부모의 결혼자금 지원과 경제자원 이전: 20-40대 기혼여성 가정을 중심으로 (Parental Support for Cost of Marriage Formation and Financial Resource Transfers)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence financial transfers between married women aged 20-40 and their parents and parents-in-law. In particular, we examine whether there is any reciprocity between parental support for the cost of marriage formation and financial resource transfers from married children to their parents and parents-in-law. Data from the 2009 wave of the Survey of Marriage and Childbirth were analyzed. Among married women who have been married for over 16 years, we find that the probability of them giving financial resources to their parents increases in line with the parental support they received to help their marriage formation cost. Therefore, we confirm that there is reciprocity between parental support for the cost of marriage formation cost and children's financial support provision for parents.

교육이 초혼 형성에 미치는 영향: 결혼 연기 혹은 독신? (The Impact of Educational Attainment on First Marriage Formation: Marriage Delayed or Marriage Forgone?)

  • 본 연구는 한국노동연구원이 수집하고 있는 노동패널 자료를 사용하여 교육이 초혼 형성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 특히, 본 연구는 우리나라에서 고등교육의 획득이 단순한 결혼의 연기로 이어지는지 아니면 결혼의 연기뿐만 아니라 생애 동안 결혼을 하지 않을 개연성 또한 증가시키는지를 살펴보았다. 분석 결과는 남녀 모두 최근의 출생 코호트로 올수록 결혼을 연기할뿐만 아니라 결혼을 하지 않는 개인들의 비중이 상대적으로 높게 나타나고 있음을 보여 주고 있는데, 이러한 출생 코호트별 격차는 모든 교육수준에서 공통적으로 관측되는 현상으로 나타나고 있다. 분석 결과는 또한 교육의 효과가 출생 코호트별로 상이하게 나타나고 있음을 보여 주고 있는데, 1970년 이전에 출생한 코호트의 경우 교육수준이 높은 개인들은 초기에는 결혼을 하는 비율이 낮지만 연령이 높아짐에 따라 상대적으로 빠른 속도로 결혼을 함으로써 교육으로 인해 연기된 결혼을 사후적으로 따라잡기 하는 현상이 남녀 모두에서 관측되었다. 그러나 1970년 이후에 출생한 코호트의 경우 교육수준이 높은 개인들의 따라잡기 현상은 남성의 경우에 뚜렷하게 관측되는 현상으로 나타나지만, 여성의 경우 고학력 여성들이 결혼을 하지 않고 미혼으로 남아 있는 비중은 저학력 여성들에 비해 지속적으로 높게 나타나는 상이한 패턴을 보였다. 기존 연구들이 지적하는 바와 같이 본 연구의 분석 결과는 최근으로 올수록 남성들의 경우 저학력 남성들이 배우자를 찾을 기회가 상대적으로 취약해지고 있음을 반영하고 있으며, 여성들의 경우 고학력 여성들을 중심으로 결혼을 연기할 뿐만 아니라 생애 동안 결혼을 하지 않을 개연성 또한 점차 높아지고 있음을 시사하고 있다. 전반적으로 본 연구의 분석 결과는 성분리 규범이 강하게 작용하는 사회의 경우 교육이 초혼 형성에 미치는 효과가 성별로 상이하게 작용할 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

첫인상 형성 상황에서의 이상적 여성상과 의복스타일 선호도 (The image of ideal woman and the preference of clothing in the situation of first impression formation)

  • This study tried to investigate whether characteristics of the perceiver and image of ideal woman made differences in the important factors for the selection clothing and the preference of clothing. A poll of 650 men & women between the ages of 20-39 living in Daegu was taken for this study. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, frequency, ANOVA-test, t-test, and $\chi$$^2$-test were implemented with the SPSS-package. The characteristics of clothing types used in this study included: sexy, masculine, feminine, dramatic, elegant-classic, and casual. The results were as follows. 1. In the situation of first impression formation, the characteristics of the perceiver made differences in the selection of clothing types. Women took self-satisfaction and fashion factors to be more important than men, so did persons in their 20s than 30s. And the unmarried took self-satisfaction factor to be more important than the married. 2. Men and women had different images of the ideal woman. Under special situations of first impression formation, such as, formal blind dates on the condition of marriage and casual blind dates, there were differences in clothing preference.

