In this paper, N-shaped slot antenna for $5.15GHz{\sim}5.35GHz$ is designed, fabricated, and measured. The prototype consist of meander corrugated N-shaped slot. To obtain suitable bandwidth, the form layer is inserted between ground plane and substrate. Important parameters in the design are N-slot length, width, position, air-gap height, and feed point position. From these parameters optimized, a four N-shaped slot antenna is fabricated and measured. The measured results of the antenna are obtained as follows results. The resonant frequency of the fabrication N-shaped slot antenna is 5.25GHz bandwidth for approximately 300MHz(VSWR<2.0) and the gain is $1.3{\sim}2.64dBi$. The experimental far-field patterns are stable across the pass band. The 3dB bandwidth in H-Plane and E-Plane are $80.21^{\circ}\;and\;103.38^{\circ}$, respectively.

Polyethylene used as insulating material of power cable is nonpolar and low dielectric loss polymer. But it has defects of tree generation and accumulation of space charge by an applied voltage resulting in the decreased life and performance. To solve these problems, mixed films with LLDPE and EVA that is similar to LLDPE at physical properties in case of low VA contents were made and tested due to the blend ratios of 80:20, 70:30, 60:40 and 50:50[wt%] respectively. We investigated AC electrical treeing characteristics to acquire the best mixture ratio and effect of the tip radius of needle electrode to develop excellent treeproof materials. The degree of crystallity calculated with XRD pattern is higher for pure LLDPE, 50:50 and 70:30. For DSC analysis, it is confirmed that the melting points of mixed specimens are lower than that of pure LLDPE and higher than pure EVA's. The shape of tree propagation showed that pure EVA was electrical tree shape of the branch type, pure LLDPE and blended specimens was able to confirm tree shape of the bush type. As the tip radius go up in the blend ratio 70:30 specimen, the tree inception voltage rise. Probably the reason is the relaxation of electric field in the specimen with bigger tip ratio. As the 6 specimens were applied AC 5[KV],7.5[KV],10[KV] respectively, tree growth length is far shorter in the specimen with blend ratio 70:30, 50:50 than in pure EVA and pure LLDPE specimen. Conclusively, it is confirmed that specimens of which blend ratio are 70:30 and 50:50 are good in electrical tree retardant characteristics, especially, 70:30 has lower dielectric loss than 50:50 and its mixture ratio is the best.

This study examined one of the concerned or even imperative issues in the field of contemporary finance related to approaching an optimal level of cash holdings for the firms belonging to the chaebols in the Korean domestic capital markets. However, the subject may not have been drawn much attention so far, even if there are still ongoing and active debates among the interest parties at the macro- or micro-level. Two primary hypotheses were postulated to be empirically tested. On the results of the first hypothesis test for the existence of an optimal cash reserves for the sample firms, two estimation techniques were performed in terms of a quadratic regression equation and a relationship between a firm's value and the residuals derived from the static panel date model. As a primary financial implication of the study which may contribute to the practitioners and the academics in finance, the optimal level of cash holdings can be estimated by controlling for the a priori significant components for the sample firms towards maximizing firm value.
In order to improve software quality, it is necessary to efficiently and effectively remove software defects in source codes. In the development field, defects are removed according to removal ratio or severity of defects. There are several studies on the removal of defects based on software quality attributes, and several other studies have been done to improve the software quality using classification of the severity of defects, when working on projects. These studies have thus far been insufficient in terms of identifying if there exists relationships between defects or whether any type of defect is more important than others. Therefore, in this study, we collected various types of software defects, standards organization, companies, and researchers. We modeled the defects types using an ANP model, and developed the weighted severities of the defects types, with respect to the general application software, using the ANP model. When general application software is developed, we will be able to use the weight for each severity of defect type, and we expect to be able to remove defects efficiently and effectively.

This study aims to develop a fully passive smart sensing tag utilizing RF (Radio Frequency) energy harvesting technology at UHF (Ultra High Frequency) band of 915MHz. To optimize the power collected under various radiated conditions, an efficient energy harvesting module exploiting a boost circuit with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is employed. Specifically, the proposed tag features two orthogonal antennas to enhance its capability of both energy scavenging and data transmissions. The experimental result shows that the developed smart sensor tag can scavenge an RF input power of as low as 0.19mW at a distance of 4 meters for a 3.6Vdc output. Furthermore, the proposed smart sensor tag performs the feasibility of completely autonomous monitoring food freshness at 2 meters with a low-power sensor array.

