The purpose of this study was to examine the residents' opinions on the degree of importance, and satisfaction with, the managerial service of multi-family housing. Residents' participation in managerial activities was also examined, because residents' opinions should be taken into serious consideration in order to improve the efficiency of housing management. Research methods used in this study were survey, field study, and content analysis of professionals' opinions. Survey data of 520 residents who live in multi-family housing were analyzed by means, frequencies, correlation, chi-square tests, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, post-hoc estimation (Scheffee test), and regression. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, many residents were dissatisfied with the quality of managerial service, but they thought that managerial services were very important. For example, they thought that safety inspection of the playground was very important, yet the current level of service was not satisfactory. Second, the characteristics of residents that determined the degree of residential satisfaction were income the location of the residence, and degree of participation in the community events. Third, the residents generally did not want to participate in the managerial services and community programs through such activities as participation in resident committee. In order to improve the housing management efficiency, residents' participation is critical. Some participants in this study pointed out that the details of management service and future plans need to be made public. New management models need to be developed to promote residents' participation and increase their satisfaction in the management.

This study is based on the National Pension Research Institute's 2013 Korean Retirement and Income Study(KReIS) 5 Data for Parents and Children Care over 50 years old and analyzed the satisfaction level of life according to the characteristics of 226 people in society. The results showed that women were more satisfied with their lives than men, and when the age was lower, when they had spouses, and when they had independent economic power. As for the grandchildren caring provider, the higher the education levels, the higher the satisfaction with life. And across all areas, the grandchildren care provider showed greater satisfaction with life than the parents care provider. These results show that the burden of the parents' carers is as great as that. Suggestions based on these results are as follows. First, It is necessary to develop a health care program that can be easily accessed by family carers. Second, Direct economic support is needed, with the primary focus being on family carers. Third, services targeting parents care providers are needed. It is also necessary to form a network that can share the difficulties of parental care.
Purpose: The aims of this study were to identify the effects of caring burden and the way of coping on burnout in caregivers of cancer patients. Methods: One-hundred and forty family caregivers of cancer patients who visited the cancer center at one tertiary hospital in metropolitan city B were included. The data collection was conducted from August 1st to October 1st, 2018, using a structured, self-reported questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: In the multiple regression analysis, the subject's gender (${\beta}=.12$, p=.028) and caring burden (${\beta}=.74$, p<.001) had a significant effect on burnout. The explanatory power of the subject's gender, education level, religion, caring time, number of family caregivers, monthly income, economic burden, expectation for treatment, caring burden, the way of aggressive coping, and the way of passive coping with burnout was 63.8% (F=23.28, p<.001). Conclusion: Reducing the caring burden in family caregivers of cancer patients will ultimately contribute to reducing burnout, thereby contributing to an improvement in the psychological well-being and quality of life of family members, as well as positively contributing to the recovery of patients.
The purpose of this research was to examine the level and trends in household clothing expenditure in Korea. Raw data sets produced by the National Statistical Office from the Family Income and Expenditure Survey from 1991 to 2004 were used to support time-series and cross-sectional analyses. The clothing expenditures decreased severely and quickly during the economic crisis of late 1997 through 1998, then increased slowly after the economic crisis until 2003, only to slightly decrease again in 2004. The ratio of clothing expenditure to total household expenditure decreased from 8.03% in 1991 to 5.11% in 2004. This decrease in relative clothing expenditure was greater in the lower income group than in the middle and high income groups. Clothing expenditure patterns were unique and differed from other household expenditures. Although the economic crisis in the late 1990s affected Korean consumers' clothing expenditure, clothing expenditure patterns showed a more fundamental and structural change from 1991 to 2004, with the overall decrease in such expenditure resulting from the concurrent increase in educational and information-communication related expenditures. Clothing expenditure was shown to be luxurious through cross-sectional analysis, but necessary through time-series analysis.
This research aims to analyze rational decision behavior in different stages of purchasing for consumers buying household appliance goods and deals with differences in socio-demographic features and relevant variables among completely rational, intermediatedly rational, and irrational groups as well as variables differentiating those groups. First, one third of purchasers for Kimchi refrigerators was the rational consumer while a half of purchasers for side-by-side refrigerators and washing machines was. Second, there was no significant differences in satisfactions levels after purchase between rational and irrational groups among purchasers of side-by-side refrigerators but between completely and intermediately rational groups in the case of Kimchi refrigerators. Rational groups of consumers for Tromm washing machines rely on various places for purchase and also show the high level of intention for repurchase. Third, in studies of variables differentiating rationality in purchase behavioral patterns of consumers, rational choices turn out to prevail (1) among purchasers of married, college graduated, employers, and high income in the case of side-by-side refrigerators, (2) among buyers of male, old-aged, college graduated, non-employers, low, income, and hurrying to purchase in the case of Kimchi refrigerators, and (3) among buyers of old-aged, high income, not hurrying to purchase, and visiting numerous stores in the case of Tromm washing machines.
Interest in fruit and vegetables has increased due to changes in consumer consumption patterns, socioeconomic status, and family structure. This study determined the factors influencing the demand for fruit and vegetables (strawberries, paprika, tomatoes and cherry tomatoes) using a panel of Rural Development Administration household-level purchases from 2010 to 2018 and compared the ability to the prediction performance. An artificial neural network model was constructed, linking household characteristics with final food expenditure. Comparing the analysis results of the artificial neural network with the results of the panel model showed that the artificial neural network accurately predicted the pattern of the consumer panel data rather than the fixed effect model. In addition, the prediction for strawberries was found to be heavily affected by the number of families, retail places and income, while the prediction for paprika was largely affected by income, age and retail conditions. In the case of the prediction for tomatoes, they were greatly affected by age, income and place of purchase, and the prediction for cherry tomatoes was found to be affected by age, number of families and retail conditions. Therefore, a more accurate analysis of the consumer consumption pattern was possible through the artificial neural network model, which could be used as basic data for decision making.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence HRQOL for married working women. Methods: The subjects of the study were 577 full-time working married women living in five province. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire, from April to September 2006. Results: As for the general characteristics, there was a statistically significant difference in the level of HRQOL(total) according to age, education, menopause, family income, leisure activities, residence, duration of marriage, number of children, firstborn age, household duties of husband, job, career, type of work, women's income, and purpose of working. The level of HRQOL showed a statistically significant difference according to BMI and behavioral factors except for caffeine intake and follow up health screening. The HRQOL were significantly correlated with depression, marital satisfaction and job satisfaction. The multiple regression analysis showed that the HRQOL were significantly predicted by depression, marital satisfaction, education, regular exercise, daily working hours and job satisfaction. These variables explained 48.5% of the variance of HRQOL. Depression was the main predictor of HRQOL. Conclusion: It could be concluded that nursing intervention to reduce depression should be developed to promote the HRQOL for married working women.
