In the concurrent engineering, the CAD-based design model is necessary for multidisciplinary analysis and for computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). A shape and configuration design velocity field computation of structure has been developed using a computer-aided design (CAD) tool, Pro/ENGINEER. The design Parameterization with CAD tool is to characterize the change in dimensions and movements of geometric control points that govern the shape/orientation of the structural boundary. The boundary velocity is obtained by using a CAD-based finite difference method and the domain velocity field is obtained from finite element analysis (FEA) using the boundary displacement method. In this paper, the continuum configuration DSA for NVH problem, which requires the shape velocity field and the orientation velocity field at the same time, is developed using linear shape functions. For validation of continuum design sensitivity coefficients, design sensitivity coefficients are compared with the coefficients computed using by the finite difference method.

For fabricating high T$\sub$c/ superconducting deposition film, novel electrophoretic deposition (EPD) technique applied to deposit surface charged particles on metal substrate with only d.c field has been studied. However, the electric properties of superconducting film could not be improved easily by this way, because the particles of EPD film were usually deposited randomly on metal substrate without any directional orientation affected to its critical current density. For the purpose of obtaining partcle orientation on the EPD films, the new method modified by a.c. assisted field to the conventional electrophoresis system was investigated to improve the particle deposition density and to increase the contacting area among the particles with highly oriented particle deposition of BSCCO superconducting film.

In order to improve the surface uniformity and the conduction properties of the fabricated YBCO thick films, a system that applies alternating field vertically to the EPD field has been developed for the first time and applied to the electrophoretic deposition process. The applied alternating electric field, so called Shaky Alternating Assisted Field, caused a force to be exerted on each YBCO particle and resulted in a shaking of the particle in the direction of applied electric field, accomplishing a uniform particle orientation. The usual commercial electrical power was used for the vertically applied alternating voltage and the induced electric field was 25-120 V/cm at 60Hz. The thick film fabricated by the method developed in this paper showed better surface uniformity without crack and porosity and improved film characteristics such as critical temperature (Tc,zero = 90 K) and critical current density (2354 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$), Therefore, it is expected that the shaky-aligned electrophoretic deposition method can be used to fabricate superconductor films through a simpler process and at less expense.

Pb(Zr,Ti)O₃[PZT] thin films were prepared on a highly (100) oriented LaNiO₃[LNO] and a randomly oriented LNO by sol-gel process. The PZT thin films on a highly (100) oriented LNO show a high (100) crystal orientation (F=100 %), those on a randomly oriented LNO show a random crystal orientation (F=60 %). All the PZT layer have a flat and dense microstructure with large columnar grains and their grain size are 25 nm. In the ferroelectric curves at electric field of 40 kV/cm, a highly (100) oriented PZT/LNO samples show coercive field, E/sub c/=10 kV/cm and remanent polarization, P/sub r/=14.5 μC/㎠, while a randomly oriented PZT/LNO sample show E/sub c/=10 kV/cm and P/sub r/=5.4 μC/㎠.
The objective of this study is to identify the impacts of communication reinforcement on performance of learning in Web-PBL. Communication reinforcement is defined as the combination of information sharing and co-construction. As factors facilitating communication reinforcement, we propose learner's characteristics, task characteristics, and group characteristics. Learner's characteristics are collaboration-orientation, openness, holistic approach, and online community-orientation which reflects e-learning environment. Collaboration-oriented tasks as group projects were developed and given to groups with 5-6 members. The group characteristics are categorized into 'horizontal' and 'vertical', according to the patterns of communication between a group leader and members. To verify empirically the proposed research model, an experimental design was performed to learners who took on-line and off-line courses with group projects. We found important results as follows; First, field dependence has positive impacts on information sharing, and online community-orientation has positive impacts on co-construction. These results correspond with prior studies on relationship between field dependence and collaborative learning. Second, collaboration-oriented task directly impacts on information sharing, and indirectly affects co-construction, This result implicates that information sharing is pre-requisite of co-construction. Third, 'horizontal' was identified as a factor giving positive effects on information sharing and co-construction. This result implies that horizontal communication is very important to facilitate communication reinforcement.

