Background: This study examined age-group differences in the rate, severity, and cost of injuries among construction workers to support evidence-based worker safety and health interventions in the construction industry. Methods: Ohio workers' compensation claims for construction workers were used to estimate claim rates and costs by age group. We analyzed claims data auto-coded into five event/exposure categories: transportation incidents; slips, trips, and falls (STFs); exposure to harmful substances and environments; contact with objects and equipment (COB); overexertion and bodily reaction. American Community Survey data were used to determine the percentage of workers in each age group. Results: From 2007-2017, among 72,416 accepted injury claims for ~166,000 construction full-time equivalent (FTE) per year, nearly half were caused by COB, followed by STFs (20%) and overexertion (20%). Claim rates related to COB and exposure to harmful substances and environments were highest among those 18-24 years old, with claim rates of 313.5 and 25.9 per 10,000 FTE, respectively. STFs increased with age, with the highest claim rates for those 55-64 years old (94.2 claims per 10,000 FTE). Overexertion claim rates increased and then declined with age, with the highest claim rate for those 35-44 years old (87.3 per 10,000 FTE). While younger workers had higher injury rates, older workers had higher proportions of lost-time claims and higher costs per claim. The total cost per FTE was highest for those 45-54 years old ($1,122 per FTE). Conclusion: The variation in rates of injury types by age suggests that age-specific prevention strategies may be useful.

Purpose: This is for the purpose to help the bill related to technologists be systematic and unitary by carefully analyzing a legislation, an enforcement ordinance, and enforcement regulations in the connection with the radiological worker and the radiation workers from the law and regulations related to technologists. Materials and Methods: Concerning technologists, a legislation, an enforcement ordinance, and enforcement regulations for a sort of medical technician, regarding the radiological worker, the rules of diagnosis radiation equipment safety management, and concerning the radiation workers, atomic energy law, an enforcement ordinance and enforcement regulations were gathered, compared with one another, and analyzed. Results: Among technologists, in the case of working in the department of diagnosis radiation, the title 'Radiological Worker' is used by the Medical Service Law, and in the case of working in the department of radiation tumors or the one of nucleus medicine, the title 'Radiation Workers' is used by the Atomic Energy Law. Conclusion: Besides the technical term that is used by characteristic tasks, unification of the terms that can be used in common is necessary for sure. And when a legislation, an enforcement ordinance, enforcement regulations, and notification, things like that in the radiation field are amended, certainly they should be done by mutual agreement through negotiation between the organization related to radiation and the governmental organization.
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between job characteristics such as role conflict, workload, and self-efficacy, secondary traumatic stress(STS), and burnout of social-workers who are working with survivors of child abuse, spouse abuse and sexual assault. While burnout has been studied over two decades all over the world, secondary traumatic stress(STS) is a less familiar term in the field of social work. Studies explaining the relationship between job-demands, STS, and burnout for social workers working with violence victims lack integrative insights across agencies serving children and adults. Thus, we examine whether the relationships between change based on wheter the survivor is a child or an adult. Two hundred thirty three social workers in Korea who work with violence victims participated in the survey. The data were analyzed with Amos 7.0. Results indicate that STS plays a key role in explaining social worker burnout across the agencies, and Child Protective Service workers were found to have the highest STS symptoms. The pathways to social worker burnout proved to be different based on who you served. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings were discussed.

Objectives: This study is aimed at inquiring into the grasp of real condition of working environment and improvements by calculating the hypertension distribution consequent on job stress risk and exposure level of alleviating factors. In addition, this study is intending to estimate the hypertension distribution through socio-demographic factors and level of stressors occurring at working environment, such as high workload, low control, low support, job insecurity, long working hours, low income. Methods: This study estimated the hypertension distribution using the tertiary Korean Working Conditions Survey data, and conducted comparative analysis according to the category of individual questionnaire items using odds ratio. Result: As a result of study, it was found that in the event that working environment satisfaction is low and business & an immediate superior's attitudes are negative, the hypertension distribution was high. Particularly, it was found that physical risk factor musculoskeletal risk factor, and mental risk factor in a workplace were all increasing the hypertension distribution. Conclusions: With the aged workers' labor market participation ratio increasing, hypertension could be a major issue in the field of Occupational Safety and Health. Thus, it's necessary that the relevant employer should lower the hypertension distribution through creation of pleasant working environment and inducement of workers to improve in the relations with their superiors. As for the uppermost limit of this study, there is a limit to clarifying the mechanism of hypertension through multivariate statistics analysis because it's difficult to establish causal relationship by individual questionnaire item as the working conditions survey is made by cross-sectional study. In the follow-up research, this study is going to do research on the mechanism of hypertension through questionnaire supplementation and in-depth analysis.