'건강한 커플관계' 교육이 고등학생의 관계형성능력과 결혼 가치관에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of 'Healthy Couple Relationship' Education on the Relationship Formation Competencies and Marriage Values of High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 고등학생을 대상으로 한 '건강한 커플관계'교육이 관계형성능력과 결혼 가치관에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 연구자가 개발한 '건강한 커플관계'교육을 2018년 9월 1일부터 11월 3일까지 8주간 두 개의 고등학교 수업에 각각 실행한 후 그 효과를 분석하였고 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학생을 위한 '건강한 커플관계'교육은 가정과의 교과역량인 관계형성능력을 향상시키는데 효과가 있었다. A그룹(S고등학교)은 '의사소통', '갈등해결' 영역과 '관계형성능력' 전체의 점수에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 인원수가 적어 Wilcoxon 부호-서열 검증을 실시한 B그룹(세종시 캠퍼스형 공동 교육과정)은 '관계형성능력'의 전체 및 하위 영역(의사소통, 자기이해, 갈등해결, 공감)의 점수가 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았지만 모두 향상되었다. 둘째, 고등학생을 위한 '건강한 커플관계' 교육은 고등학생의 결혼 가치관에 일부 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. A그룹(S고등학교)에서는 '결혼 가치관'이 유의미하게 긍정적으로 변화하였지만, B그룹(세종시 캠퍼스형 공동 교육과정)에서는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로 '건강한 커플관계'교육은 고등학생들이 건강한 커플관계 형성을 위한 지식과 기술을 습득하고 자신의 삶과 연결하여 깊이 있게 탐구해 봄으로써 가정과 교과역량인 '관계형성능력'을 함양하고 결혼에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓혀 긍정적인 가치관을 형성하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다.

초국적 결혼이주가정의 음식: 네트워크와 경계 넘기 (Food-Networks and Border-Crossing of Transnational Marriage Migrant Households)

  • 이 논문은 행위자-네트워크이론에 바탕을 두고 초국적 결혼이주가정의 음식-네트워크의 형성과 이를 통한 결혼이주 여성의 경계 넘기를 개념적으로 고찰하는 한편, 이에 바탕을 두고 대구지역의 초국적 결혼이주여성의 경험적 자료를 수집 분석하고자 한다. 연구 결과로 다음 주장들이 제시된다. 첫째, 음식은 단일한 대상물이 아니라 음식을 만들고 먹는 과정에 개입하는 다양한 인간 및 비인간(물질과 제도 등) 행위자들로 구성된 네트워크 또는 다중적이고 혼종적인 요소들의 집합체로 이해 된다. 음식문화는 가정의 사회적 관계와 장소성에 의해 규정되며, 또한 이를 재구성한다. 둘째, 결혼이주가정의 음식-네트워크는 이를 형성 재형성하는 과정에서 미시적 권력(또는 애착) 관계를 내포하며, 이러한 점에서 음식을 둘러싼 갈등과 타협이 교차하는 권력의 장이다. 셋째 결혼이주가정의 음식-네트워크는 본국 및 한국의 거시적 공간환경과 미시적 장소성에 의해 규정되며, 이러한 공간환경과 장소성은 음식-네트워크의 일부로서 다른 인간 및 비인간 행위자들과의 관계 속에서 작동한다. 넷째, 결혼이주가정의 음식-네트워크는 다중적 다규모적으로 형성되는 초국적 음식문화의 공간적 이동성과 장소성을 반영한다. 이를 통해 형성된 음식-네트워크에서 혼종적으로 재현되는 본국 음식문화는 위상학적으로 '유동적 공간' 및 '부재의 출현'을 표현하며, 결혼이주여성으로 하여금 문화적 경계 넘기를 (불)가능하게 한다.

여대생의 결혼관 및 결혼의향에 영향을 미치는 요인: 경기지역 일부 여대생을 중심으로 (Factors Affecting the View of marriage and Intention to marriage of Female University Students)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to understand the factors having effects on the view of marriage of female university students, and also to present the reference data for establishing the measures for having the positive view of marriage of female university students. Methods: An online survey was conducted targeting total 254 female university students of two universities in Gyeonggi region, from October 1 st to November 13th 2020. The results of this study are as follows. Results: First, to the question related to the intent to marry, total 70% of them responded that they had intent to marry. In the time of marriage, they said they would marry when getting financially stable. The 30% of subjects said that they would choose non-marriage because they wanted to continuously enjoy free life and they did not want to bear burden related to childbirth and child-rearing. Second, in the results of analyzing differences in the view of marriage according to the general characteristics, the students with intent to marry showed the higher romantic view of marriage, instrumental view of marriage, and exclusive view of marriage than the students without intent to marry, which showed significant differences. Third, the view of marriage were the factors having the greatest effects on the intent to marry of female university students. Conclusion: Based on such results of this study, it would be necessary to focus on the policies that could positively change the view of marriage of female university students. It would be needed to establish the social·institutional support measures for work-life balance by reducing women's burden of childbirth and child-rearing. To the question about the time of marriage, the most subjects responded that they would do so when the economic ability and stable job were equipped. Thus, there should be the systematic youth employment support system that could help the students to quickly and stably enter society and to become financially independent after graduation. Also, for the formation of positive family relation, it would be necessary to develop·operate the educational programs for forming positive family relation and desirable communication methods for each subject(spouse, parents, children, siblings, and etc.).

