Modern society is a multi-cultural consumer society, and there are multiple trends to cater to the tastes of diverse consumers with different sociocultural background. To grasp fashion trends in fast-changing society, how consumer life is changing and what sort of trend is prevailing should be understood above all. A major fashion trend keeps on changing in every season, and that is an extensive and compound measure of what affects the lives and values of cultural receivers who take the lead in it. The purpose of this study was to delve into what sorts of trends were presented in the 21st century's different cultures, how those cultures were reflected in fashion trends, and how design elements predicted by fashion trends could serve as the sources of design that could create a new fashion. The findings of the study were as follows: First of all, the theories of popular culture and trends were reviewed to describe how general receivers found meaning and delight in the products of cultural industry in their own way and how the products were converted into diverse cultural media. Secondly, consumer styles were discussed by classifying consumers into six groups, twixter, duppie, Ubi-Nomad, NONOS, LOHAS and chav, who were generated by changing cultural codes. Thirdly, sociocultural trends and consumer changes brought a lot of diverse changes to fashion trends. The visual materials about the 2005 S/S, F/W Collection were examined to track how changing trends affected fashion style.

Rather than that stereo-type of the future, people at present tend to feel more interested in something familiar than something new. Even though the amazing product made by human for better life, people become feel afraid that value be getting disappear, and it is natural that people should put more value to the nature, admire it, people try to find the new beauty in something worn being able to be felt the passed time. The vintage has turned up in the fashion area out of the mode of the antipathy from standardization, overconsumption, and also demand of a special thing different from mass product. The vintage is not the past-inclined trend but the new trend that people try to seek in the future to feel both comfort and newness. This study analyzed the vintage fashion style getting more important and also how the vintage fashion shows focusing in the domestic fashion market. The results as follow.: There are two meaning in vintage fashion, one of two is the recycled fashion style that current fashion made with used clothing, or reforming with new and old, Second, there is the new style using the past image, so called as the revival fashion. The totally current trend can be made in something new mixed with material or silhouette from past thing. The vintage fashion as recycled and reformed fashion will be more demanded from consumers who want to be comfort and still try to pursuit something new.
이미지에 대한 연구는 그동안 사회학, 심리학 및 마케팅 분야 등에서 행해져 왔으나 각 분야의 연구의도나 목적에 맞는 이미지 개념을 적용시켜 왔기 때문에 이미지에 대한 공통적인 개념을 규정하기는 쉽지 않다. 최근 감성공학에서 출발한 감성평가를 통해 제품의 이미지를 객관적으로 평가하려는 노력들이 시도되고 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라 중년 여성들의 라이프 스타일을 몇 가지 유형으로 분류한 후, 이에 따른 패션제품에 대한 이미지 선호도를 밝히고자 하였다. 연구 방법은 선행 자료의 분석을 통한 문헌연구와 설문지법을 통한 실증 연구를 병행하였다. 연구 대상은 만 35$\sim$59세 여성으로, 총 352부의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. SPSS 11.0과 SAS for program 8.1 version을 이용하여 통계처리 하였다. 그 결과 패션 제품에 대한 이미지를 품위성, 대담성, 실용성, 여성성의 4개 인자로 하였다. 또 라이프스타일의 유형을 전통보수형, 소극정체형, 적극생활형, 외모중시형의 4개 집단으로 분류하였다. 분류된 라이프스타일 유형에 따라 선호하는 패션제품에 대한 이미지를 살펴 본 결과 전통보수형은 품위 있으며 실용적인 이미지의 패션 제품을 선호하였고, 소극정체형은 모든 패션 제품에 흥미를 보이지 않으나 여성스러움을 다소 추구하였다. 적극생활형은 대담한 이미지의 패션 제품을 선호하였으며, 외모과시형은 여성스러우며 다소 품위 있고 대담한 이미지를 선호하였다.
The objectives of this study are to identify the self-image and preferred fashion styles that Korean career women seek in different daily situations, and to propose a positioning map in accords with the findings. The study conducted a survey and in-depth interviews. The study used twenty items of self-image adjectives extracted from existing studies, and eighteen fashion style stimuli collected by examining women's wear brands. The study surveyed 329 career women. Their daily situation was classified into five situations; external meeting and presentation, ordinary work, wedding and family gathering, blind date or date, and meeting with friends and acquaintances. The analysis results of this study showed that self-image and fashion style preferences are relevant to daily situation. The image most sought in external meetings and presentation was the 'Elegant' image, and the image most sought in meetings with friends and acquaintances was the 'active' image. Women on dates or blind dates sought the 'feminine' image the most, however they preferred to avoid this image during external meetings and presentations. Among fashion styles, the 'elegant/classic' style was most preferred, and the 'sexy/avant-garde' style had the lowest preference among all the styles. 'Mannish' was preferred in ordinary work and meeting with friends and acquaintances, however, it was shown as having the lowest preference level in blind dates or dates. The 'romantic/natural' style was highly preferred in meeting with friends and acquaintances, however it had a low level of preference for external meetings and presentations. This study has significance in providing practical information to utilize in fashion industry by identifying the relationship between self-image and preferred fashion style sought by career women according to daily situation, and using the results to propose a positioning map.
The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of fashion life styles of TV-home shoppers on their fashion goods purchasings. This study analyzed TV home shoppers grouped into clusters based on their fashion life styles and identified their product-related evaluative criteria and purchasing intention according to clusters. This study also analyzed whether there are differences in clusters according to their socio-economic status. Utilizing the convenient sampling method, the sample of the study is composed of women aged over 20 living in the Seoul metropolitan area. Of 380 distributed, 196 useful questionnaires were returned. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, cluster analysis, $\chi$$^2$analysis, and One-way ANOVA. The results are as follows: Regarding fashion life styles, 5 factors, 1) fashion leadership, 2) shopping-involvement, 3) fashion image, 4) economics and 5) anti-fashion attitude were obtained. Based on the factor scores, 4 clusters, 1) aesthetic-orientation, 2) economics and fashion innovation-orientation, 3) conspicuous consumption-orientation and 4) anti-fashion attitude, were identified. Regarding the product-related evaluative criteria, there were significant differences in price, fashionability, design, size, brand reliability, refund policy, and appearances when worn according to clusters. There were also significant differences in purchasing intention when purchasing low price products and fashion items such as under wears, night and home wears, suits, leather and fur clothes, purse and bags, and shoes. Regarding the socio-econmic status, age, marital status, and occupation were significantly different according to clusters.