Workers are avoiding production/manufacturing sites due to the poor working environment and concern over safety. Small and medium-sized businesses introduce new equipment to secure safety in the production site or ensure effective process management by introducing the real-time monitoring technique for existing equipment. The importance of real-time monitoring of equipment and process in the production site can also be found in the ANSI/ISA-195 model. Note, however, that most production sites still use paper-based work slip as a process management technique. Data reliability may deteriorate because information on the present condition of the production site cannot be collected/analyzed properly due to manual data writing by the worker. This paper introduces the monitoring and process management technique based on a direct facility interface to secure safety in the field by improving the poor working environment and enhance there liability and real-time characteristics of the production data. Since the data is collected from equipment in real-time directly through the SIB-based interface and PLC-based interface, problems associated with workers' manual data input are expected to be solved; safety can also be improved by enhancing workers' attention to work by minimizing workers' injuries and disruption.

At the construction site of the driving site, the pile rebound and penetration measurements are performed manually to determine the end point of the driving operation, thereby causing the measurer to be exposed to a death accident. In this study, in order to eliminate the risk of this work, a non-contact penetration measuring device was developed and usability evaluation was conducted. The penetration measuring device is manufactured based on the ultrasonic sensor, and can be combined with the pile to deliver the data in real time, and the delivered data can be output in real time on the portable PC and the final penetration can be calculated. Usability evaluation on the device was conducted by comparison with manual work. Usability evaluation was largely evaluated on measured values, subjective comfort, and body parts comfort. The result of the measured value tended to overestimate the value measured manually by the measuring device, which is similar to the previous research. In terms of subjective comfort and body part comfort, overall satisfaction was higher than the manual method when using the measuring device. Taken together, these results indicate that it is possible to use the rudder measuring device in place of manual work in the construction site, and it is judged that the worker's comfort is greatly increased by using the measuring machine. The results of this study suggest that the use of non-contact measuring device in the field can be used as basic data to support them.
The dance area is less demanding than the supply, so it is not able to properly utilize talented people. If the university based dance research center is activated in this field, it can be an alternative by actively interacting with the residents of the community. Therefore this study was surveyed by specialists on invigorating dance institutes by applying new industrial development. Since then, workers were requested to evaluate importance and urgency of 23 questionnaires collected. As a result, the most important item was program development, and the most urgent was financial support. The first ranked sub-item of program development was organization of R&D cost(importance) and recruitment of professionals(urgency). Regarding financial support, it was budget increase and eligibility expansion of staff cost(importance) and subdivision and extended support for labor cost.

Building Construction projects are getting higher and larger. Therefore, the use of Tower Crane, which is more productive than any other lifting plan shows a trend of continuous increases. However as equipment for transporting heavy goods, are is too expensive for the monthly rent and used inefficiently for construction. site so it is analyzed that it has problems of reducing productivity and efficiency of lifting work. Inefficient situations are arising like poor communications between operator and worker, occurrence of blind spots, securing the shortest distance of fire during movement after lifting plan, influences of weather, location of materials, movement radius of tower crane by each locations and ever-changing working environments. Therefore, in this study, we first made a list of tower cranes that are inefficiently used at the site, and then we made a checklist. After that, through field visits, we derived checklist for Tower Crane to comprehensive data value.
Before the modern education was introduced in Korea men had the opportunity to be educated. Women's education was limited to a small number of girls belonging to ruling class. It was the men who got a job to earn the money for the family. The customary law prohibited women from being employed. They were to stay at home engaged in household affairs. This phenomenon has undergone a change when modern education was adopted which gave women the equal opportunity in education. The modernization of the country required a lot of educated and skilled labour. Since 1945 when Korea was liberated from the Japanese colonial administration the modernization programme has been worked out in every field such as industry, education, culture and politics, etc. The traditional grand family was transformed to nuclear family. The migration took place from country to town. With the adoption of compulsory education in the primary school the schoolgirls are increased in great number. The number of girls has been increased every year in Middle Schools, High schools and Universities. Even if boys still outnumber girls in all education institutions, the rate of increase of girl students are higher than that of boy students. Accordingly women are given more opportunity than ever for the employment vis-a-vis men. The number of employed women has been increasing greatly in recent years inproportion to the acceleration of industrialization. The type of their job is also various and colorful ranging from factory worker to doctor and lawyer. There are some problems to be solved with respect to the improvement of women's education. The improved women's education should be reviewed light of the fact that inequality still exists between men and women in occupation and wages, and that women is required of good education contributable to the better Korean society.
Kangwonland has been the only domestic casino and movement in casino industry has not been notable, but if more domestic casinos open in the future, it is inevitable those casino workers will move for the better remuneration and working condition. In this situation, in order to keep the previous customers and create new ones, we need to realize the importance of workers who lead customers' satisfaction. For this purpose, we need to find out the influential factors which affect the job satisfaction of the workers and try to turn the worker's satisfaction into good customer service. Despite the importance of casino workers, previous researches about casino industry focused only on economic effects, and there was few systematic research about the casino workers considering their job characteristics who provide services to customers in field. Therefore, this research aims to grasp influential factors of job satisfaction of casino dealers, analyze satisfaction and find out the ways to enhance the satisfaction. This will eventually help profit maximization of the casino company by improving the service quality. For this purpose, research was conducted whether job itself, relationship with the supervisors, promotion, remuneration, working environment affect the job satisfaction of the employees meaningfully and whether job satisfaction changes according to demographic characteristics.
