청소년이 지각한 가족 건강성, 가족 기능, 자아정체감과 우울과의 관계 (Relationship of Family Strengths, Family Function, Ego-Identity and Depression in Adolescence)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to survey and examine the relationship of family strengths, family function, ego-identity and depression in adolescence in Busan, and to provide basic data for a health promoting intervention to improve their family health. Method: Data were collected from four colleges in Busan and, 680 students were enrolled in the study. Descriptive statistics, t-test or ANOVA with Scheffe's test and Pearson's correlation coefficients were used to analyze the data. Results: The mean score for family strengths was 3.58, family function 4.31, ego-identity 55.4 and depression 17.9. The scores for family strengths differed significantly according to subjective social economic state and father's job, parent's religion, parent's marital status and family composition. The scores for family function differed significantly according to parent's religion, parent's marital status and subjective social economic state. The scores for ego-identity differed according to mother's education level, parent's religion, parent's marital status and family composition. There were a positive correlations between family strengths and family function, between family strengths and ego-identity, between family function and ego-identity. There were negative correlations between family strengths and depression, between family function and depression, between ego-identity and depression. Conclusion: In order to promote ego-identity and to decrease depression in adolescence, it is necessary to develop supporting interventions to develop family strengths.

성인자녀가 지각하는 노부모와의 관계유형에 관한 연구 (Adult Children's Perception of Types of Relationships with Elderly Parents)

  • This study explores the types of relationships between 410 adult children and their elderly parents based of exchange theory and the Konstanz model. In terms of the exchange of emotional, instrumental, and economic support based on exchange theory, the types of relationships identified included "support offers," "reciprocity," and "support benefits." In terms of conflict, intimacy, support offers, support benefits, and support obligations for adult children based on the Konstanz model, the type of relationships with the father included "an intimate exchange," "conflictual distance," "a conflictual sense of duty," and "a flexible exchange." The type of relationships with the mother included "an intimate exchange," "conflictual distance," "separate distance," and "a conflictual offer." There were no distinct characteristics of relationship types based on exchange theory. However, there were differences in characteristics of relation types based on the Konstanz model by gender. These results have important implications with respect to the Western model.

영아 어머니의 부모역할 중요도에 대한 인식 (Perception on the importance of Parental Role by Mothers with Infants)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this descriptive survey study were to describe the perception on the importance of parental role by mothers with infants, and to analyze the differences of those perception depending on the mothers' and infants' characteristics. Method: Data were collected from 240 mothers of infants visited at one public health center in Gangreung city. The instrument used for this study was a self-report questionnaire to identify the parental role. Results: The mean score for perception on the importance of parental role was 139.89, and item mean for caring performance ability domain 4.43, environmental organization for development domain 4.38, acceptance domain 4.26, responsibility domain 4.21점, knowledge for caring domain 4.19, sensitivity 4.16, provision of stimulus and involvement 4.01. There were significant differences in the perception of parental role according to spouse relationship, father's participation in child rearing, experience of parental role education, and infant's temperament. Conclusion: The experience of childhood is highly affected by the quality of the parental role. It is important to identify parents' perception of parental role. Therefore, the parental role education program are necessary.

한부모가족의 자녀양육에 대한 정책적 요구와 방안 모색 (Policy needs & improvements for single-parent families childcare)

  • This study reviews and analyzes the current status and conditions of child-rearing issues related to single-parent families and pinpoints related problems. It undertakes for single-parent families with children in elementary and middle schools to determine limitations that prevent single-parent families from obtaining in existing policies and legislation. The study introduces policy guidelines to ensure childcare for single-parent families. The results are follows. First, the basic policies supporting single-parent families should be broadened to include not only low-income, single-parent families but also higher-income, single-parent families, which would allow all such families to be given first priority at childcare centers. Second, to resolve discrimination and prejudice toward single-parent families, articles about education and single-parent families should be included in the Single-Parent Support Act. Third, substantial and customized support policies tailored to the growth-stages of children are needed. Fourth, programs to improve the relationship between children and single parents should be developed and promoted. Finally, various family types, such as single-father or multi-cultural single-parent families, must be considered.