This study's research method was to investigate the effects of career development in the field of beauty on organizational commitment. A survey targeted 271 beauty workers living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. For data analysis, SPSS 21.0 was used for statistical processing. First, descriptive statistics were analyzed, followed by a factor analysis and reliability analysis, third, correlation analysis, and finally linear regression analysis. Detailed research results are as follows. First, the effect of career development of beauty workers and organizational commitment was investigated. The result is as follows. The independent variables, self-development, goal orientation, and career orientation, which are sub-variables of career development, were found to have a statistically significant positive effect. Second, the effect of career development of beauty workers on co-workers' organizational commitment was investigated. The result is as follows. By the independent variable, self-development, and career orientation, which are sub-variables of career development, are found to have a significant positive effect. However, goal orientation had no effect. Therefore, based on the results of this study, the implications are as follows. As beauty is a creative pursuit, it is often done in collaboration rather than alone, and therefore camaraderie plays an important part in the foundation of a commitment to a company. It is a field that goes after a goal after committing to a community mindset, instead of pursuing a goal alone.
Organizational improvisation, the convergence of planning and execution, has emerged as an alternative approach to the limitations in strategic planning. Organizational improvisation has a significant impact not only on organizational performance, but also on market orientation, which has emerged as a key issue in the field of technology commercialization. This study investigates both the effect of organizational improvisation on market orientation, as well as the effect of environmental turbulence and time pressure on organizational improvisation. Results show that organizational improvisation has a positive influence on market orientation, with a stronger effect on the diffusion of market information. This is greatly impacted by environmental turbulence and time pressure. As a result, promoting competencies in organizational improvisation at the corporate level is suggested as a significant means to enhance market-oriented organizational innovation.
The purposes of this study are to examine the impact of LMX on psychological empowerment, job engagement, and customer orientation, and to analyze the dual mediation effect of psychological empowerment and job engagement. To conduct this study, we used 333 questionnaires collected by members of domestic companies and organizations. Analyses results are as follows: First, LMX has no positive effect on customer orientation. Second, in the relationship between LMX and customer orientation, psychological empowerment and job engagement play a mediating role. Third, in the relationship between LMX and customer orientation, psychological empowerment and Job Engagement play a dual mediating role. The results of this study suggest the following implications. The theoretical implication is that this study once again confirmed behavior patterns such as cognition, emotion, attitude, and behavior of members in the organization. In addition, this study contributes to the literature by explaining that these behavior patterns by way of social exchange theory. The practical implication is that this study confirmed that members in the management field need to utilize a customer orientation in order to achieve the organization's goal efficiently and effectively.

A new, commercially available polishing process called magnetorheological finishing is used to polish and figure precision optics. To understand and model this process correctly it is important to determine the mechanical properties of the fluid under the influence of the magnetic field. Magnetorheological (MR) fluids are commonly modeled as Bingham fluids, so one of the essential properties to measure is the yield stress. Since MR fluids are inherently anisotropic, the yield stress will depend on the mutual orientation of the magnetic field and the direction of deformation. The relative orientation of the field and deformation in polishing does not coincide with common rheological setups, so a new rheometer has been designed and tested. This new magnetorheometer design has been shown to give correct stresses during calibration experiments using Newtonian fluids with a known viscosity. The measured stress has also been shown to have a magnitude consistent with published finite element approximations for magnetic fluids. The design of the instrument was complicated because of the requirements imposed upon the magnetic field, and the difficulty in satisfying the no slip boundary condition. Our results show the importance of having a homogeneous field in the test region during measurements. The solutions to these problems and discussion of the measurements on nonmagnetic and magnetic fluids are given.
A Steel Plate Shear Wall (SPSW) is a lateral load resisting system consisting of an infill plate located within a frame. When buckling occurs in the infill plate of a SPSW, a diagonal tension field is formed through the plate. The study of the tension field behavior regarding the distribution and orientation patterns of principal stresses can be useful, for instance to modify the basic strip model to predict the behavior of SPSW more accurately. This paper investigates the influence of torsional and out-of-plane flexural rigidities of boundary members (i.e. beams and columns) on the buckling coefficient as well as on the distribution and orientation patterns of principal stresses associated with the buckling modes. The linear buckling equations in the sense of von-Karman have been solved in conjunction with various boundary conditions, by using the Ritz method. Also, in this research the effects of symmetric and anti-symmetric buckling modes and complete anchoring of the tension field due to lacking of in-plane bending of the beams as well as the aspect ratio of plate on the behavior of tension field and buckling coefficient have been studied.