The results of this study are following as : The general traits of Futurism style are classified with aesthetics, formative characteristics. First, aesthetic characteristics are based on H. Bergson's life-phylosophy and F. Nietzche's art theory. Second, formative characteristics is Dynamism. Futurism Dynamism are classified with psychological Dynamism and physical Dynamism. Futurism trends in the costume : first, dynamism in fashion design, second, asymmetrical balance, third, formativeness, forth, technology, fifth, anti-traditionalism. Dynamism are expressed textile, pattern and costuem shape in contemporary dress. Asymmetrical balance are expressed costume silhouette shape and framework through the geometrical asymmetrical balance. Formativeness are agree with Paco Rabanne's fashion design expressed body and movement and phychological world of human through the secondly fabric. Technology are expressed new mechanical dynamism in used technology art and new fashion material by metal. The last, anti-traditionalism is recognized new value and idea in fashion.
3D printing is attracting attention from all industries as it enables the development of personalized product design to meet consumer needs by establishing a mutual connection system between production, management and consumers. However, there are still limitations to applying them as apparel materials, and research on the recognition of 3D printing or the preference for fashion products is needed to actually commercialize 3D printing in the fashion industry. In this study on the development of various product designs using 3D printing technology in the fashion industry, an analysis of 255 questionnaires was conducted to determine the preferences and purchase intention trends of fashion product design using 3D printing for college students. Data analysis was performed with IBM SPSS Statistics (V.24). 'Fashion sensitive pursuit', 'Individuality & brand pursuit' and 'Functional convenience' was interested in fashion accessories using 3D printing technology and customized fashion apparel products using 3D printing. 'Functional Convenience-oriented' and 'Practical Purchasing-oriented' type showed that the functionality and durability of products made using 3D printing technology were important. And 'Individuality pursuit' type indicated that design and applied materials were important when producing products using 3D printing technology.

This study was to analyze the culture and fashion style of job nomad who may be a trend of fashion in the future. The results of this study are as follows Firstly, the features of job nomad are new communication technology and information technology called new media. And key words for job nomad are non-possession and professionalism and their feature in labor is one(1) person project. Secondly, job nomad to be a trend of future fashion is seeking wearable electric machine - wearable computer fashion. Thirdly, Zen style fashion reflecting Zen idea has such features as naturalism. indeterminism, equalitarianism, and moderation. Those features coincide with the tendency of job nomad who may lead the culture of fashion in the 21st century and do with human being's life style in the 21st century. Expect that job nomad appears newly in social and cultural phenomenon through this study can be developed toward a new and sensible fashion.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the image perception of dress shirts, the shirts style preference, the men's fashion consciousness, the shirt purchase attitude, and the usage of the information source between the Daks group(44 respondents) and Renoma group(21 respondents), for developing the possibility and strategy of the dress shirt market in men's wear market for the apparel marketers and manufacturers. For this study, the data obtained from 65 respondents were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's simple correlation, ANOVA. The results from the study were as follows ; The 6 stimuli for image perception rated on 5 point Likert-type scales in the 12 features were evaluated by perceivers. By the best 3 features abstracted from each stimulus, the shirts styles were named, they were Basic style, Soft style, Sophisticated style, Modern casual style, Mannish style, and Trendy style. There were significant differences in the image perception of Mannish style, the preferences of shirts style, the fashion consciousness, the shirt purchase attitude, and the usage of the information source between the Daks group and Renoma group.