The 2D flow around 13 similar stay-vane profiles with different trailing edge geometries is investigated to determinate the main characteristics of the excitation forces for each one of them and their respective dynamic behaviors when modeled as a free-oscillating system. The main goal is avoid problems with cracks of hydraulic turbines components. A stay vane profile with a history of cracks was selected as the basis for this work. The commercial finite-volume code $FLUENT^{(R)}$ was employed in the simulations of the stationary profiles and, then, modified to take into account the transversal motion of elastically mounted profiles with equivalent structural stiffness and damping. The k-$\omega$ SST turbulence model is employed in all simulations and a deforming mesh technique used for models with profile motion. The static-model simulations were carried out for each one of the 13 geometries using a constant far field flow velocity value in order to determine the lift force oscillating frequency and amplitude as a function of the geometry. The free-oscillating stay-vane simulations were run with a low mass-damping parameter ($m^*{\xi}=0.0072$) and a single mean flow velocity value (5m/s). The structural bending stiffness of the stay-vane is defined by the Reduced Velocity parameter (Vr). The dynamic analyses were divided into two sets. The first set of simulations was carried out only for one profile with $2{\leq}Vr{\leq}12$. The second set of simulations focused on determining the behavior of each one of the 13 profiles in resonance.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the origin of materials of sanddune in the Chungcheongnamdo. The sands consist mainly of quartz with lesser amount of feldspar and other heavy minerals. With the exception of those from the granite, the sands have a very fine texture. Another characteristic of the sand grains is the low degrees of roundness and grading which indicates that the source areas of the material are not far from the accumulating field. The rivers and streams of this region are not effective in transporting sediments for the coastal dunes. It has been recognized that the beaches and sanddunes have recently been receded as a result of the decrease in materials and the devastating actions of the breakers. The degradation process occurs most actively when the spring tides attack the beaches and foredunes. There are strata with red tint along the coastal areas of the Chungcheongnamdo which trace their origin back to the Pleistocene. From the fact that they contain little or no gravels, the strata are believed to have been the sanddunes during the last interglacial period. This fossil dunes provide part of the materials for the development of the present-day sanddunes along the coastal areas of the region.
This study was carried out to understand the formation of acid mine drainage (AMD) by pyrophyllite (so-called Napseok)-rainwater interaction (weathering), dispersion patterns of heavy metals, and patterns of mixing with non-polluted water in the Tongnae pyrophyllite mine. Based on the mass balance and reaction path modeling, using both the geochemistry of water and occurrence of the secondary minerals (weathering products), the geochemical evolution of AMD was simulated by computer code of SOLVEQ and CHILLER. It shows that the pH of stream water is from 6.2 to 7.3 upstream of the Tongnae mine. Close to the mine, the pH decreases to 2. Despite being diluted with non-polluted tributaries, the acidity of mine drainage water maintains as far as downstream. The results of modeling of water-rock interaction show that the activity of hydrogen ion increases (pH decreases), the goncentration of ${HCO_3}^-$ decreases associated with increasing $H^+$ activity, as the reaction is processing. The concentration of ${SO_4}^{2-}$first increases minutely, but later increases rapidly as pH drops below 4.3. The concentrations of cations and heavy metals are controlled by the dissolution of reactants and re-dissolution of derived species (weathering products) according to the pH. The continuous adding of reactive minerals, namely the progressively larger degrees of water-rock interaction, causes the formation of secondary minerals in the following sequence; goethite, then Mn-oxides, then boehmite, then kaolinite, then Ca-nontronite, then Mgnontronite, and finally chalcedony. The results of reaction path modeling agree well with the field data, and offer useful information on the geochemical evolution of AMD. The results of reaction path modeling on the formation of AMD offer useful information for the estimation and the appraisal of pollution caused by water-rock interaction as geological environments. And also, the ones can be used as data for the choice of appropriate remediation technique for AMD.
In the model legume Medicago truncatula, two mutants, sickle and sunn, exhibit morphologically and genetically distinct hypernodulation phenotypes. However, efforts to isolate the single recessive and single semidominant genes for sickle and sunn, respectively, by map-based cloning have so far been unsuccessful, partly due to the absence of clones that enable walks from linked marker positions. To help resolve these difficulties, a new bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library was constructed using BamHI-digested genomic fragments. A total of 23,808 clones were collected from ligation mixtures prepared with double-size-selected high-molecular-weight DNA. The average insert size was 116 kb based on an analysis of 88 randomly selected clones using NotI digestion and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis. About 18.5% of the library clones lacked inserts. The frequency of the BAC clones carrying chloroplast or mitochondrial DNA was 0.98% and 0.03%, respectively. The library represented approximately 4.9 haploid M. truncatula genomes. Hybridization of the BAC clone filters with a $C_{0}t-l$ DNA probe revealed that approximately 37% of the clones likely carried repetitive sequence-enriched DNA. An ordered array of pooled BAC DNA was screened by polymerase chain reactions using 13 sequence-characterized molecular markers that belonged to the eight linkage groups. Except for two markers, one to five positive BAC clones were obtained per marker. Accordingly, the sickle- and sunn-linked BAC clones identified herein will be useful for the isolation of these biotechnologically important genes. The new library will also provide clones that fill the gaps between preexisting BAC contigs, facilitating the physical mapping and genome sequencing of M. truncatula.
The functional evaluation of constructed permeable pavements was conducted in terms of water permeable performance and noise reduction measurements in Seoul city. The field measurements of noise was based on two methods such as pass-by and novel close proximity(NCPX). The pass-by test and NCPX method are related to noise propagation and tire/pavement interaction noise measurement, respectively. For the water permeable tests, five sections were chosen; furthermore, the measurements were conducted for both of wheel path and non-wheel path area. For the pass-by measurement, three sections were chosen; furthermore, two different locations, which were near measurement point to traffic noise and far measurement point inside park or hosing complex, were selected for each section. Finally, tire/pavement interaction noise measurements were carried out at four locations. The results show that the functional performance of water permeability and noise reduction was well remained within 2 or 3 years after permeable pavement construction.
