This study was to investigate the housewives' purchase behaviors on the environment-friendly agricultural products (EFAP) by survey in Daejeon area housewives. 390 questionnaires were used and analysed. Most of the subjects were female (92.6%) distributed evenly in their 40's (55.4%), and graduated from high school (43.6%) or college (36.4%). Subjects' occupation was most housewives (64.1%) and 77.4% of the subjects had monthly family income of 2 million won or more. 76.9% of the subjects had purchased EFAP already. The reason of purchasing EFAP was mainly "good for health" (80.3%), and reason for non-purchasing was "high prices" (28%) or "not so trustworthy" (25.6%). The most purchasing frequency was "once a week" (29%). 46.7% of the subjects spent 20% of their agricultural product cost for EFAP and 38.7% of them spent less than 30,000 won per month for EFAP. On checking of EFAP labeling, the housewives scored 3.59 for the validate date, 3.25 for the place of origin, 2.8 for the quality certification mark by 4-point Likert scale. 65.1% of the subject had intention to increase purchasing of EFAP in future. To promote the consumption of EFAP, the improvement factors were price-cutting (47.9%), trust on producers (18.2%) and quality betterment (17.7%). Accordingly, the consumers prefer EFAP for wellbeing health of families; however, they hesitate to buy due to their high price and the low reliability on producers of EFAP. Thus the producers and the related organization of EFAP should contrive proper countermeasures to increase consumer's satisfaction level on their credibility and price of EFAP.
The goal of this investigation was to produce a zirconia-family black ceramics that has enhanced functionality and reliability. Color zirconia ceramics have been produced by adding pigments. Pigments cause structural defects within zirconia and result in a drop in physical properties. Using environmentally friendly rice husk, we produced a black zirconia that is free of structural defects. In optimal firing conditions for black zirconia the calcining temperatures of the molding product are changed from $400^{\circ}C$ to $1200^{\circ}C$, and the firing temperatures are changed from $1400^{\circ}C$ to $1600^{\circ}C$. Color of testing the specimens was analyzed using Ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), EDAX (EDX), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analyses were carried out in order to examine impregnation properties and crystal phases. Universial Test Machine (UTM) was used to measure the flexual strength as well as the compressive strength. From experimental results, it was found that in optimal firing conditions the sample was calcined from $1000^{\circ}C$ to $1500^{\circ}C$. Commission internationalde I'Edairage (CIE) values of manufactured black zirconia color were $L^*$ = 29.73, $a^*$ = 0.23, $b^*$ = -2.68. The bending strength was 918 MPa and the compressive strength was 2676 MPa. These strength values are similar to typical strength values of zirconia, which confirms that carbon impregnation did not influence physical properties.

This study examined the satisfaction of the married women from aged 20s through 50s with well-being oriented foods, considering the importance of each subordinate field and verifying the differences between the groups according to socio-demographic factors, purchase behavior factors, and well-being oriented dietary life factors, followed by an analysis of the relative influence of those relevant factors. A preliminary survey was conducted from January 4th-11th, 2009 to check if there were any problems or misunderstood parts before the main survey. After the preliminary study was conducted, certain problems were adjusted and supplemented, and then the main survey was conducted for twenty-three days, from January 4th to February 5th, 2009. The summaries of this study are as follows: First, in the view of the purchase behavior, the mainly purchased well-being oriented foods were farm products, and the leading purpose of the purchase was for the parents and the children. It was shown that 30% or more of the information sources on well-being oriented foods were families, relatives and neighbors. More than 66% of the purchasing was done at wholesale marts and the topped purchasing frequency was from 5 to 6 per month. More than 71% of payments for well-being oriented foods were \50,000~100,000 per month. More than 51% of the respondents answered that the proper price of well-being oriented foods was 1.2 times to 1.5 times of that of other foods. Second, the satisfaction of the well-being oriented foods was ranked as 3.21 to 3.28 out of 5, and varied with the usages and the methods of weights. Investigating the satisfaction with each subordinate field, the satisfaction with price was shown to be low. The satisfaction with the assortments of foods and the satisfaction with the therapeutic degree by thorough investigation and management of foods were also relatively low. Third, well-being oriented dietary behavior was shown to be characterized by two factors, through factor analysis in this study. One was an eco-friendly oriented behavioral factor and the other was a health oriented selective factor. Fourth, the stepwise multiple regression analysis results investigating the relative influence of the factors effecting satisfaction with well-being oriented foods showed that the top ranked factor affecting total satisfaction was eco-friendly oriented behavioral factor, followed by education level and purchasing sites, especially of consumer groups.

Multi Housing design has not considered the remodeling even at the beginning of the construction. This severely hindered systematic maintenance, providing fundamental causes of consuming society. In general, in about 20 years when the buildings become too old, they are brought down or removed with a trail of waste left behind. In addition, since the current remodeling or future remodeling type is a general remodeling that leaves only a frame, some question the role of the remodeling as a solution to the reconstruction from economically and environmentally efficient aspects. This study intends to find a solution for long-life span multi-family housing design, promoting sequential remodeling by stating the life cycle of components. Problems were identified by analyzing joints, design and construction of multi-family housing based on the previous researches. Conclusion from characterization of the design plan according to joint parts can be summarized as the following firstly, the problem of the wet was seen in joints between the structure and a finishing materials and ones between separate finishing materials. Secondly, the problem of overlap was frequently seen in joints between the structure and a door/window, ones between a door/window and a finishing materials, and ones between a finishing materials and an electrical/mechanical device.

