The congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation of the lung consists of an enlarged, meaty, multicystic lobe with smooth-walled cysts of varying sizes, which can communicate with major bronchi through malformed air passages that usually lacks cartilage. This abnormality is usually symptomatic in infancy with signs of respiratory distress such as tachypnea, substernal retraction and cyanosis. Prompt surgical resection is choice of treatment in life-threatening respiratory distress patients. We recently experienced a case of congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation of the lung in a patient with situs inversus totalis. The patient was 40 days old female who showed severe respiratory difficulty. Emergency left middle lobectomy was undergone successfully. Her postoperative course was uneventful. She was discharged from hospital on the postoperative eighth day in good condition.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of Korean medical treatment on the patient with cervical radiculopathy. Methods: A 16-year-old female patient, who was suffering from the cervical radiculopathy on her Lt. shoulder: ROM limit, swelling and arthralgia, was treated by herbal medicine, physical therapy, acupuncture and pharmacupuncture. Results: As a result, the patient's left upper limb disability was improved by Korean herbal medicine (ssanghwatang hap gamiseokyungtang), hominis placenta (Ja-ha-geou) pharmacupuncture and physical therapy. Conclusions This study showed that Korean medical treatments can be an effective choice for cervical radiculopathy.

Benign neural sheath neoplasms are not common in the maxillofacial region. These lesions can occur as solitary tumors, or they can affect many sites in the form of multiple neurofibromatosis. A solitary neurofibroma is seldom undergo sarcomatous transformation, since solitary neurofibroma is relatively radioresistant and its recurrence rate seems to be low, the treatment of choice is surgical excision. This case showed a solitary neurofibroma in the left side of the floor of mouth which occurred in a 33 - year -old female. The tumor was excised. And there is no evidence of disease. She is satisfied in function and esthetic aspect.

Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles Vol. 19, No. 6 (1995) p. 895~910 The purpose of study was to estimate the consistency between brand image and shopping bag image, and also to find out the important factors which constructed the brand image. This study was conducted by means of a questionnaire survey of female students of moi or universities in Seoul. Frequency, percentage, mean, factor analysis, 1-test, ANOVA, Fisher's LSD, Coster analysis, MDS are used for data analysis. The result are as follows: 1) Brand image was devised into three factors: personality/modernity, nobility and usability. 2) The rate of consistency of brand image and shopping bag image was high in the brands of Benetton, System, Cresson, Be-art, Tomboy, Guess, Esprit, Anacapri, Mercoledi, Youngwoo in descending order. 3) The most important factor which represent the brand image was the choice of color. 4) This study found that shopping bags can be advertising media because they think that shopping bags played an important role as a walking advertising media on the street.

The CarboMedics Medical valve has become our mechanical valvular prosthesis of choice because of favorable hemodynamic results that associated with marked clinical improvement and low incidence of thromboembolism after it,s uses. The data for this study was collected from August 1988 to July 1993,five years period. There were total of 57 patients[female 40,male 17 in this series with 4 isolated aortic valve,26 isolated mitral valve,11 double valve and a triple valve replacement. The mean follow up time was 32 months. Postoperatively,58% of cases were in New York Heart Association[NYHA functional class I,and mild and moderate symptoms[NYHA class II were present in 36% and there were very few patients remaining in higher functional classes. In postoperative echocardiographic study, showed marked improved cardiac function. The overall early mortality was 3.5% and the late mortality was one case after triple valve replacement due to sudden death. The causes of early death were attributed to early prosthetic valve endocarditis and heart failure.

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is a rare inherited connective disease. Among several subgroups, type IV EDS is frequently associated with spontaneous catastrophic bleeding from a vascular fragility. We report on a case of carotid-cavernous fistula (CCF) in a patient with type IV EDS. A 46-year-old female presented with an ophthalmoplegia and chemosis in the right eye. Subsequently, seizure and cerebral infarction with micro-bleeds occurred. CCF was completely occluded with transvenous coil embolization without complications. Thereafter, the patient was completely recovered. Transvenous coil embolization can be a good treatment of choice for spontaneous CCF with type IV EDS. However, every caution should be kept during invasive procedure.

Anomalous origin of left coronary artery from pulmonary artery(ALCAPA) is a rare fatal congenital anormaly that needs early surgical intervention. Many reports say that the choice of operative procedure is reimplantation of the left coronary artery into the ascending aorta. We experienced the surgical management of a case of the ALCAPA. The patient was 44 days old and 3.45 kg weighed female baby who had a symptom of congest ve heart failure. She underwent implantation of coronary artery on the aorta with cardiopulmonary bypass and recovered without any complications.

Infection of a median sternotomy incision may result in a large, unsightly,unstable,and potentially fatal wound. During the past 8 years, 5 consecutive patients [ 4 male and 1 female ] had repair of infected sternotomy wound. We describe our current preferred techniques and the results we have achieved with them. As soon as the sternal infection was shown, operative wound was opened and irrigated more than 4 times a day with 0.5% Betadine iodine solution until the exudate became clean with no growth of bacteria. Operation was performed in one-stage, which consisted of aggressive debridement of the infected bone and muscle transposition. Reconstruction was with one-side or both pectoralis flaps in all patients and rectus abdominis in 2 patients. There was no mortality or morbidity within 30 days postoperatively. We conclude that early aggressive debridement and muscle transposition remain the treatment of choice for most patients with infected median sternotomy wounds.

Verrucous carcinoma is a distinctive, extremely well-differentiated, slow-growing variant of the squamous cell carcinoma. Verrucous carcinoma of the oral cavity is relatively rare. McCoy reported about 49 verrucous carcinomas of the oral cavity. McCoy reported that the most common site of occurrence was the buccal mucosa, followed by the mandibular alveolar ridge and gingiva, and that The majority of the patients were between the ages of 50 and 80 years. Although most other series of oral verrucous carcinoma show a male predominence, our case occurred in female. The role of radiation therapy in treatment of oral verrucous carcinoma is controversial, and adequate surgical excision appears to be the treatment of choice. In this paper a case of verrucous carcinoma of the buccal mucosa and a review of the literature is presented.

The hair designers are fashion leaders who affect hair color of people. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to give some tips to satisfy customers through surveying hair designers most like color and the criteria of products choice. To have practical result, I use survey method. I took 120 hair designers who work for Park Jun beauty salon for the survey data. Among these data, I used 103 for the final data of analysis. The results are following, male hair designers like natural brown and blue coral color for hair coating. In addition, they like black color for coloring. Female hair designers like much more various color, they like orange color for coating and natural brown for coloring. Hair designers much more satisfied for international brand goods in all criteria except price. All of hair designers have favorite goods for the quality and brand image. Therefore domestic brands need much more effort to improve quality and its brand image.