미취학 자녀를 둔 취업모의 사회적 안녕감에 관한 연구 (Study of the Social Wellbeing of Working Mothers of Preschool Children)

  • This study examined the social wellbeing of working mothers of preschool children with the aim of identifying relationships between social wellbeing and influencing factors, focusing on the individual, relationship, and work environment of the mothers. Data on 390 working mothers were used for this study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program and descriptive statistics. Pearson's correlation analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were performed. The results show that social wellbeing has significantly positive correlations with education, monthly household income, number of children, age of the first child(8 and over), social capital for childcare, division of childcare, maternal role values, spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement, and family-supportive work environment, as well as significantly negative correlations with weekly working hours, sociological ambivalence, spouse's beliefs about father's breadwinner role and gender-role values, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers. In addition, hierarchical regression revealed that spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement and a family-supportive work environment were significantly positive predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing, whereas working mothers'sociological ambivalence toward their roles, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers were significantly negative predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing. These results point to ways of changing education and policy to improve the social wellbeing of working mothers.

워킹맘의 일-가족 갈등이 우울에 미치는 영향: 남편의 민주적 자녀 양육으로 조절된 결혼 만족도의 매개 효과 (The Relationships between Work-Family Conflict, Marital Satisfaction and Depression of Working Mother: The Moderated Mediation Effect of Democratic Parenting of Father)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 1학년 자녀를 둔 워킹맘의 일-가족 갈등이 우울에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 남편의 민주적 자녀양육으로 조절된 결혼 만족도의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 한국아동패널조사 8차년도의 워킹맘 610명과 배우자를 대상으로 한 워킹맘의 일-가족 갈등, 남편의 민주적 자녀 양육, 워킹맘의 결혼만족도 및 우울의 설문조사 자료를 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 워킹맘의 일-가족 갈등이 우울에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 결혼 만족도는 매개 효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 워킹맘의 일-가족 갈등과 결혼 만족도의 관계에서 남편의 민주적 자녀 양육이 조절 효과를 나타냈다. 셋째, 워킹맘의 일-가족 갈등, 결혼 만족도 및 우울 간의 관계에서 남편의 민주적 자녀 양육은 조절된 매개 효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 결과는 남편의 민주적 자녀 양육이 일-가족 갈등을 경험하는 워킹맘의 결혼 만족도를 보호함으로써 워킹맘의 우울을 완화할 수 있음을 보여준다. 따라서 본 연구 결과는 일-가족 갈등을 경험하는 워킹맘의 우울을 예방하기 위해서는 결혼 만족도를 증가시키고, 남편의 양육의 질을 높이는 것이 중요함을 시사한다.

청소년이 지각한 부모의 양성평등의식과 자녀교육지원 (Androgynous Equalitarianism of Parents Recognized by Adolescents and Educational Support for Children)

  • The purpose of the research lies in investigating how the androgynous equalitarianism of parents recognized by adolescents and educational support for children differ in accordance with social and population factors. The subjects were 397 adolescents of secondary schools in Chonnam. The analysis of the results was carried out using SPSS/WIN 10.0 program. The results were as follows: (1) Adolescents were found to recognize the androgynous equalitarianism in their parents differently in accordance with gender, birth ranking, academic record, and father education level. (2) Educational support of parents recognized by adolescents, showed some notable differences in accordance with type of school, birth ranking, academic record, place of residence, mother's age, father education level, form of marriage, and economic class. (3) The relationship between androgynous equalitarianism and Educational support of parents recognized by adolescents had a positive correlation. In conclusion, it is essential to provide an atmosphere wherein the budding children can display their utmost potentiality regardless of gender to grow independent way of thinking and behaving and ability. Also consistent willingness to practice education in androgynous equalitarianism for the realization of equal society for both men and women is believed prerequisite.