The objectives of this study were: a) to classify rural women's roles according to apicultural activity, and b) to find out the needs for education system related to women's roles in agricultural technology and the participation in decision making of farming activities, and c) to put forward the programs in agricultural educational system for supporting rural women according to their role types. This study was based on a literature review, empirical analysis including women in rural Korea. Based on the empirical findings, the following suggestions could be of offered for helping the rural women according to the types of their roles. 1) Family cultural reform, farming helper system, relief of housework allotment, supporting educational expenses, equal opportunity and easier places for participations should be strengthened in education programs of women farmers in Korea. 2) Government should provide diverse incentive programs, appropriate information and educational supports for women farmers' agricultural education including equipment and facilities for easy farm management. 3) Automation and mechanization of farm works, computer education, eco-friendly agricultural production skills, family consciousness and group action, importance and the future prospects of agriculture and farming, leadership role should be strengthened in agricultural education programs for rural women.
Purpose: This study was to explore subjectivity on childbearing in high school students. Methods: A Q-methodology which provides a method of analyzing the subjectivity of each type was used. Forty-three high school students classified 40 selected Q-statements into 9 points standard. The obtained data were analyzed by using the pc-QUANL program. Results: High school students' subjectivity on childbearing were analyzed into two types: Type 1 turned out to be 'FOLS (family oriented life style)' and Type 2 'CINK (couple important no kid)'. Conclusion: In order to resolve such problems as low birth rate and the advanced age of the population, effective youth and adult programs, policy and institution are required. The current demographic, economic and other factors such as personal values and policies may lower birth rate. In particular, youths' need for children and birth rate tend to be lower. There are positive and negative patterns in high school students' subjectivity on childbearing. Thus, national and social efforts are needed to change negative factors into positive ones. In order to maintain positive subjectivity on childbearing in high school students, it is necessary to apply family-centered educational programs and to implement birth-friendly and realistic programs for promoting child birth.
This study classifies the types of visitors to experiential fishing villages and analyses the features and target marketing strategies by categorical groups. Seven factors are extracted by Factor Analysis and the results of Cluster Analysis indicate the classification of five groups. The first group puts emphasis on the family connection, so family centered facilities and programs are necessary. The second group is composed of surrounding area residents whose purpose of visit is unclear. So environmentally friendly village development programs to encourage local patriotism are necessary. The third group puts emphasis on the necessary facilities and programs for experiencing the fishing village and traditional play, etc. The fourth group emphasizes programs related with the region and the means to satisfy visitor's aesthetic desires. Finally, the fifth group aims at various desires that are generally felt in experiential fishing villages. So this group requires marketing strategies from the public point of view. The existing research mostly surveys rural tourism villages, but this study highlights the difference in dealing with fishing villages as opposed to rural villages, from the perspective of industry and settlement.

Many social and environmental changes have emerged due to the increasing size of the aging generation. This study explored the current status of the information leisure activity of the aging generation (computer use activity, internet service participation, social community participation and blogging, UCC, etc.) and the need for serious games among elderly consumers. It analyzed the current status of serious game and information leisure span as determined by experts on elderly care at the aging welfare institute. The research methods involved applying content analysis and focus group interviews. The results were as follows: The elderly are willing to enjoy the internet and economics networks. In particular, economic investment, economic news, health, meetings, and communication are the main internet search categories. The results for serious games are less interesting than those for IT participation. The components of usefulness in terms of serious games, as identified by care experts, are simplicity, a user-friendly interface, efficacy, and certainty in using the game device. Care experts recognize that serious games represent a supplementary device to traditional physical and emotional therapy.

The awareness of ecological friendliness has been emerging in the recent years, and the application to housing is quite notable. The purpose of this study was to examine multi-family housing that has recently developed with the idea of ecological friendliness, and to investigate the residents' attitudes toward and their preferences for the features. The research utilized in-depth interviews and site visits, and seven residents in the studied housing developments participated in the study. The analytical tool used in the interview was reviewed by a panel of professionals and included five aspects of ecologically friendliness: residential comfort, energy saving, open housing, storage, and safety and security. The respondents pointed out that south-facing housing in relation to residential comfort was most favorable. With regard to energy-saving, water-saving features and dehydrator of food waste were most needed features. As for open housing-related features, flexibility in spatial configuration was necessary, and efficient storage was regarded as important. Also, the respondents mentioned the preference for flooring preventing slippery in bathroom for the safety of family member.
This study was conducted to generate fundamental data required by food coordinators and food space creators for planning and directing table settings. The results of this study were then used to suggest an ideal model of table settings for Korean-style food equipped with simple, sophisticated, and practical characteristics. Specifically, this study evaluated the importance of hygiene (safety, cleanness, arrangement), decoration (dignity, form, stylishness, presentation of food on plates), naturalness (seasonal beauty, comfortableness, natural beauty), and modernity (modern style, chic style, urban style). These factors were evaluated according to the preference of the table setting and the characteristics of the meeting, which fit various meal cultures, times, places, and objectives. The results of this study indicate that people prefer hygiene and decoration for family meetings (bansang setting), hygiene and modernity for friendly meetings (simple buffet setting), hygiene and decoration for company meetings (simple buffet setting), and hygiene and decoration for academic meetings (tea party). Hygiene and decoration were highly evaluated in most cases, which indicates that individuals at meetings for special purposes give weight to the meeting's atmosphere, but also consider the hygiene and cleanliness of the food.
