  • This study proposes new fashion brand evaluation criteria. In developing the criteria, we emphasize the following considerations: first, the object of the evaluation should be the brand rather than the products or store second, the "new" brand should be the "new" brand from the consumer's perspective finally, only fashion brands available in department store are included to examine the relationship between evaluation criteria and consumers' relationship quality perception with a department store. Our data analysis of an online survey panel sample of 537 female consumers produced six new fashion brand evaluation criteria: merchandise power, in-store communication, brand/company image, salesperson, VMD, and assortment variety. New fashion brand evaluation criteria factors include both brand attributes and store attributes. Brand-related evaluation criteria are merchandise power, assortment variety, and brand/company images, whereas store-related criteria are VMD, salesperson, and in-store communication. The associations among brand evaluation criteria, brand attitudes, and the consumers' relationship quality with department store were tested by regression analysis.

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify that the effect of consumer's perception of nail store attributes has on intent to revisit (focus on independent stores) by performing quantitative research. The importance of nail stores is increasing with sales amounts and the number of workers, however, previous research in this area is not complete. The reason that this qualitative research should be done before the quantitative research is due to the scant theoretical background in this matter. As the nail market is steadily increasing, determining the factors to make a successful and influential store leading to revisits is very meaningful both academically and in business. For the quantitative study, consumers from 20 years old to less 60 years old who had purchased nail service at independent nail stores were included in the survey. Quota sampling was adopted in the areas where the independent nail stores were located from May 10th to May 30th, 2019, and 262 questionnaires were collected, and those containing insincere respondences were excluded. The most important nail store attribute was reliability (store name value, relationship with workers and A/S) and then the physical environment, economics, product, and promptness. The result depended on demographic factors- younger and lower-income respondents put a premium on the physical environment, promptness, and economics, on the other hand, older and higher-income respondents placed a priority on reliability. The correlation analysis result is that all store attributes (reliability, physical environment, economics, promptness, product) show a statistical significance. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to determine the effects of nail store attribute importance on revisit intention. Promptness, economics, and the physical environment have a statistically significant effect on the consumer's revisit intention.

Technological development is required to provide users with syn-aesthetic experiences that integrate the visual, tactile and the auditory. There is also a need to conduct research to increase immersion that provides users with ICT-related experiences communicated through fashion images. The study analyzed demands for haptic communication technology by Korean users in immersive VR fashion product shopping. Accordingly, it defined haptic communication through literature research, investigated immersion in the VR environment and conducted in-depth interviews for haptic communication applicable to VR shopping. VR fashion product shopping steps were divided into 4: move to store, search in store, search of product and purchase based on offline store shopping experience. It defined the haptic communication by steps and analyzed the types of the haptic feedback to be implemented. The study results provide basic data for developing haptic communication technology that can enhance e a sense of the presence and immersion experiences that can help lay a groundwork for pilot studies on the convergence of the virtual and the real.

The study also aimed to investigate whether gender moderated the relationship between consumers' fashion experiential store experiences and flow. An online survey of consumers in their 20s and 40s was conducted. The SPSS 27.0 program was used to perform frequency, factor, and reliability analysis. The structural equation model was analyzed using the SMART-PLS program. The structural model analysis confirmed that consumers' rational, physical, and relational experiences in fashion brand experiential stores strongly influenced flow and found that relational experience had the strongest influence on flow. The influence of rational, physical, and relational experiences and flow on brand attitude was confirmed, where flow had the strongest effect on brand attitude. The examination of the moderating effect of gender on the relationship between consumers' fashion experiential store experiences and flow found that the effect in men was significant for flow and brand attitude through rational experience and that the effect in women was significant for flow and brand attitude through relational experience. These results provide academic implications, and by strengthening consumer flow, we intend to propose the establishment of a marketing strategy and opportunity plan that can elicit a positive brand attitude.
