  • In order to develop a new fashion business curriculum, this study attempts to evaluate fashion business curriculum in both domestic and foreign schools and to analyze their existing training programs. The results of this study shows that the analysis of domestic fashion business curriculum shows that 'in the field' knowledge is in need for the new fashion education program where students can be more exposed to the industry environments especially in the area of markets, sales, distribution and management. Also, the analysis of fashion marketing curriculum of F.I.T and PARSONS school of design demonstrates their emphasis on practical as well as academic programs in marketing, distribution and merchandising. In addition, the research on sales person training program reflects that future sales persons will need stronger knowledge in customer analysis, product display and shop management. Based on these findings, this investigation proposes a revised second year fashion business undergraduate program. The academic program in this updated module will place heavier emphasis on such fields as marketing, distribution, product planning and sales management. Also recommended is that the second year students will be exposed to real-world experience by participating in various internships and workshops offered by major companies in the fashion field.

  • Modem society has reached the level where its environmental pollution is in a critical stage, and socio-political focus has been moved onto the minimization of environmental pollution. In the fashion industry, ethical production and consumption for the global protection has become the value to aim for. The purpose of this study is to establish the concept of redesigned fashion, which is a type of designing method designed to reduce global waste, and conduct a case studies on it to analyze its patterns. It is a fashion design minimizing raw materials and reducing industrial wastes. The types of redesigned fashion may be divided into three patterns: first, there is a method to recreate collar, sleeves, cuffs, pocket and other usable pieces of old clothing to make a new one. Second method is about taking out usable parts of textile from various old clothing and make a new one with patchwork method. Third is about making a purse or fashion accessories using paper, vinyl, aluminum can or worn out leather. Fourth is about making a new artistic fashion by applying tearing, punching, fringing, mashing, and layering techniques. This study aim5 to help in spreading out and applying systematic practice of redesigned fashion for companies, and elaborate the sense of social responsibility for customers, and vitalize the fashion studies for redesigned fashion in academic sense.

Consequently, digital fashion film has emerged as a pivotal tool for fashion communication. Functioning as a visual expression medium, fashion film animates fashion concepts into immersive moving images. Proficiency in digital fashion communication has become imperative, considering the attributes of fashion media. Notably, the role of creative directors in ensuring coherent communication across diverse fashion media platforms has gained prominence, underscoring the need for systematic fashion education to nurture specialized talent. This study, therefore, devised a comprehensive curriculum amalgamating fashion communication and practical digital media skills, implemented within fashion major courses. Through this approach, students gained experimental media proficiency and explored innovative approaches to crafting fashion films that eloquently convey fashion narratives. The participants were exposed to the entire spectrum of fashion media production, encompassing digital storytelling, fashion film conceptualization, filming techniques, meticulous editing, and adept utilization of special effects technology. The study's pedagogical strategy, characterized by a focused learning trajectory, garnered significant acclaim. In essence, this study holds significance by formulating a curriculum that nurtures the imaginative and pragmatic aptitudes of fashion majors, immersing them in the dynamic realm of rapidly evolving digital fashion films and their integration with fashion content.

  • This study examined recycled fashion design utilizing natural images for application to recent trends. This study is significant in that it presents the possibility of the development of recycled women's wear design by reflecting the characteristics and expressions of natural images and using denim material, which is the most common clothing material for everyday life. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, five types of women's clothing was produced, pursuing a natural design with a soft and feminine silhouette. Second, the colors used were blue and white, which could represent nature. Third, as for materials, this study used clothing that was to be thrown away: four pairs of denim pants and two denim dresses. This study chose denim cloth, with its great value for reuse, because of the characteristics of the strong and durable fiber, because everyone has more than one article of clothing made from denim and because it can be easily sourced. Fourth, for textile motifs, this study expressed a peaceful natural scenery with tropical animals and plants. In addition, this study further emphasized natural images using transfer media printing. This study has significance in that it presented the possibility of recycled fashion design and expanded the range of utilization using transfer media printing, a dyeing treatment to reduce the environmental burden.