그림책을 활용한 스토리텔링 가족 수업이 청소년의 회복탄력성과 부모자녀관계에 미치는 효과: 중학교 기술·가정 '관계'와 '안전'의 핵심개념을 중심으로 (The Effects of Storytelling Family Classes Using Picture Books on the Resilience and Parent-Child Relationship of Adolescents: Focusing on the Core Concepts of 'Relationship' and 'Safety' in Middle School Technology·Home Economics)

  • 이 연구는 중학교 기술·가정 교과의 가족 단원에서 그림책을 활용한 스토리텔링 수업이 청소년의 회복탄력성과 부모자녀관계에 미치는 효과를 살펴보는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 가족 형태, 가족관계, 가족갈등, 성폭력, 가정폭력, 가족 상실에 관한 5가지 주제의 그림책을 선정하고 스토리텔링 요소와 기법을 적용한 '그림책으로 만나는 가족' 교수·학습 과정안을 개발하였다. 남녀 중학생 194명을 대상으로 기술·가정 수업시간에 적용하고, 사전·사후 검사를 통하여 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과 청소년이 지각하는 회복탄력성 정도는 수업 후 유의미하게 증가하였으나, 사회성 영역의 하위요인 중 자아확장력에서는 수업의 효과가 나타나지 않았다. 청소년의 부모자녀관계에서는 모든 영역에서 수업의 효과가 나타났고, 아버지보다 어머니와의 관계에서 느끼는 애정적 결속 정도가 더 증가하였다. 회복탄력성의 향상과 부모자녀관계 향상을 목표로 하는 기술·가정 교과의 가족 단원에서 그림책을 통한 스토리텔링 수업은 자신의 역경을 딛고 일어서는 잠재적인 힘을 청소년 스스로 길러주게 하여 청소년 가정의 가족과의 관계까지 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것임을 알 수 있다.

비만 여중생의 건강통제위 성격과 섭식행동 (Locus of Control and Eating behavior of Obese Middle School Girls)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between health locus of control(HLOC) and eating behavior in obese middle school girls. Method: The sample consisted of 170 obese middle school girls in Seoul. Result: 1. The average scores of HLOC were HLOC-Internal ; 4.11, HLOC-External ; 2.45, HLOC-Chance ; 2.09. 2. The average scores of eating behavior factors were Disinhibition ; 2.69, Dietary Restraint ; 2.67, Hunger ; 2.55. 3. The HLOC-Internal and eating behavior(dietary restraint and hunger) were correlated positively. The HLOC-Chance and disinhibition was correlated positively. But HLOC-Chance and dietary restraint was correlated negatively. The HLOC-External and eating behavior(dietary restraint, disinhibition and hunger) were correlated positively. 4. There was not a significant difference in HLOC depending on the demographic characteristics(grade, degree of obesity, father & mother's body shape, existence of obese sibling). There were significant differences in HLOC-Internal and HLOC-External according to thinking about oneself who is obese or not. 5. There was not a significant difference in eating behavior depending on the demographic characteristics(grade, degree of obesity, father & mother's body shape, existence of obese sibling, perception of oneself as a obese). Conclusion: This study has shown a correlation between HLOC and eating behavior. As a result of these findings, clinical and school nurses should be involved in management and counselling of obese girls concerning individual health locus of control and eating behavior.

초등학교 고학년 학생의 인터넷 중독에 영향하는 개인적, 환경적 요인에 대한 탐구 (Personal and Environmental Predictors of Internet Addiction in Higher Grade Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of internet addiction and factors affecting internet addiction in elementary school students. Method: The participants in this study were 1,328 students in 4, 5 or 6 grades of elementary school. They were recruited from two elementary schools. Data collection was conducted using of 6 questionnaires that were modified by the investigator. The data were analyzed with the SPSS win 10.0 program using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. Results: 1) The mean of total item score for internet addiction was 2.1, which was slightly low. Of respondents in this research 48.4% normally use the internet, while 48.5% addictively use the internet and as high as 3.1% were serious internet-addicted. 2) There was a significant correlation between internet addiction, self-esteem, aggression, impulsivity, parent's support and friend's support(γ= -.15 ~ .44). 3) Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that amount of time spent on the internet per day, impulsivity, aggression, gender, self-esteem, duration to use of internet, father's age, and the major place where the internet was used were the predictors of internet addiction and accounted for 47% of the variance in internet addiction. Conclusion: Time spend on the internet per day, impulsivity, aggression, gender, self-esteem, duration to use of internet, father's age, the major place where the internet was used accounted for internet addiction in elementary school students. Therefore it is necessary to develop nursing interventions and to further identify the depth of the relationship of the related factors in order to decrease internet addiction.
