰후에 월등하게 많으며, 주야간의 어획량비는 16 : 41로서 획간에 많았다. 5. 돔류, 기타 A, B 잡어는 일출후에 월등하게 많고 일몰후에 현저하게 적으며, 주야간의 어획량비는 돔류 51 : 19, A 잡어류 50 : 19, B잡어류 42 : 25로서 획간에 많았다.

Centrocestus armatus에 관한 연구 1. 피라미와 갈겨니의 피낭유충 감염상 (Study on Centyocestus armatus in Korea I. Infection status of Zucco plutupus and Z. temminckii with the metacercariae of C. armatus)

  • 우리 나라 5대 강의 19개 하천에서 피라미와 갈겨니 총 370마리를 1988년 6월부터 9월까지 포획하고 개체별로 인공소화시켜 C. armatus 피낭유충 감염상을 조사하였다. 피라미의 피낭유충 감염률은 평균 86.8%, 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 224개(1∼5,431)이었으며, 갈겨니에서는 78.5% 및 131개(1∼2,711)이었다. 한강 수계에서 포획된 어류의 피낭유충 감염률과 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 73.4% 및 32개(1∼289)이었으며, 영산강산 어류는 각각 88.0% 및 44개(2∼176)이었다. 금강, 탐진강 및 섬진강산 어류는 모두 피낭유충에 감염되어 있었으며 어체당 평균 피낭유충 수는 지역별로 각각 45개(2∼243), 59개(3∼311) 및 119개(1∼1,682)이었다. 낙동강 수계에서 포획된 어류의 피낭유충 감염률은 81.0%이었으며 어체당 피낭유충 수는 평균 348개(1∼5,431)이었다. 이 연구로 C. armatus 는 우리 나라 5대 강 유역에 널리 분포하고 있음을 확인하였다.
