  • This study is carried out to analyze transition about educational facilities of elementary schools with the change of policy and to find out a developmental direction for qualitative improvement. An analysis of blueprints is done to 34 elementary schools representing periodic characteristics after the 1960's. As a result, various cases were shown in arrangement type, unit space, block planning and plane planning of the schools after a abolition of law about the standardization of educational facilities on 1997, however, they were showing a tendency to simplify after the introduction of BTL on 2005. Spatial composition factors were very various in the schools planned from the middle of 1990's to the early of 2000's. Meanwhile, nearly fifty percent of occupying ratio about learning space in the schools of standard type was gradually decreased by modernization planning on 1990's. However, it was increased a little again after the BTL. In case of living area, the occupying ratio was comparatively high in the schools having characteristics of 1990's and it also tends to increase after the introduction of BTL.

In addition, it was intended to prepare a mid- to long-term landscape plan basic concept for the formation and management of the Saemangeum agricultural land landscape. Therefore, in this study, landscape management by type for processing/storage facilities, production/processing facilities, complex/sales facilities, and research/experimental facilities for facilities scheduled to move in after setting the direction and five strategies for landscape management considering the specificity of agricultural land direction was set. In addition, the landscape management direction for 6 common landscape elements such as buildings, open spaces, advertisements, colors, public facilities, and night scenery was also presented. In particular, Agroworks, Agro City, and Agro Town, which are important landscape areas, are landscape-focused management areas, and the landscape management direction for the area has been established. This study is considered to have great utility value when setting landscape standards for public or private buildings and infrastructure, development projects, etc. to be moved in prior to establishing a landscape plan for agricultural land. It is expected that it can be used as a basis for deliberation and review of the landscape standards derived from this study in the future landscape-related licensing for agricultural land.

  • In this study, thirteen villages in Chonnam province were selected as case study sites and the spatial distribution of the facilities in the villages was examined to provide basic information fur the establishment of rural plans. According to the questionnaire survey, various problem such as environmental pollution, position, scene, management etc. was brought owing to cattle shed, and dissension was more or less seen by scale of facilities, management of facilities and waste, regional factor(stock farming management condition, life style and attitude of inhabitants) and topographical factor (height, position physical aspect of a mountain, distance with water resources etc.) etc.. The facilities could be classified into 6 types based on the their spatial locations: 1) Type 1, facilities located at the waterside; 2) Type 2, facilities located at the entrance of village; 3) Type 3 facilities, scattered in the residential area: 4) Type 4 facilities, collectivized in village; 5) Type 5 facilities, adjoining village; and 6) Type 6 facilities, scattered irregularly inside and outside of village. Based on the classification, possible implementations for the reduction of environmental impacts were suggested. The results of this study could be used as an example of study on the distribution, classification, and rearrangement of environment-impacting facilities in rural areas for improvement of their roles in providing amenity resources.