부모의 이혼을 경험한 30-40대 기혼여성의 생애사 연구 (A Life History Study of Married Women in Their 30s to 40s with Experience in Parental Divorce)

  • This study focuses on the life experience of married women in their 30s to 40s who have experienced parental divorce. For a comprehensive understanding towards the women, this study takes a life history research approach. The participants of this research are 8 women who have experienced parental divorce and are now married with children. The data were gathered through in-depth interviews and were analyzed through the spiral of analysis, following the process of Wolcott's "description, analysis, and interpretation." The results of this study are as follows. First, participants experienced emotions such as fear, anger, and lack of affection. Second, parenting attitude and parental divorce had negative effects on the participants' formation and development of self concept and in turn, participants experienced anxiety and withdrawal from interpersonal relationships. Some had difficulties in concentrating on their schoolwork, which was caused by psychological effects from their instable home environments and some were negligent at school due to their parents' indifference or as an act of rebellion towards them. Third, although participants displayed interest towards the opposite sex, fear towards the opposite sex or unrealistic expectations led to difficulties in forming relationships. Participants also confessed that although they married so that they could escape their original family and form a new happy one, they experienced a rocky start at the beginning of their marriage. Fourth, parental divorce had a lifelong impact on children. Even after the children became adults, parental divorce affected each key stage of transition in life such as dating, choosing one's spouse, marriage, and child rearing. Fifth, participants displayed a strong attachment to life under the assumption that only they themselves can be depended on. This led to their strong commitments to a successful marriage without the possibility of divorce. In conclusion, parental divorce is not a transitory or incidental event. Rather, it becomes a part of the children's lives with lifelong implications.

생애사를 통해 본 중산층 기혼 여성의 첫 자가마련을 위한 주거경로 (Housing Pathways of Middle-class Married Women Toward Owning the First Home Through Life History)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the housing pathways of middle-class married women toward owning a first home. In doing so, an in-depth interview as a qualitative method was conducted, life history was utilized to track down the path to first-home owning, and all the interviews were transcribed for analysis. The research participants were well-educated middle-class full-time housewives owning a home. The findings indicated that family formation through marriage and child birth was a primary driving force to buy a home. It was shown that owning a home was perceived not just as a stepping stone for building both family wealth and social capital but as one of the most important pillars to reinforcing traditional family values. In spite of some intergenerational distinctions on the path toward home owning, commonalities across generations included that home owning was considered to be a social icon for middle-class, it became almost impossible for younger generations without parental support which stimulated the intergenerational transfer of wealth, and it was greatly determined by both family income (affordability) and home finance options(borrowing capacity). This research implies that the changing social landscape transforms the value on homeownership and could undermine the socioeconomic strengths of home owning. Nonetheless, it's of importance to strategically assist first homebuyers who are likely to be a member of middle-class.

  • Present family pattern of Korean society has been changed into nuclear family pattern based on the married couple from traditional expanded family pattern. As the entire social consciousness has been changed into private disposition, the number of independent household for 1 person has increases. Also, as the delivery age of first child became late according to the elongation of average period for the national education, the increment of average age for the first marriage and women's participation in the society, the family pattern of married couple lasts longer than used to be. Like this, considering the family formed period comprised from a household for 1 person to a household for 1married couple and senescence increase, as any response is inevitable for the requirement of residential space where 1~2 dwellers' life can be accepted economic and functionally within smaller scaled space, development and research on a plan system(flexible-typed plan) increasing the degree of freedom is required in developing plan of unit household. In the study for this, considering the change of population and social structure, I suggest the method in developing economic design responding to the differentiation, designing the change of support-system and infill-system based on the systemic comprehension about the residing environment in the family formation period and the research for main life pattern and residing environment in the family formation period in the present city life. I will set (family) composing system, develop basic and mixing typed standard model and establish the stage of applied development for the development of economic design.

  • Because of the international marriage of bachelors in the rural areas, there have been grown many foreign residents, the Multi-cultural families. For the improvement of multi-cultural families, the first important thing is their early settlement in Korea. For those foreigners' settlement, systematic approach to Korean education program is necessary. Second, multi-cultural families need support to maintain their basic lives safely. Agricultural education for the next generation is, moreover, also important for them. Third, healthy growth and training for the formation of the Self-Identity of their children are needed for those multi-cultural families too. Education for bring up their children as the global talents, the cost of private education and the one of bringing up children also have to be supported. Fourth, the improvement of understanding multicultural families is significant. Development and education of various programs to participate multi-cultural families are also required.
